We needed help loading and unloading heavy furniture at our new house. I explained all of this and was assured it was no problem. Services were a three hour minimum. The movers would have blankets and furniture straps. I would get a call two days before to confirm. All great. I was on board. I was busy and didn't follow up when I didn't get the confirmation call. Moving day arrived and at the scheduled time the movers weren't there. I called and was told they were on the way. An hour late the movers arrive. No blankets. No furniture straps. They are confused because there's no moving truck. Calls are made. Pikes Peak insists I told them I would have a moving truck. They tell me, the morning we're supposed to do work, that I need to get a moving truck. The three hour minimum turned into a three hour maximum. I can hear the owner or manager telling them what to say in the background while I'm in the phone. I don't know why he couldn't just talk to me and everything had to be relayed through other people. The communication all around was just bad. The office folks lacked professionalism. I keep thinking what could I have done better to manage it all. They may be great and I had a bad experience. I would just urge others with moves that have special requirements to be sure that this company understands them and that everyone is clearly aligned.

They bring their own wrapping stuff and blankets to protect furniture during transportation.
