We communicated through email and they responded timely consistently to answer all our questions. Moving day they called ahead to let us know they were on the way. We had Mike and Patrick and they were very professional, friendly, and efficient. They moved our 3 bedroom home and everything smoothly. They did a great job and finished in 4 hours. We hired this moving company to move us from Las Cruces to Arizona. They came on time but that was the only good thing about them. When they left our house we took a picture of the loaded truck showing several of our items that we found to be missing when they arrived to unload. At first glance it was simple garden hoses but then when we started unloading the truck we found many items not only missing but broken. When we started unpacking we noticed several of our picture boxes had been opened and the pictures were taken. We do not recommend this company. This was our worst experience having moved nationwide previously with no missing items. Do not hire this company. read more

I've used Furgeson 3x. First two were excellent. This last one was abominable. I hired three movers. Right away the driver of the truck was upset bc the large space for him to park was not to his comfort and took 30 min to loop around and park anyway. He quit working bc he had allergies and sat in the truck for hours. They sent a very young and able man which worked hard and they sent an older man who was DRUNK. He smelled of liquor and was dropping boxes. When I mentioned it to the young guy, the man was no longer moving things out, he stayed inside the truck and the youngest was doing all the work. I called the manager. He was aware of the situation and was sending a replacement. The manager came down and apologized saying they would take care of me and the discrepancy. They didn't. They knocked off $200 but still charged me for two movers even though I only had one doing all the work. The substitute was very unprofessional and told my sister she looked like my mom. If I could give zero stars to JOHN FERGUSON MOVING & STORAGE, I would! We hired JOHN FERGUSON MOVING & STORAGE to move several pieces of furniture to our new home. Everything started out great! They arrived on time, and were polite and helpful, but then things went terribly wrong, hours later, when we arrived to our new home, and they started to unpack. I discovered three pieces of furniture that were damaged. The first was our leather sectional. I immediately brought it to the attention of Mike, the team leader, and Danny, who was in charge of the sectional. Both started to claim that the damage looked "old" and must have already been there. I told them that I know my furniture and I had also looked at it specifically the night before. They continued to argue with me, and I asked them to stop arguing with me, and to please finish with the move. They also scratched my entertainment center WHILE I was standing there in front of the them! I told them that they were scratching it, and they did not stop! When they were leaving, Mike rushed me to sign a claim form describing the damage to my furniture. He told me that they could have the damage repaired. I believed him, and signed the claim form. I was still extremely satisfied with the overall outcome of the entire move, and told them so. I know how difficult it can be to move furniture. However, and sadly, a few hours later, I discovered that the new refrigerator which is housed in our garage was dented! The front door had four visible dents on it! I called JOHN FERGUSON MOVING & STORAGE the next morning to add another claim for the damaged refrigerator. I also emailed them. I could not get ahold of anyone for quite a few days, and after repeated calls and messages, Kristin Ferguson called me, and sent Martin Sanchez to my house to "fix" my damaged items. Martin Sanchez wasted 45 minutes of my time by talking nonstop! Martin told me that no matter what they do, I will always know the damage is there, and it "will never be the same again" What???? He also changed the subject and told me that he could plant trees for $75 each! He even gave me his business card! How can he conduct business for one business, and try to drum up business for himself? Hmmm!! The next day, I tried making contact with JOHN FERGUSON MOVING, and Kristin Ferguson was no better than the two movers who argued with me about my damaged furniture! He said that I never told the movers that the refrigerator was damaged, and had already signed the claim form. I told him that this must not be a rare occurrence when a CUSTOMER finds another piece of damaged furniture due to the move, a few hours later! He was adamant that I already filed the claim, and added that I told the movers that another moving company had moved my new refrigerator! I NEVER, ever told the movers this information because it NEVER happened! That was a lie! JOHN FERGUSON MOVING & STORAGE were the only movers that moved my refrigerator! I explained to Kristin Ferguson that, as a female senior citizen, trying to keep track of four men moving my furniture was daunting, and the garage was the last place I was going to look at while they were there. Kristin