Locally owned business and staff is very friendly. Today came for lunch, I had the Beef Chop Suey and my guest had theMongolian Beef. The lunch special comes with egg drop soup and egg roll. Both meals were delicious. My tip, check out lunchtime menu read more

Came in on 9-20-26 to order take out. Ordered hot pot for 2. Didn't get as much as you uae to for almost $40.00. Plus it didn't taste as good as it use to. Also ordered singapore noodles. Asked for it to be mild. Came home & the noodles were very spicy. Could not even eat them. total bill was $55.44. What a waste of money. Don't think I'll be going there anymore. read more

I love this place! Started ordering here this summer & haven't stopped (& won't). Food has always been delicious no matter what I have ordered. Man taking orders is so nice & service is always the best. Good portions for the price too~ read more

I have family who lives in the area. It's been a while since I've been to The Pagoda House but if memory serves me, the food and service have always been good. This visit was no exception. I ordered the combination Egg Foo Young (my old standby) which was great! I really love the gravy it comes in. We also had chicken lo mein, sesame, chicken, and a sweet and sour chicken. I tried them all, they were all as good as I remember. The restaurant itself is what you would expect from a Chinese restaurant. Quaint and cozy. read more

Pagoda has the best Chinese food around here! Love they're wonton soup! It's a nice place to and eat.

very good Chinese food. Amazing service with great ambience. would recommend to anyone in the Lockport area read more

I'll never go back. Food was lousy. Meat was tough, fried rice was tasteless, I could keep going, but I'm just saying I'll never go back. It used to be so good years ago. read more

This gross food was all over the place. My moo shoo chicken was absolutely loaded with oil, sauce, and sugar, so I could barely eat it. My wife's pan fried chow mein came with black, burnt pan-fried noodles. (Bottom of pic). Her vegetable platter had a big mass of gook that looks like a piece of rope or something! I'm holding this, and on the bottom of my hand, you can also see a gelatinous mass of goo. We couldn't figure out what all this stuff was.... see attached picture. My mom's broccoli and chicken dish randomly came with mushrooms, which she did not order and hates. Idk what person in their right mind put this crap into containers and served it. DO NOT GO HERE! read more

This is always a comfortable choice. Egg rolls and food are always good and my kids tried their smoothies this time and loved them too.

I thought this place was solid! I ordered the veggie Lo Mein and my husband had the Shimp Egg Foo Young. The food was tasty, served quick and the owner was friendly. Egg rolls tasted homemade and the fried rice was not really greasy. My only complaint would be that the food was so hot and put right into the styrofoam container that it warped it which kind of grosses me out. But, I didn't really notice that until I had gobbled the whole dish down :) I did not dine in but the place looked like somewhere that I would like to go have dinner. Next time! read more

Pressed duck has always been my favorite thing to order at Chinese restaurants but it is very hard to find anymore. Pagoda has two versions and both are excellent. Eggs rolls are the best and service is awesome. Love this place read more

Their food is very good. However, I wish they would go back to serving crunchy chow mien noodles instead of pan fried noodles with their chow mein. read more

I LOVE the chicken noodle soup! My favorite I would definitely recommend if your a person who eats the chicken noodle soup. The rice is also great read more

Service was great. We were seated right away. My husband loves Coke and even though they serve RC products they had some Coke available for us. The food was hot and served quickly. You could tell its made to order and hadn't been sitting around. We have been to a lot of the Chinese type restaurants in the area and this will become my go-to read more

Posting here bc they paid to remove from google.. WORMS ! Sad to write this bc I was a fan of the food before, but I will NEVER eat here again. 2 bites into the lo-mein and we find a maggot. We called the owner/chef and he laughed first but when we sent him the pictures he agreed and said it was a green onion worm. As unapologetic as he as could be he said sorry and then I had to argue with him for a refund, AFTER FINDING A WORM IN MY FOOD. $30 of food trashed bc of bugs and he refunded me $12 ha. GOOD LUCK ORDERING FROM HERE ! read more

Was looking for a new Chinese takeout place. Ordered egg rolls, Crab Rangoon, and Chicken Egg foo young. I ordered on yelp. Meal was really good crisp texture on the fried items, and a egg for young that did not give me heartburn. Would order from here again. read more

We have ordered from here multiple times. The first couple of times were really good. Then the third time we found a metal shard in our fried rice. We didn't go back for a very long then decided to try ordering here again just the other week. The beef in the beef and pea pods was extremely undercooked and there was a hair in the fried rice. Will definitely not be going back again. read more

