I'll totally admit, I didn't do any in depth research into this place and just walked in. There were a lot of weird and creepy comments made throughout the whole process, but mainly the tattoo was just awful. He was extremely heavy handed and it hurt super bad. It was supposed to be an apple with shading and white stars, but it's literally just a blob with no shape and kind of looks like a bruise. The girl I went to fix my tattoo said she was actually fixing another tattoo from the same guy that did mine. Her tattoo was literally INFECTED. Don't think anyone will be butchered here anymore, as the business is closed now.

Everything was reasonably priced and the tattoo artist and owner Angela Zapata was very supportive throughout the entire process. The wait time was not long even though there were quite a few people in line ahead of us (this is a popular place!) From the minute we stepped inside the shop, we felt welcomed and at home. It was very LGBTQ+ friendly too which we appreciated as queers (and me as a Mexican queer myself!) We are not from Arizona, but this shop really feels like a pillar in the community. He created a custom piece my brain never could have imagined. His communication with me was on point, and I could immediately tell he is reliable, truly cares about his craft, and wants to give his clients the best piece possible. He was open to hearing my feedback on the design and placement, but he didn't even need my confirmations- all of his suggestions were spot on. Throughout our session, he explained exactly what he was doing, but I didn't even need it. I trusted him 100%. In addition to that, he's such a unique dude and was both easy and interesting to talk to as he worked. During both the design and outlining process I could quickly see Bass' attention to detail and level of perfectionism. He took the time to place and replace the stencil, piecing each section together to create the perfect whole image. This takes time, but it is 100% worth it. After our session was complete, Bass was more concerned with properly bandaging and sharing aftercare info with me than taking photos for his social media.
