I saw on their website that they had a promotion for 50% off on Tuesdays. Tried calling to confirm the price and to make sure I could walk in without booking first but got the voicemail so decided to take a chance and take the drive. The center is located inside of the Westvale Plaza. When I approached, there was a note on the door that they'd be back in 10 minutes, however the staff pulled up about a minute later so all good. Even if waiting was necessary, it wouldn't have been the biggest deal. They seem pretty slow on the weekdays and they operate more on a book-ahead model, so totally understandable. Good to know that it's probably a better bet to book online first! The staff was polite and helpful. I asked about the 50% but she said that was only if you booked ahead. I was willing to pay full price anyway. (Spoiler alert- when I got home and looked at my bank statement they charged me half price anyway, score! What a sweet surprise.) Setup was super efficient. I filled out a waiver and then headed into a getting ready area to watch a quick safety video and gear up. The system was really smooth and streamlined. While I was waiting for the staff to get my room ready, I started talking to another team member, who actually turned out to be one of the owners. She was super friendly and you can tell that she really cares about her business. She shared with me that she decided to start a rage room after facing a difficult time in her life and finding the practice therapeutic. She also mentioned that Smash already existed in Rochester and she decided to team up with them and open a Syracuse location instead of competing, which is pretty cool. Now, onto the actual experience. I went solo and got a starter box, which came with a bunch of dishes and bottles, a phone, and a printer. The room had a file cabinet for my personal items and a bluetooth speaker to play music. I blasted some Linkin Park, which worked perfectly for smashing music. Pro tip- come with an angry playlist ready so that you don't have to listen to YouTube ads. The smashing itself was heavenly. The starter box comes with 20 minutes. I thought that might be too much time since I was alone, but it was actually perfect. The plates and bottles broke instantly, but the electronics took a beating. I did feel a little strange and guilty causing so much wanton destruction, but it was also super satisfying to break a bunch of stuff without worrying about the consequences. There was a variety of weapons to use, including various size bats, crowbars, pipes, and a sledgehammer. Did I try all of them? Yes, I tried all of them. Did I have a favorite? Maybe. Super fun to test out how different materials broke with different weapons. I felt like a hooligan and loved every minute of it. This place would be fun to come with other people, but it was also a hoot to come alone. Such a unique way to blow off steam and decompress from work stress after a super tense day. Be aware though, this is a WORKOUT. I was sweating and panting by the end, and wish I'd brought some water with me. I was also glad for the disposable gloves under my work gloves because my hands were dripping by the end. Felt a little shaky driving home, so maybe not a bad idea to go with a DD- destruction driver! :D Honestly, this was so much fun and put me in a good mood for the rest of the evening. What a great way to take out my tension. Highly recommend giving them a try. This was for sure a "gotta try it once" experience, but I would for sure come back. Nice staff, good value for the money. Also, seriously, when else are you going to be able to womp on a printer with a crowbar without getting alarmed looks? C'mon, live a little.

We tried the Sherlock's Library experience for a department bonding event and it was kind of…read morelackluster. They really made the cheapest experience possible, and it shows. When you walk into the room, you see a bookshelf decal on the wall and a bunch of chests within the room. The only sort of cool prop they had was one of those globes that opens up. But every single task was to unlock a lock. So you could just search the entire room for hidden keys and chests without actually having to follow any clues (one or two were keys, others were combo locks). You still have to figure out the combos, but just finding codes is kinda lame. The prompt itself wasn't good to start, so I felt like our team didn't have a goal, we just started searching. The storyline was not really there. We solved everything including the master chest. And although humans have a natural sense of satisfaction in finishing something, it wasn't actually that fun. Glad I didn't have to spend my own money on this. I'd be happy to try another escape room, but not at this establishment.

The have an ample amount of paint options and brushes, which was great. We were a larger party, but we all had enough room at a large table. We also appriciated the worker playing some Taylor Swift music for us! My mom ordered one of their hot drinks, and she really enjoyed it. It is nice that they have a small cafe inside with multiple drink and snack options, espically as you can be there for a while working on your art. I do have to say they are more expensive than other locally owned pottery places, but we were happy with finished pottery pieces.

We were told around 1 to 2 weeks until they are finished and they would send out a email or text to let me know that they are done, but I never received either. I received a voice mail November 7th 2025 8 MONTHS after we gave them money and our time telling me that they have found our painted pottery and that they will be discarding them. I do not recommend created by us they have no care for their costumers and failed to keep track of my pottery.

This place is kind of hard to find, and kinda creepy in the dark. Especially since I turned in too soon, so I went down the alley behind the buildings. If you turn at the sign for Building 3 and go to the right, you should easily find it. It faces University. I wasn't sure if parking was an issue, but at 8pm, there was plenty! There were 8 of us, which I think was a good number. If there were 10, I think some people wouldn't have had enough to do. 6 or 8 is probably perfect. I felt like this room was easier to start. In the other room I did, none of us knew what to do first. Without giving anything away, you could see what you needed to do, which was helpful. This room was a lot bigger than the other one I did, and was sort of split down the middle. Because of this, the other side of the room solved a lot of stuff that I didn't even hear about. In the smaller room, I felt like I missed out less because we were all closer together. You have the employee in the room with you here, and at the other one, they are watching you and can give clues from somewhere outside the room. They are still watching you, but it feels less awkward since you can't see them. Our guide was fun though, so him being in the room wasn't a bad thing either. If you're going for the first time. I suggest you go with at least 1 or 2 people that have done an escape room before. Once you've done one, you have a better understanding of what you need to do. You really don't need to be smart to do one of these rooms. Actually, if you try to be smart about something, you're probably overthinking it. It's more like seeing something that is right in front of your face in a different way, if that makes any sense. I don't want to give anything away, but you get 3 hints, and I think we used all 3. But the last clue we used it on, I don't know how anyone in the world would have come up with that on their own. That happened in the other escape room I did, too. Sometimes there is a link that I just don't understand, and I don't see how any reasonable person would get to it, but you get a hint, so you really don't need to worry about it. :) There were things I liked about both escape room locations. This one was $5 more, so there's that. But they also had a cooler location and more props for your final photo though, which I liked. We escaped, and had like 4 minutes to spare. From their website, it seemed liked very few people escape. so I was afraid we wouldn't get out and not even be close. I was glad we at least got to a point where we knew we were on the final clue, and I really liked the ending of this game. I hope that didn't give anything away, and I hope it made some sense, too. I have to try to speak in code to not spoil the game! :) There are decently clean restrooms here, too, and a place inside the room to put your purse and stuff. I couldn't find that on their website ahead of time, or in other reviews. If it was winter, I'd just wear a hoodie and put your keys and your phone in your pocket if you don't want to leave your purse unattended. You can't use your phone, but it can stay in your pocket. I liked it here and I'd definitely go back. I'd just look over the available rooms and see what one seems the most interesting. Go try it out. You'll probably have fun!

My family and I had a great experience escaping the Presidential Bunker at this facility over the…read moreweekend. Our guice Sierra did an excellent job and we managed to escape the room in 50 minutes or so. There were 7 of us, which, as other reviewers have mentioned, is probably the correct number. Please note they do not do refunds here but can hold tickets for you to use in the future - as was the case for us since we had two folks unable to attend. They have a fun game room for after your escape and have the classic "take a photo" setup that you'll find at other escape rooms around town. I find $35 to be pretty high for the experience overall but it is a nice way to change things up. I would recommend a stop by if you're looking for a great Escape experience!