Ferguson was masterful at interrupting me and twisting my words! It was disheartening and I was very disappointed with the entire situation. I knew in my heart that he was not going to help me whatsoever, so I gave up trying. I was treated rudely, disrespected, and accused of being dishonest! Hello All! I have waited to make this post because I wanted to ensure ample time for the company to make it right. In April I scheduled our move from El Paso to California with John Ferguson Moving and Storage. They came out gave a quote that was the most reasonable quote I could find. Another family had used them to load and said they had done an awesome job and so I went with it. They also offered a cleaning ($500) and a month of free storage (I had already planned to pay for storage so this was helpful). We were moving into a new house and wouldn't know exactly when it would be done. When they came to pack up our items at the end of May, we were all set. I labeled places that didn't need to be packed with tape and made clear everything else needed to go. The packers were ATROCIOUS! I have never had anyone pack so unorganized. They went around from room to room seemingly just throwning things in boxes (my mom was there not me, I had to work). My husband was already gone and I was left with my 4 kids to get this done. When I came home they had arrived at 11 left at 4 and less than half of my home was in boxes (it was supposed to be a two day pack). They came back the next day (it seemed the crew had trouble knowing who was in charge) they were to finish packing and load the truck. When I came home I found 4 boxes upstairs, my back yard with stuff all spread around, it was such a mess. They were supposed to come clean the next day. I called and said then they came to clean they needed to bring a truck to pick up the rest of the stuff. They asked if they could change the day for the cleaning because they had been at our home "so late" the night before. I was accommodating. I came to the home the next day the person that came to take the rest of my items had to be told MULTIPLE times what to take (which was EVERYTHING) Then I waited to have the home clean. They did a mediocre job at best, not worth $500. They were there from about 12-3. I just let it go, at this point I was just happy to have the house packed. In the Middle of May our construction company said they could have our home ready by the end of June. I called the company and requested our items be delivered June 29th. The week before the Ferguson's called me asking if they could move UP my delivery. I said no idt so because my closing date was the end of June, but that I'd ask. I responded to them that I needed to keep the original date. The day before 6/28 they called telling me they had a problem with my stuff fitting and if they could move my delivery to the following Monday, I said "no I need my stuff on our date" (at this point I'm wondering how they barely figured out they had a problem) they said something about having the driver of choice. They said okay work with us we can deliver a majority of the items and just keep our the bikes and a grill cause it doesn't fit and then bring those on Monday 7/1. I said fine. (BIG MISTAKE) I should have let them hold it and get the money they would have owed for every day delayed because we are now almost to 8/1 missing our other items with no future date of delivery. It's kind of weird too because we got all my husband's tools EXCEPT his Milwaukee drill, I have my rugg padding, no rug, my picture frames and work out mirror but not my art work. Biggest mistake i made was canceling my Ferguson appointment to go with a cheaper rate. The cheaper rate company = absolute disaster w/ pretty much no one showing up because "something came up" Called Ferguson back to reschedule because we lost a full day of moving, and Ferguson agreed to move us the next day, SUNDAY! Wow! This crew (Frederick, Oscar, Carlos, Ryan) came in with so much energy! They were fast, friendly and super careful with all our glass decorations & artwork. all my furniture was moved out with blankets. My daughter's swing was immediately taken care of. So I was in need of a moving company and did what I always do: typed in what I waned on Yelp. Several companies popped up and I start scrolling through. I find a few I'll consider, and then I see one that a friend of mine reviewed only a month ago, and have it rave reviews. So I made contact and they kicked me all the info. Needless to say (which is weird because I actually do feel the need to say, as I always need to say everything every of the times), I was beyond satisfied with this company. I originally made contact with the owner, John, and he talked to me for over an hour making sure o had everything covered. Let me tell you how good this dude is: Just from talking on the phone and describing what I needed moved, he was able to quote me! Not only that, he quoted me UNDER $300, and on D-Day, the final came out to $269. That some serious expertise and accuracy. These guys clearly know what they're doing. I gave the guys a 5 originally but felt I need to knock it down a notch after getting here. I