This is my second best Chinese restaurant in Lockport. Great wall was closed as they were on vacation and I had a horrible experience in Homer Glen so I thought I would give pagoda a try. I ordered the old standby beef and broccoli it came with a rather large portion of the beef was cooked well and had good flavor the broccoli and other vegetables are also cooked well and had a good season to them the gravy was spot on. We also enjoyed egg rolls which are undoubtably homemade as they varied in size by a small degree they were cooked well and tasted good as well. Pagoda has upped their game a bit and their food shows quality and well prepared. The inside of the restaurant is very nice they must've just remodeled as things look very clean and nice overall it was a great experience. If you haven't been here for a while stop by and give it a chance it's pretty good and although I like the food better at great wall, Bogota has a very nice dining room and is a better choice if you're sitting in to eat. read more

Recently remodeled, the dining room is very nice, seating is not cramped. There is a semi private seating with two large tables for larger groups. Service was friendly, but slightly on the slow side, still acceptable for most persons The food was very good, served hot, I was, pleased with my order. I also liked that there were no televisions in the dining room yo distract from the meal or pleasant conversation. Dining room was on the quiet side, making for a relaxing dining experience read more

I am very picky as a fellow cook and this place never fails to delight. Fabulous service and delicious food. They are even very accommodating with my allergies. We order the dinner for two and always have to take some home. Today was the Mongolian beef, chicken lo mein and pork fried rice with egg rolls, wonton and egg drop soup and rangoons. Yummmm read more

Better than the "old" Same family, different brother and his wife. They gave the place a nice fresh facelift and changed up the menu. Lots of new items that I can hardly wait to try. Still have the old standby dishes, added some specials, some Korean dishes and some noodle As far as the egg rolls......well the fresh oil may have made them better than before. And if you don't see it on the menu, you can ask them if they can make it. Yes I have tried this with a special they had when they reopened. read more

This Place at one time was a nice place to go to ...That was then this is now . The experience that I had with the tall owner Mr. Chinese Man was pathetic. First of all I've been ordering Sizzling rice Soup with Chicken and Shrimp and the the works for a long time . Simply put this place should close its doors for the way they treat people. Desperate old man that talks to his former customer the way he does over ten dollars . Bad Business That s why your upset over ten dollars . Your breeding lost and failure instead of gain and happy customers. Sorry Old Man ..... read more

Love the egg rolls!!!!! Entrees still too saucy for me like most places. They are so sweet too!

This is my favorite place to eat in Lockport. I've had a almost all of their chicken dishes and their ramen dishes. I highly recommend this place read more

Good choices of Chinese food. So glad this establishment remodeled a few years ago. Such a pleasure to dine here. Chop suey, shrimp fried rice, beef with tomato and peppers. Have not had a bad menu item. Portions are generous. Recommend dine in and carry out. read more

Sitting here with my wife, first time here since the updates. Nicely surprised! The inside is fresh and relaxing. We started with the great service, and it got better from there. There have been changes in the menu, but the old favorites are still here with some new and exciting additions, like Ramen. We had the Egg Drop soup to start, which is still the best around. The egg rolls are lighter and fresher, they melt in your mouth and are not greasy. My wife ordered the Shrimp in Lobster sauce. Full of shrimp, black beans, and the pork in it was tender and not fatty. The sauce is perfect. I had the Mongolian beef, it's light and not to spicy and the beef just melts. This is the youngest son and his wife now, the atmosphere is modern and fresh, so worth coming back too. We will be back to try the new twists to the menu!....... please do not listen to the nay sayers. This place is worth it, worth the drive, worth the happy tummy! read more

Not the best Chinese food in the area . We gave them a chance. The orange chicken was over done and not edible . The beef is dry and unevenly spiced. Egg rolls are dry . And very expensive !! Will not be going back read more

Well food is average ordered the beef pan fried noodles a small hot and sour soup and a large white rice, total $18.37 I was kinda shocked but paid it, added things up and for the large white rice they charged me $5.00 and to top things off they gave me a medium white rice. If you eat here check your bill! read more

