Of course, I was unaware of designated donation hours, but that didn't matter. Evidently, $1000 worth of books for the next regular book sale, wasn't worth it. I guess our library is doing a lot better than I thought. The Keiki Museum, on the other hand, was happy to get the books, helped me unload them, and said, "Thank You."

It is abuse to talk to anyone in the manner in which she has and is completely unacceptable and inappropriate. Especially in the presence of children... I was astonished to hear that so many people have similar experiences and that is absolutely unacceptable. They have few computers, the limit is one hour. There is printing available with or without library card. If you are just visiting, you can get one for 3 months for $10dlls. Or pay $25 and is good for 5yrs. If you are a resident then is free, just bring a piece of mail with your local address. Printing is $.15 cents all black and white, no color printing. There are books, cds and movies available. The hours are a little funky so check their website before you go. Overall is a good alternative to Hilo library and around the area.
