The Man Cave section is a great change to most antique shops, really loved being able to find the old license plates and street signs. FANTASTIC!

Perhaps my tastes have matured over the last 4 years since I last visited Johnny Appleseed Shops,…read morebut I genuinely enjoyed my visit recently... in fact, I made a purchase. The shops are still a little country flea meets antique fair meets boutique but somehow it all works together. This most recent trip, I saw vintage Vera Bradley bags, sparkly jewels, Pokémon Stickers, stunning blue glassware, punny plant picks, handmade clay ornaments, vases made of milk glass, locally made honey and mustards, ceramic bowls, and a bunch of furniture. They are still operating a cafe at the back of all the shops. The grilled cheese on the menu sounded sooo good. Totally worthy of a visit if you're in the area, go for the shopping, stay for lunch.

This place absolutely exudes happiness, with all the playful, bright displays and colorful touches. I rode up to find the Amish Market and knew I had to stop at this thrift/ gift store. How could I possibly drive past a GIANT yellow inflatable duck named Henry! I'm pretty sure this is the same Henry I've seen on Facebook where you can get your picture taken with him. Obviously, a photo op with Henry is practically mandatory! I was enthusiastically greeted by an employee who introduced himself and explained the layout of the store, which was so helpful. That kind of cheerful, welcoming service really keeps the happy vibe going! This is such an eclectic store, with different sections featuring thrift and overstock items at discounted prices, artsy items handcrafted by the owner, and unique gift items. Even better, proceeds from all sales benefit the Connected School Programs. This place truly turns a frown upside down just by walking through the door! One cannot help but smile when you enter the door. I managed to walk out with some adorable handcrafted Halloween beaded bracelets. And considering we are currently in the middle of a major purge , I deserve an award for the restraint I showed ( maybe there should be a yelpie for that LOL) Had we not been trying to get rid of stuff, I could have easily walked out with a whole lot more....the prices were great, and there were so many fun and unique things to discover. If you're anywhere nearby, go find Henry and let the Purple Flamingo put a little happy in your day! Definitely a place that makes you smile before you even make it to the checkout!

Shop is located in the back of building with no signage out front but don't let that discourage you, took me a few minutes to find but well worth it. Items on shelves are well organized though you really have to know pricing as some items are a good deal while others are not. I did purchase a few shelf items but focused on an adventure through the bins and buying a bag of items for $10. The day I went they had four large pallet like boxes/ bins that had party items, sandals, cups, and one assorted bin. My bag haul I focused on party goods as I throw a number of parties over the summer. I walked out with a bag full for $10. My only regret was I did not go earlier as it took me awhile to go through bin. Store closes at 4pm but women running the store was kind and let me know at 4:15 they were closing. I had more fun finding all my treasures in the bin. I would recommend checking them out on facebook for deals and store hours. This truly was a fun retail adventure. I had so much fun going through my haul when I got home. Looking forward to my next visit which will also include a visit to Stella's chicken in the same shopping plaza.

She has specific hours that she is there, and you can make an appointment. Great energy in the spot. There's a nice selection of jewelry, books, clothing, crystals and stones, beauty products, and oracle and tarot cards. The examples of tattoos showed great artistry. I did talk about pricing and availability. Currently Jae has their books open. They also have body piercing available to book. Don't miss out on visiting the shop if you're down in Bagg's Square!