I called to say that they forgot to put my rice in the bag. He said, Oh, I'll need to yell at my guy. Do you want to come back for it? I said I guess so. I then looked at my pot stickers and called back and said that they looked different than how they usually come. He had me describe. They were deep fried. They typically come pan fried. I said can you please just fix that, so when I come back for my rice you have the pot stickers correctly made? He says Yes, but did not say sorry. I get there. The OWNER comes out. Before he hands me my rice and my new pan fried pot stickers says, "Well, did you bring back the other pot stickers? (No?!!) He continued, "I would have liked to throw them out here". Not even comprehending that I had to drive back 10 min (and then 10 min back home) while my entire dinner is sitting on my kitchen table cold. Like he wasn't appreciating that I had $7 of his food in my own garbage?! It was such a rude confrontation. I really just could not believe it. I do admit that after that, I lost it on him, in a rather Karen manner. (I've never complained on yelp before) I couldn't hold it in. Never, never, never again! read more

Not the Pagoda house we loved from before. The awesome eggrolls are now subpar. The rest of the food was mediocre, small portions and expensive. Service was slow and the staff seemed forgetful and confused. Stay away from the Chicken and Cashews Was disappointed when they closed and now after my recent visit was disappointed they reopened. Going back to the Orient Cafe in Homer. The Original owner of Pagoda is still there. read more

I keep trying to like this place and keep failing. Egg rolls have always been excellent, tonight they were greasy and undercooked. I'm a pesca/vegetarian. Repeatedly I've ordered the mixed vegetables and they're overcooked and nasty. Tonight I tried shrimp and snow peas, hoping for decently crunchy vegetables. I drained off the copious amount of nasty clear thick-grease sauce. After that, there were about 6 shrimp mixed with peas. I should have gone to Berkots. Never again. read more

Ordered here and the house fried rice was bland and greasy but the most disappointing thing was my crab ragoons were gross they taste fishy the worst I have ever had. Wont be coming back. read more

My fiancé and I just got takeout from here and it's probably the worst Chinese we've ever had. We ordered the General Tao's chicken, Sesame chicken, and crab rangoon. The breading on both orders of chicken were soggy and had hardly any flavor. The rice that came with was overcooked and mushy. And not only was the crab rangoon tough to bite through, there was next to no filling whatsoever. Also all of their food is fairly overpriced compared to other Chinese restaurants in the area that we've had. We will not be returning anytime soon. We tried Great Wall not to long ago, same exact order, and it was outstanding, cheaper, and most importantly, they give out bigger portions... My advice is steer clear of this place. There are much better alternatives in the area. read more

Lived in Lockport my whole life & have always ordered from here.got the worst food ever from there this time.nothing tasted the same.in fact it didn't taste like anything.don't know if they changed cooks or recipes or both but they need to change it back if they want to stay in business read more

Ordered $28 in food .. Nothing was even close to being even Half-way edible .. Chicken tasted very "off" possibly bad .. Fried rice was mushy and tasteless .. Eggrolls were maybe the only item that was 1/2 way edible .. But still not good in the least. Called to let them know that I was unhappy .. Talked to the owner .. Said they hadn't received any other complaints tonight .. Never offered to replace the food or refund my money .., WILL NEVER ORDER FROM HERE AGAIN.. cooking a frozen pizza now as it will be far better than the subpar dinner I wasted $28 on tonight ... VERY DISAPPOINTED !!!!!!!!! read more

I have been eating at this place for over 20 years, it use to be by far the best Chinese food around. The restaurant changed owners a while back and the food changed but wasn't terrible. My family got take out tonight and it was awful. A ton of money just thrown away because it was so bad. I will never eat here again and I am sorry to say that since this was such a great memory from my past. read more

Ordered several dishes to share with extended family today. Sweet and sour shrimp was terrible! The shrimp was so small and there was so much breading. The shrimp was worse than a rubber band. Called to complain and was told "mention it next time and we'll see what we can do'" Guess what Pagoda House, there will NOT be a next time. Terrible customer service. Never again. No where near as good as it used to be. I would find another choice. read more

So I do not know why this place has been attracting all the negative comments. Pagoda is essentially the same as the old Pagoda house but with an updated menu. All the old recipes are the same and if not better. I have been a semi-regular at Pagoda House since 2006 and I consider myself a would be a connoisseur of Chinese food, both the American style and authentic. There are two dishes that Pagoda does extremely well. These are their Eggrolls and Szechuan sauce dishes (chicken, Beef, Shrimp, etc). Their Szechuan sauce is semi-sweet and is unlike any other I have had before. When the place closed temporarily following the change of ownership, I was trying to figure out how to make the sauce myself as I was worried that I would never have it again. Thank god this wasn't the case! Their Eggrolls are also phenomenal and are probably my favorite in the Chicago area. read more

Best Chinese food around. My wife and I usually get either the Beef or Shrimp fried rice, along with Sweet and Sour chicken and Eggrolls.
