I truly have to highlight Pepe, Franco, and Grace for taking the time to speak to us and get to know us. The food was FANTASTIC. We ordered the seafood paella, jamon iberico, garlic shrimp, and sangria. The paella was filled with a ton of flavor which was DELICIOUS. Everything was fantastic, but the Sangria was spectacular, (probably one of the best sangrias I've ever had). At the end of our meal, Pepe brought us two liquor de Limon shots, which made our whole night!! Definitely recommend this place in the La Latina neighborhood. You won't regret it!

It has that classic bustling tapas bar energy where everyone is close enough to feel like part of one big conversation. The food was the highlight. The clams were flavorful and fresh, the octopus was cooked beautifully and the paella was delicious. It is a great place to stop in for a drink and a quick bite, especially if you want something authentic and lively. When we visited, it was packed to the point where you were shoulder to shoulder with other guests and close enough to easily hear the party next to you. It adds to the charm if you enjoy that classic crowded European dining atmosphere, but it is something to keep in mind if you prefer more space.

I am so impressed by Spain and their dedication to people with celiacs disease. Our waiter was very friendly and worked with us as we tried to ask questions in Spanglish. He recommended a few items to try so we did. The entire menu is gluten free so no worry of cross-contamination. They even have gluten free cervesa! As tourists we wanted to get a few dishes to share so we can try the most at each meal. Well the croquettas were a huge hit! They are a chewy delight and I highly recommend them. We also got patatas which were really good, I have no idea what was in the red sauce besides maybe some familiar spices, but that didn't matter.. it was muy bien! Lastly we got gnocchi, the white sauce was really good, especially to dip your bread in. Overall such a nice place for a few tapas and if you're in Spain with a gluten allergy this is a great place to check out!

After doing some research, I found this place offered traditional Spanish tapas with a modern flair. I stopped in late, around 11pm but the place was lively. I loved the modern decor and would recommend this spot to tourists and locals alike! For dinner, I started with the "Alubia negra de Gernika con chorizo y piparras" which was a red soup with black beans and sausage. It was very tasty with the bread that was served warm with my meal. Afterwards, I got the "Albóndigas de Buy Carbonara con Guanciale, pecorino rallado y yema de huevo" - which were some of the best Albondigas I have ever tasted. Seriously GET THEM, even if it is just to share. They were so good I wanted to go back the next night and get them again. This would be a great date night spot or place to celebrate a birthday. The staff was extremely professional and help (they suggested I order a 1/4 portion of the soup because of the size, which was very helpful). LaKsa was pricey but I think the cost matched the experience. If I have the chance, I will definitely come back.

If you're here for breakfast, I highly recommend the banana-espresso bread. I'm very much blessed to have this place to close to my apartment!!! It's amazing.

Lastly was the salad made of fresh arugula, beets, tomatoes, peppers - a great end to the "meal" and ironically was the warmest thing we got. Other tapas served lukewarm.
