Three things were done incorrectly. 1. No preparation was made to the skin prior to the surgery. No scrub or alcohol, etcetera. 2. Due to the lack of preparation, the steri strips did not adhere to my skin. 3. The technician failed to use a large enough clear cover over the steri strips, so when the steri strips detached, so did the covering. See attached image.
