A bit more salty than I'm used to and texture was different. I think that was because of the muscadine syrup they put on top. I'm also thinking that may be the cause the saltiness. That they add a but more salt to counter the sweetness of the syrup. It was super tasty though. This was the train station Diamond Bessie and Rothchild took to Jefferson, and it still functions as a depot for Amtrack trains as well as a historical location and museum. You drive down a nice residential street with lovely homes to get to the depot. Lots and lots of parking, most of it unused when we were there. There is an overpass you can clearly see from the parking lot that has Marshall, Texas Home of the Boogie Woogie as a sign. This is later explained in a historical marker on the property of which there are quite a few. When you first look over at the depot you can see several old timey trains they have displayed in an outdoor setting. Then there are two historical markers almost right away. One is for the Texas and Pacific depot which gives the history of Marshall's first railroad and what it became than one for Ginocchio Hotel and Restaurant which has a rich history. The restaurant still runs in some form but doesn't open until 5pm and we were there way before that so we sadly didn't get to eat there are see the inside. Fun fact, the original owner Charles Ginocchio owned several properties near the depot including the site where Maurice Barrymore was wounded, and actor Ben Porter was killed by being shot. Maurice is an ancestor of Drew Barrymore. Then you get to the door of the depot to yet another historical marker! This one on the birth of Boogie Woogie. You head down some stairs and a long concrete enclosed walkway which leads to the station where you can catch a train or buy tickets. It's cool it still functions then upstairs is the museum which has limited hours. The museum is very niche, it has some information about the history of trains and travel but it mostly focuses on this depot and its history, some of it very interesting but limited. There was some interactivity with it but the punch card section didn't have any punch cards to use which was disappointing as it limited the interactive part and it double as a souvenir you could take with you. They have some great photos and a large scale model set up in the back that both moves and has a can you find the objects listed as a fun little game. It is a small area and doesn't' take long if you don't have a lot of time but they do pack in quite a bit in the little area. This was fun and interesting, but it won't be for everyone, it is very niche and unless you love Texas History or the history of trains this may not appeal but I am glad we went as learning new things is never a bad thing.

The venue hosts a variety of events from comedians like Tom Papa, who I saw, to upcoming musical acts such as LeAnn Rimes, and to community events such as the Longview Symphony. Tickets are somewhat pricey. To see the comedian Tom Papa, I paid nearly $50 per seat. The theater was only about 10% filled. There were so many empty seats. I feel like they would have been better off setting their ticket price lower and filling the venue than the situation at hand. I bought box seats. This is one of the side wings that appears to be a private balcony. There are only about 6-8 seats in this section and they were all free moving so we could scoot them forward to peer over the balcony edge on to the stage. The seats on the floor looked to be standard theater seating, but since the venue is newish, the seats appeared ample and plush. I don't foresee driving to this location again. It is important to note that this is a Christian university and they apparently hand pick acts and censor those who perform here. Parking was free and in a nicely paved lot adjacent to the venue. Police were on hand before and after the event to make sure people could cross the road safely.

She is very knowledgeable of the school and job description of her role. Mrs. Henderson was able to answer my questions for the ladies that I was working with that were homeless and where they could get started. She has helped one of my daughters who struggled with the course by offering a refresher curiculum. This started off as a 14 day CNA course for her, but she needed more time to complete due to having a newborn. The school is set up like a healthcare center with medical equipment that students need in order to be familiar with how to aid their patients. The testing material coincides with the state material. Prometric is the name of the study material. This is a course that takes dedication. I have tried to spread the word about this school so much that I became excited and enrolled. They have day and evening classes that require Zoom. Students just have to be dedicated, as to anything in order to make it. I too will be a Certified Nurse just in a matter of two weeks! Thank you EAST TEXAS NURSING ACADEMY! (they have other courses, Med Aide, etc! LVN classes are coming soon, YES!)
