Craftland is a mix of card shop, gift store and souvenir store. The staff is pleasant and very helpful if you need their help. The stuff is all colorful and well laid out, so when I walk in the store, it feels bright and cheerful. This last time I got some t-shirts for my nieces...they have lots of colors, patterns, logos, designs and sizes. You can fell the quality of the fabric when you grab them, not the thin cheap ones that you get like in the streets of New York...LOL..

My oldest sister had asked the store owner if she had made the jewelry herself. The woman firmly and with very rude intention responded "what?, what are you talking about NO." Afterwards we attempted to keep light conversation about the countries the items were from. The owner and her daughter are extremely rude and disconnected. They never once looked up at us or bothered to stop texting to answer our questions. On top of it they're very uneducated on their products and extremely over priced for items you can get for bulk on Amazon. I would of purchased some jewelry from this store if the woman would actually care about selling their products. Unfortunately I will never come back here.

The shop owner seemed friendly and greeted us as we walked in. We browsed for a little while but didn't quite find anything that completely caught our eye. The merchandise they sell isn't quite my style but it is a pretty cute shop and I would recommend it to anyone who is interested in hand crafted jewelry and other gifts. I looked it up and it appears that the people who run the shop have an online gift shop with an even more extensive amount of merchandise. I was blown away when I stopped in at the selection of not only Trollbeads (more on that) but interesting items. There was a huge assortment of antiques, new crafts, cards, books, vintage furnishings - you name it, I think they may have carried it! But, back to the beads - Karen came over and she was just incredible. She clearly knows her Trollbeads and a total newbie like me learned so much from her probably less than an hour, it was amazing. Not to mention the huge selection. And, the really affordable prices on many beads that you just won't find anymore. I found Karen to be so helpful and charming and honest. It was a really nice customer experience and I highly recommend visiting Twice Told Tales for anyone in the area. Plus, the downtown is really nice with an assortment of quirky stores and restaurants (and plenty of parking). It really is a hidden gem!

The store features pottery by the owner, Dwo Wen Chen that is absolutely stunning. The pieces are perfect with autumn, decorated with red and orange leaves. This place is great when you are looking for unique, special gifts. I had a difficult time finding something small for my boss that was in my price budget. Expect to pay $20-$350 for a piece of pottery. For example, I paid $18 for a small tea bag holder about 3-4" in diameter. Definitely worth a walk-through, but keep in mind that prices are pretty steep.
