When the painters arrived they asked us for 1500 more than we were quoted because they thought it would take longer than the four days originally planned by the company's representative. We said No and then they asked for 1000 more. We said we have other quotes and if they were not going to stick to the original price we would go with someone else. Someone gave us this price originally based on their visit to our house before. We asked for a refund on our deposit. They gave us a hard time trying to take most of the deposit and gave us receipts for items purchased that were dated after the fact. We offered them 200 and they ignored this. We disputed it with our bank and were fully refunded. When they saw we were not suckers, they gave up the fight. they say this has never happened to them before yet they have been in a business only a few years.
