Their new renovations sets the bar for the entirety of the Bay Area and beyond for the gold standard of all high-end watch and jewelry stores (and I'm talking beyond that enclosed claustrophobic Santana Row boring 'ol big brands next to each other and a giant open space with sales people who look too busy to give you the time of day). This is coming from someone who was a brand ambassador and mystery shopper for some of the watch world's biggest brands (AP, PP, etc.) and I have visited incredible locations all over the globe, quite literally, Bahamas and all too surprisingly, and have seen and experienced all levels of service and experience -- none comes close or sets the bar quite like Davidson & Licht. First off, you're always offered something to drink or munch on, they remember you and always ask about how you're doing, everyone who walks in is treated like a long-time friend. Don't be a stranger here! Ruslana is THE person to ask for and work with -- she knows her watches, her jewelry and if you have a partner, she will make sure you're not ever in trouble (or helps you get out of it) when you're out of watch pillows in your watch box but still want that next piece. What a great, wonderful, family-owned and cherished business. You can go to your big-brands and box-chains all you like, but you'll be missing out on the experience of a lifetime coming here.

I had used this store before and they were wonderful but recently I took 5 gold rings in to be…read moresized up. I explained to the owner of the store, I wanted a piece of yellow 14kt gold to be put in the bottom of each ring to size it up. He wanted to"shave" the ring down to fit. I had said "No shaving off my gold on any of the rings except the one ring that had an Opal since only that one couldn't be heated up". He agreed and took my rings. When I got them back he not only charged me the full price of $300 (he had quoted me the cost to put small piece of 14kt gold in each ring) but he had also shaved down each (ALL) rings. And he took a lot of gold off each one of them. I'm sure he kept it since gold has gone up so much. I've been thinking about it over and over again at what he did. I'm very angry! I should have never taken all those beautiful rings to him. They feel like cheap junk now. Hollow out remnants of what was once high quality rings. I trusted him because I had been going there for years. No more! I'll never go back again. Buyer beware. Don't go there unless you are willing to let him destroy your bountiful jewelry. And if he'll do that to me, he'll do it to you, too!
