Starting Arts came to the school I was teaching a couple years ago and I was very impressed with…read morethe production and the positive experience the students had. My daughter just finished their summer camp and also had a really wonderful experience. She was happy each day I picked her up and was able to sing and dance during a very well done production. The costumes were amazing and the kids did a great job. My daughter has not stopped singing the songs. She just loved it. Two suggestions: Make sure all kiddos get a mic and have even a minimal speaking role (1 sentence, even 1 word-even shared with another!). They enroll for the opportunity to have the full experience and it is costly. I think they should all experience all that being a performer entails. I absolutely would recommend Starting Arts and have my daughter participate again!

I talked to the ladies that were in charge a couple of times and just got really unpleasant attitude, like the kids and their concerns are a huge bother to them. As parents, we'd always been impressed with her creativity, but now the world was giving us feedback reinforcing that it wasn't just silly parental pride. What to do? Somehow we came upon the great answer of taking weekly Father-Daughter art classes at Hidden Talent. We've been doing it for 2 years and my daughter and I just love it! The teachers at Hidden Talent are all very caring, talented, friendly, and genuinely interested in teaching the students. We've explored a variety of mediums, techniques, and materials in our projects. We spent last fall working on the human form - something really great for a 5th grader to begin to learn. Too bad we can't post pictures in this Yelp post! If your child is showing that creative spark and you want to foster it, nurture it, and help them really grown that talent, this is a fantastic opportunity. If you sign up for the parent-child class you'll gain triple benefits: each of you will stretch your artistic legs and you'll get that special weekly bonding time you and your child will remember the rest of your lives.

My 5 year old wanted to have an art themed birthday party. I searched around and Hidden Talent got…read moregreat reviews. The staff was very nice and friendly. The studio is clean and easy to get to from our house. I had a couple of issues with the party. First, this was a group of 5 year olds and the teacher chose an art project that was super challenging. My son loved it but I think it could have been a little better chosen for the age group. Secondly, I think that there should be some sort of paper trail after I booked the party. Everything is done verbally. I wanted to pay for the upgraded package or at least thought I told the manager this but when it came time for the party we did not get the upgraded package. It was a bit confusing. Overall, it was a good experience. I would recommend this kind of birthday party to others.

The instructor was very fun and really willing to help out and inspire. 5 stars. The second workshop i took, just this Sunday, was not great at all. It was a mosaic class and it might as well have been self led. The instructor gave us a brief 3-5 min tutorial on how to place the tiles and then did nothing else except sorted tiles the whole time. She never came around to see how we were doing or if we needed help. We had to keep asking her to come over if we had a question and she didn't really offer too much. She never told us what color we could use, and kept coming over and collecting the extra tiles as we were working. She didn't help us finish up and left before we were done. It was super disappointing.

The main instructor was super patient and thorough as he walked us through every step. Both the instructor and the assistant kept a close eye on the room and stepped in to help rescue our pieces whenever our clay was looking a bit off-track. By the end of the session, we had successfully made a bowl and a cup. I would definitely recommend this studio to anyone looking to try pottery for the first time.

While it was fun, the works we saw were not much different from my girls could do on their own. The girls are really improving, and are taking their skills and use them at school too to get accolades from teachers and friends. I went with a friend, and even though I was running a few minutes behind, the setup was flexible enough that she was able to save a spot for me right next to her. Our instructor was fantastic, kind, funny, professional, and incredibly patient with everyone in the room. She made the process look effortless but was right there to help us whenever we needed it. We were given a few different options for what to create, and I chose to make a set of coasters. My only minor critique is the time management for the workshop. I wish we had a dedicated few minutes just to brainstorm and sketch out our designs before the actual crafting clock started ticking. Because brainstorming ate into our studio time, it cut it a little close at the end and I felt a bit rushed to finish--though my coasters still ended up turning out pretty great! Once you finish your piece, they kiln-fire and glaze it for you, and it's ready for pickup in about a week. Overall, it's a wonderful creative outlet and a perfect activity to do with friends. I'd definitely recommend it!

First off, hats off for how easy they made the sign-up process, getting just the minimum information needed. Also liked that there wasn't special treatment for being new, the kids were plugged into the class as if they've been there all along. This helped more accurately assess if they wanted to keep coming back. The kids have been attending for a few months now, between the regular weekly classes + camps. The teachers are very patient and supportive. The kids walk out from their classes with high confidence and proud of their work, and they look forward to the next class, which speaks volumes. The staff is also very accommodating with their make-up policy trying their best to make it work for families. Improvement area: comms. While they send out comms every once in a while, it's usually general and not specific to each kid. There is usually very little time at the end of the class to get feedback from the teachers. I wish there was a bit more of a monthly/quarterly progress report.