still believe this company by far SURPASSES other moving companies available in El Paso. Having said this, I found all boxes marked FRAGILE upside down and artwork boxes on their sides. Because these items were moved to temporary storage, I can not say if anything was damaged at this time. I have used these guys twice in the past 30 days- once to move some basics to a temporary apartment and the last time to move the remainder of my household goods into storage. This was a daunting job since I had three fully furnished bedrooms and 3.5 well equipped baths (towels/linens and bath decor). They work like crazy and are very efficient. Me and my wife used this service when moving onto Ft Bliss and they were awesome. We had a 26' truck, and I was expecting it to take around 4 hours to unload everything and put it in the house. Our 3 movers did it in 2.5 hours. Not only was this a much better bang for buck, it really helped since I could only spend so much time away from my job. They also unloaded my motorcycle from the back with no problem. I "hell on wheels-ed" that thing up there and no way was I comfortable riding it down, but they got me taken care of. The only reason I knocked off a star was because they were supposed to call when they were on their way, but didn't. Other than that, phenomenal service. read more

We just used this company to move from Las Cruces to the DFW area. We couldn't be more satisfied. We had received two in home estimates from large nationwide moving companies. Those national companies were subcontracting to local companies that did not get great reviews. I called JF and gave them a list of all of our belongings. They quoted me just over half the price the larger companies quoted me. I was nervous. We had a lot of very fragile items. We had JF pack all of our belongings. They did an excellent job. We had a total of two items (knick knacks) arrive with slight damage. It was nothing major. We were very nervous hiring a company that we just came across online but these guys were legit and the real deal. We had Adrian and his crew. Adrian was very friendly and polite. It's taken me a long time to write this review. Women BEWARE. I was sexually assaulted by one of their movers. My husband and I had hired them in June to move us from our 2 bed apartment to our new house. My husband was there initially but then had to leave for work. One of the movers was following me around and into closets and laundry room and cornering me. He was also not helping the other guy move so I actually had to help the 2nd guy move. This made a simple move take almost 6 hours. (For reference, we had a relocation company move us into the apt we were moving out of and they were done within 3.5 hours). At the end of the day, the guy that had been stalking me all day reached over and grabbed my butt. I was happy the company was concerned about the incident and ended up comping the move but I would definitely warn women to not have them move you if you are alone!! read more

After being given the run around by UHaul I had to hire some mover with less than 24 hours notice. I came on Yelp and found JFM and decided to give them a try. Raul and Sanchez showed up on time. They quoted me two hours but I was sure it would take over four. Was I wrong they had everything unloaded and in the correct rooms in 2.25 hours. They exceeded all my expectations and actually got me a great deal on unexpected storage. They drove my uhaul truck to their facility, unloaded it and returned to uhaul FREE OF CHARGE!!! I needed some furniture moved to another room while new flooring was installed, then moved back when the flooring job finished. I requested a quote, which came several days later. I accepted but had no communication as to what time they would arrive. After numerous emails and phone messages, someone finally contacted me with a time frame. The men did arrive on time to move the furniture. I had to reschedule for their return, but never received a response. I emailed and called, but nobody answers the phone or responds. Now I have to hire someone at the last minute to move the furniture back. The men are quick and friendly, when and if they ever arrive. They were supposed to come equipped with tools to disassemble our bed set, seeing how it is that my tools were PACKED... they kinda forgot to do that, but no need to stress... I just went through 6 or 7 packed boxes and I was able to find my tools and take apart my bed myself because I had NOTHING else to do. I had a great experience with John Ferguson Moving. Setting up my appointment was very easy and everyone I spoke to by phone was very patient and explained the process well. I hired a 2-man & truck crew for my 900 sq. ft apartment's worth of stuff for an in-town move. The two movers, Jose and Adrian, were professional, polite, and did not take any excessive breaks. It was a very hot day and they were cheerful and helpful the entire time. The move took a little longer than I expected (3.25 hours), probably due to how I packed, but all my belongings arrived undamaged and put mostly in the right rooms. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for similar services.
