First, I felt the quote was not completely fair. I had started assembling my new bed and got stuck halfway through on a step. So I had already put the bed together halfway, possibly more than halfway. I called FAE to step in at this point so I could focus on other parts of our move. We had just bought our first house and just finished installing brand new hardwood floors throughout. Immediately the assembler scratched a huge deep scratch into our bedroom floor by moving the bed by himself. This was easily preventable by sending two assemblers for a project that definitely warranted two, given the bed size. This scratch is in a high traffic area and it's super noticeable even one year later. I didn't complain to the company at the time because I was so overwhelmed with the whole moving process as a first time home buyer. Another thing I noticed was that the time estimates were off for assembly appointments. The rep said assembly would take 2 hours based on this bed type and experience. It took the guy at least 5-6 hours and he worked nonstop. These estimates need to be more accurate because as another reviewer pointed out - some women do not like to have unknown men in their homes for long periods of time. The 2 hours were fine and during the day, but it eventually got dark and I started feeling less comfortable with a stranger in my home. Not to mention it is a matter of respecting a client's time. All in all, the company is in business to assemble furniture correctly, efficiently and, I'm assuming to not damage other areas of your house while they're at it. Because I can only check 1 out of the 3 items, I wouldn't use them again. I'd look for another company with systems in place to avoid damage to floors.
