Pretty solid option for pizza or a salad in Lebanon. I like the salads! I'm not a really a big pizza person but it's pretty good!! They also have an appetizer called pinwheels that are delicious!!! They gave plenty of seating. Don't go on a Sunday or Monday as they're closed on those days. read more

First time was a charm. While heading out for a Saturday night dinner we were driving by this location and my wife said they had some good reviews. We joined them and added another good review. The restaurant was not what I expected, but ended up being a small town great experience. It's a sit down restaurant that you order at the counter and pick up your food. We had the Lasagna and spaghetti baked and it was delicious. The pizza looked great and I can't wait to try it. Definitely a place to check out. It did seem rather expensive ($75)--one pizza, one salad, one calzone, an order of spaghetti, and an order of meatball sliders. I had the salad which was a nice size and tasted very fresh. I tasted the calzone which would certainly be a reason to go back. I actually find it difficult to get a good calzone many places. I don't mind the self-service to pick up the order and get the drinks because it means I don't have to wait on someone who may get busy when I'm ready to eat or thirsty. Tasted a small piece of pizza as well. Very nice thin crispy crust but not a cracker type crust so still had some softness to it. Overall it really isn't too bad. Order at the counter, sit down and then they call your order. Kinda weird for a sit down Italian/pizza joint. We had these little pizza pinwheels. I'm still trying to figure out exactly what they were. Not much flavor other than the greasy cheese. Ordered a pizza also. Pizza was decent. Not much decent pizza in this small town but this one is totally acceptable. Just remember to ask for your pizza cut "pie style". If not, they cut it into these little diamond shapes for some reason, a gimmick I guess. Because when you cut it like that, you loose all the crisp. I discovered Painturo's when i was living in Goodlettsville. They have some pretty awesome lunch specials, but they are good for both lunch and dinner! Keep in mind they are pretty busy during both lunch and dinner, so I would try to arrive before/after the rush! There pizzas are good. Though for me, the calzones are the best! I haven't found any others in the Nashville area that compare. You can choose your own fillings ( i usually do bacon,onion,jalapeno,italian sausage). Takes a little bit to cook, but it's worth it. We are from Arizona on a road trip to Bryson City, NC. We looked up a good local restaurant on Yelp and found Painturo's Pizza. Although a bit off the freeway, it's completely worth it!!!! Focaccia with homemade marinara and homemade sweet garlic dressing was the best I've had, and I make my own! We had the Nick's sandwich and a large pizza w sausage, pep, bacon, ham, and jalapeños. This place reminds me of something out of the 1980s, dingy with an aroma of old bread and cheese. It's self-service so their is no critique on the service. With that being said there is an expectation that the food will be phenomenal. The food was absolutely terrible we ordered ravioli and a chicken salad. The ravioli was way over cooked and stale and the cheese was burnt. It was barely edible and we left more than half of the food on the table after the meal. The chicken in the salad was dry and tasted like it has been boiled earlier in the day left out. If that isn't bad enough the business actually ran our card twice so a subpar $35 meal for three became a double charged meal for $70. I'm a veteran and spent a year in Iraq so I don't really have the pickiest pallet. This was worst than a cafeteria in Kuwait. We contacted the business about the double charge and we were told that "There is nothing they could do to void the charge" we would have to contact our bank. They offered a credit on our next meal (with our own money). I don't know why they thought we would ever want to eat there? Avoid at all costs I would never return. read more

This place is fantastic!!! First of all, everyone is super nice and helpful. I wrote that first because of just how nice they are. It makes my whole experience better when the staff seems to genuinely be glad to be where they are and helping in the way they are. On to the food - The breadsticks came out right away and made my tummy very happy! My hubby was crazy about his lasagna - like for real. There were more than enough pizza selections, or you could customize one. My oldest scarfed down his 10" (the small) Mucha Macha (I hope I spelled that right) meaty pizza in no time. Loved it! My ceaser salad was perfect - tangy with plenty of dressing and just the right portion. Btw, they rocked the quickness of the food prep! As for COVID related stuff - they have certain tables closed off so as to keep to the social distancing standards. You don't have to where a mask inside, though certain of the staff were wearing them if they had to come out into the eating area. Otherwise, plexiglass dividers were up in the order, pickup area. Individually packed silverware/napkins were available. If you wanted refills at the soda machine, it was required to grab a new cup. But everything was conveniently placed to grab what you needed. Soooo good! I like how their crust is thin and buttery and a lot of good flavor in their cheese. I got the chicken pesto and added onions and black olives. I also like how they cut it in small squares which for me makes it go a longer way and was easier to snack on while driving because I couldn't wait to get home and eat it. Loved the juicy tomatoes on top that gave it the authenticity I appreciate. The service was awesome too. We got there before they opened but because they saw us sitting in our car waiting they came out and told us to come in and order 15 min before they opened. Very modest and unassuming from the outside, but hands down the best Italian food in Lebanon. You simply place your order at the counter, find your seat, and wait for them to call your number. We got the farmhouse pizza with 4 toppings and the baked spaghetti. Both were delicious for different reasons. The pizza crust is amazing - it has cornmeal in it for a crunchy texture, a savory sauce, and it is loaded with toppings - not greasy at all. The baked spaghetti has the perfect noodle/sauce/mozzarella ratio - good flavor and very comforting. And I have to give them kudos on the customer service. They were very friendly and welcoming - we showed up a half hour before close. The bread with the spaghetti was a little cold, so they replaced it with more piping hot bread, and brought a second plate by too. Every time we're in Lebanon, we make a point to stop here, and we'll be back again. The prices are very reasonable, food delicious and fresh, and the folks working there friendly and polite. Staff was friendly, the place was clean, and the food was VERY good, but we waited 35mins for 2 sandwiches. That's unacceptable.
