I called multiple companies and once I got the details from Painting & Vino, it was no brainer to go with them. Their price is very fair, everyone I talked to was very friendly, and they even work with you if you would like personalized, custom artwork. My original assigned artist was Nicole, who was SUPER awesome to talk logistics with and just knew what questions to ask. She thought of everything. For the event itself, Nicole was unavailable but set up artist, JJ, to be our event instructor. She was awesome too! JJ and Hans were so thorough, very friendly, and very helpful when setting up. They were great with our group and engaging. We'll definitely be reaching out to Painting & Vino again come another painting event!

I got a deal on Groupon so it was a great value. Their regular price is a little much for me at $45 so prob wouldn't have done it without the Groupon. James was very entertaining and fun personality. I also really liked the painting that we did with all the different colors. As for the venue, it was at a bar so they had an interesting drink selection including options for CBD should you partake. The only thing I really did not like about this event was the layout. Since we were about 10 minutes late we didn't get to really choose our seats and the only ones left were towards the back near the door but we were facing away from the instructor. Also even when we turned around we were blocked by 3 other place settings right in the middle so we couldn't see what he was doing. Other paint events I've been to, the instructor is usually situated at the front of the class and we all face them so that we can see the painting and also the blank canvas they would work on so we know what to do. Even the folks at the bar had to turn around to see since they faced the bar but at least their views were unobstructed unlike us. Would definitely do this event again but I really did not like the layout at this venue.

So after some looking I came upon Edith, and honestly just loved her vibe right away. So it was super easy for me to choose her from others that we're offering the service. I found her prices to be reasonable and affordable. I send her a reference painting of what I would like and she executed it so well! It was just so fun! My family and friends enjoyed the experience so much. Not only is Edith super good at painting, she is so charismatic and friendly andddd patient lol. She was extremely helpful and did the whole set up of the paints&canvases and even cleaned after. The whole experience was 10/10 and I would definitely have Edith for another paint night. Love the pet stained glass class!!! It was a 3 hour workshop for $165 plus tips. When we arrived,…read morethe design was already created and each piece of glass was already cut and grinded smooth. We watched the demonstrations and proceeded to taping and soldering the glass pieces. Everything we needed was provided including safety supplies such as glasses, heat gloves, and masks. The instructor was very knowledgeable and gave detailed demonstrations. She was balancing doing something in another room. I wished she went around to check on each person, but we could hail her over when we had questions. We learned during the event that the metal used for soldering is made of 40% lead. I definitely hung the finished piece away from pets and children. And we wash our hands every time it's touched. Sign up on their website. They can't be contacted via phone. When I needed to reschedule the class, I did not receive responses to my email or website query. So we went in person to make the schedule change. The event was a ton of fun! The design of our pets captured their essence very well. Great activity to do together with a group of people if you can afford it and like crafting independently in an intro class.

As time passes it feels more and more of Chinatown is slowly starting to die out. The once bustling…read morestreets filled with vendors selling all types of knick-knacks and groceries have gone from every street to now just a few blocks. Restaurants which used to be filled with families every weekend now slowly find themselves closing earlier and earlier. The strong community that once was is slowly starting to age out and be pushed out. Luckily, there are new businesses finding roots in this part of Los Angeles and Element Art Center is a great example of how arts and crafts can bring life back to a community. After making a reservation for one of their classes and being let into the building you can look around and see how much of this space is made for building, crafting, and designing. With classes spanning from ceramics to stained glass it is a safe space to let your creativity run wild or be instructed. The instructors are young and teach in a way that welcomes questions without judgment. They encourage your creativity but also provide gentle direction along the way. With supplies provided if you are a novice learning a craft it is an artistic adventure without the cliff falls of expenses weighing you down. If you take their classes that last a few weeks or a month it also gives you access to come and go to create at your own pace. Element Art Center is a wonderful time whether you're doing a solo trip or being social with others. This is the kind of business that bring traffic to a neighborhood and help sustain it. Hopefully, more spaces for art will pop down the line in Chinatown but for now, it's fantastic we have Element Art Center to hold it down.

The atmosphere is welcoming, creative, and fun without feeling intimidating at all. The instructor explains everything step by step, so even if it's your first time painting like me, you'll walk out feeling proud of what you created. It's not just about painting it's about the experience. You get to unplug, laugh, and actually enjoy the moment. I highly recommend Demi Lauren Studio for a date night. It's something different from the usual dinner-and-movie routine, and it gives you time to connect while doing something creative together. Whether it's a first date or time with your partner, this spot makes it memorable. Definitely coming back again.

The paint and sip itself was fun- the studio was cute. The instructions were also easy to follow,…read moreso we had a great time as a group it was for our friend's bday. Unfortunately, the service was disappointing. All my friends paid $60, but I was charged $71 when I arrived with no clear explanation and I didn't find out til later. Our class was advertised as 6:30-8:30, but we didn't start until around 7:10 because they were still cleaning and setting up. Yet by 8:20, we were already being rushed to wrap up, even though the late start was not our fault. The instructor had an attitude, wore airpods the entire time, and was stingy with paint whenever we needed more. She also expressed disappointment that we didn't book a private party, which apparently would've cost about double. There were no other customers besides our group of 12, so that comment was unnecessary and unprofessional. We still brought in 12 paying customers when otherwise there would've been no class. Between that, the different pricing, and being rushed despite starting late, no apologies, the whole thing honestly started to feel like a money grab. We still had fun because we were together, and I liked the concept, studio, and actual painting. I just wish the customer service matched. Overall, not worth the 30-minute drive when there are more affordable paint and sip options in West LA with friendlier and more professional service.
