House made Pastrami was delicious-go with the 1 lb (buy the pound) Pastrami sandwich -at least 2 if not 3 sandwiches in one. Corned Beef was also tasty and some of the best we've had. Latkas and Dill potato salad hit the spot but the Garlic Dill fries stole the show-one of a kind and not to be missed. For dessert, we saw they had Hamantaschen and got one of each-both very good with rich fruit spread topping. Service was engaged and patient (given our questions and recommendation requests) as our order was being placed. An extensive menu with everything from Beef tongue sandwich (Jewbano) to Chicken Liver as well Hot Dogs and Smoked Salmon and Whitefish. We wanted it all! Liked the atmosphere and decor with booth and bar stool seating. A must stop when visiting Richmond!

My daughter's friend, who is Jewish, had recommended it. We were told there was a 25 minute wait, and we were told we could hang out at the store next door. Just as we were done wandering, our table was called. I had the corned beef sandwich, toasted, and a side of potato salad. My wife had the chopped chicken liver appetizer and the potato latke appetizer. The food was very good and the service was friendly and efficient. I would definitely go again. They close at 3 pm and are NOT open for dinner.

Doesn't really look good. Ordered the Reuben and onion rings to share. Reuben's are typically very large. This was a small Reuben and for sure could have eaten the entire thing. Onion rings were a bit soggy and table didn't like their fries either. The Reuben, though small, was very good. Service was quick and waitress was nice. The place is quite expensive for wha you get. We got 3 sandwiches, 2 with fries and 1 with onion rings, 2 waters and a sprite. It was $52. I think that is a bit high especially looking at size of sandwich but the were delicious.

The food is always spot-on. I have had several opportunities to go in on weekdays as well. The general vibe is slower, though the food comes out fast. Always several clusters of retirees and several pairs of business folks talking in hushed tones. On these days, even if you haven't been in in months they make you feel like a regular. This is Yelp, so I need to recommend a few things to order. Their chef salad is HUGE. The club sandwich is a great offering. And the one you'll skip over but shouldn't is the Adkins Special, which is 3 eggs and 2 meats (or 2x one meat) -- no bread, no fruit, no potatoes. Sometimes you just need to go all proteins! Anyway, all of these are great options. Also, their "numbered" deli sandwiches are all good choices. We remain regulars. Although I have only checked in about 40 times we are there at least twice a month. If you see me come say hi!

The staff were the embodiment of kindness and hospitality. They treated us so well. We got lunch while there, at their deli in the back, and wow it was delicious. I got the kofta combo and we split the konafa for a dessert and I cannot recommend both of those dishes enough. It was fresh, flavorful, and generous portions. And I got an iced pistachio latte, which was fantastic. My boyfriend got a chicken shawarma wrap & fries and he loved it. They have a seating section in the back that is cozy and humble, and another seating section in the front that looks like a tea room to me. As we were waiting for our food to come out a sign at the deli caught my eye, it said: if you're hungry and you can't pay for the food it's free. My eyes welled up with emotion seeing such a kind gesture at this business, it shows you they have good hearts (as well as good taste). The market itself was tantalizing, so many marvelous things to pick from, and foods that you can't easily find around here. Much of the products made in Palestine, Lebanon, Turkey, and America. Lots of good coffees, teas, spices, olive oil, sweets, frozen dinner foods, on and on! You MUST go check this place out asap!! Jerusalem market has been on my list for a while, and we liked it so much there that we plan to keep going back. They made us feel like family. Alqud (the name on their menu) is how you say Jerusalem in Arabic

This is a middle eastern food market. They sell subs, salads, wings, wraps, kabobs, hummus and more. My favorite days to go are Mondays and Tuesdays when they do their $8.99 special which is a sub or wrap with fries. I always get the philli cheese and it is awesome, but today my friend and I wanted to try the chicken shawarma and gyro wrap. Both were delicious, but I did ask for some tzatziki sauce to dip the chicken shawarma wrap. I ended this visit with some baklava and I loved it. The staff is friendly and nice and it's a nifty little place to enjoy a good lunch or dinner. I am definitely going to continue coming here.
