Although I didn't find the color I needed, I knew I wanted to come back. When I finally came back to shop, I had such a wonderful experience! I was greeted warmly, had a fitting room started for me, and was tempted to buy half the store! I came back another day for some pieces I didn't purchase the previous time, but they were gone :( There's a sort of thrill and disappointment at seeing the limited availability. Creates a sort of shopping rush to the experience! However, I did notice not all the staff are as warm as I experienced on my first shopping experience there. The last time I went, one staff member, short hair and bright blue contacts, wouldn't even make eye contact with me, and hardly spoke a word.

Prior to Church, I had mentioned that I needed to pick up a new belt because the one I am currently wearing is beginning to fray. Never say this to a woman who has Kohl's Cash Coupons plus other Coupons because then they are in a feeding frenzy just like Sharks smelling blood. Original thought was to hit the Kohl's in Huntersville on the way back but she found out there was one close to the restaurant in Gastonia so I had little option. She had already been badgering me for my underwear size so she could get a new set so Kohl's was inevitable anyway. It's a well stocked store which is good but at the same time, they have cut back on the sales associates till it almost self serve. Heaven help you if you don't know where thing are located. Found the belts first and found a nice one with excellent quality and a good price. Bought it and may end up buying another in a slightly smaller size if I can hopefully loose a couple of pounds. Underwear was a bit more challenging because my size was not part of the primary display but on an end cap but found what was the right size. With the coupons and Kohl's Cash, it was a good saving overall. I personally thought the replacing the underwear to be low priority but apparently not to my wife. Not the next day but the day after, I went to dress and all of my old underwear had been discarded regardless of wear and had been replaced with the new. It's probably the nicest shop in the entire mall. Prices are in line with the Belk brand. Not cheap but not overly expensive either. I gave one star based on the customer service that I received. I went to buy a watch and some…read morejewelry which were inside a locked cabinet. There was only one sales lady at 8 pm of that day. I first had to wait in line to tell her to open the cabinet. Then till she took care of customers return and check-out, before she could come to get those items for me. Then she walked back to the check-out counter & told me to line up after at least 6-7 customers. I asked I was waited prior to get the merchandise and I had to wait again. She said yes. I think that's not good customer service to make someone waited for twice in line. Sound like a punishment to someone who needed her extra service. Sorry for my feeling about that. Just put herself into a customer's position.

We visited Ross today to pick up items for our new move and actually had a pleasant experience…read morefinding what we were looking for, unfortunately we ran into a situation...my baby boy got sick (just a little) on the floor I quickly made it to the front to get paper towels and disinfectant to clean it up as well as let the staff know what was happening. The front pointed me to the fitting room area where I found a younger girl who COMPLETELY ignored me while she was in her phone leaning in the back behind the cart... so I just began looking for the paper towel and found some hand sanitizer and started walking towards where my son got sick.... Realized I didn't have anything to put it in after like a bag or anything so I went back and tried to ask her and literally had to say "excuse me ma'am excuse me" 6 times before she ROLLED HER EYES at me and looked up with the most rudest attitude and said "what?" I then tried to ask her if she had any cleaning supplies and she said "we dont have none of that" so I once again let her know what was happening we shrugged her shoulders and was already back on her phone...I just smiled at how insane this was cleaned it up and left the paper towels on the floor so other customers would know that there was a spill there.. When I left I also let the manager and front staff know what had happened and they seemed to be more concerned so maybe it was properly dealt with as I left but I'm keeping this two stars until my next visit, I hope for the best.

The associate did not greet me when I entered and I did have to get her attention in order to have a question answered. Once I got her attention she was very helpful and sweet. She explained that the item I wanted to purchase was the one they had on display on the wall. For that reason I didn't purchase it that day but will look to find an alternate option. The store was very clean and like most Kirklands, it seemed a little cluttered. But it's very organized and nice looking. I would definitely come back here again.
