If you need more assistance, they'd be happy to help- but otherwise, you have free reign! If you want to change up the colors on the picture, that's definitely allowed and they'll give you a different paint palette so you can achieve that! She was very patient and knowledgable while trying to teach all of us how to paint our masterpieces. She and her staff were attentive to our needs and made it a fun experience for all. She even managed to console a 5 year old that was a little upset that her painting wasn't quite coming out like hers and gave her a clean canvas to paint a cat on which is one of her favorite animals and it was all good. You get an apron and shoe coverings, and a paint caddy with up to four colored paints. After a quick tutorial in splattering technique, you get to toss paint at your canvas for fifteen minutes. This was so fun and therapeutic, and I loved seeing the painting take shape. At the end of the evening, I got to take my creation home in a pizza box, which was super convenient to prevent messes. This was such a fun experience and I would definitely recommend checking out their classes (I may do the same, when I have the time.) My painting looks excellent hanging above my desk and gives me little intermittent bursts of joy whenever I look up at it during the course of my work day. There are two wheels and she guided my friend and I amidst great conversation. The space is small and cozy but enough to be distanced while working (we all wore masks). She chooses the glaze on her own and I loved my items when I picked them up. Kelly is a very sweet person and I thoroughly enjoyed the session + her company :)

They have my preferred needles- the super speedy stainless steel ChiaoGoo circulars, in just about every imaginable size and cable length. They carry lots of quality yarn, host trunk shows for artisans, and have local made products for sale- such as the bright pink skull stitch marker I picked up when I was last there. The shop itself is beautiful- bright with natural light, spacious, modern, and comfortable. The work they have on display makes me want to become a better knitter. I hope to take one of their numerous classes in the future. Knitty Gritty is very responsive on social media and their website is as great as their physical space is. There is a private parking lot which is sizable.
