My husband and I met Paddy just once, found our home that same day, put in an offer the next, and moved into our "forever" home within a month. Needless to say, Paddy is incredibly efficient and truly knows how to seal the deal. Here are the highlights of our experience working with him: 1. Excellent Communication: From my very first inquiry, Paddy was prompt and responsive. We started with a phone call to review our needs, and he quickly followed up with listings that fit our criteria. By the time we met in person, he already had a clear, deep understanding of exactly what we wanted in a home. 2. Area & Structural Knowledge: Paddy isn't a "how does this home make you feel?" kind of realtor. He understands how houses are built and knows the pros and cons of specific neighborhoods. Even if a property doesn't check every single box, he helps you visualize how to modify the space to make it perfect for your future. 3. Honesty: When my husband showed interest in one particular house, Paddy immediately pointed out its flaws and flat-out told us he wouldn't sell it to us because it would become a headache. He never tried to rush a sale; his priority was ensuring we bought a high-quality home we would truly love. 4. Resourceful: Even though we found our home on day one, Paddy remained actively involved throughout the entire closing process. He helped coordinate repairs before our move-in date and connected us with two of his recommended service providers, both of whom have been phenomenal. 5. He Knows How to Win: At the end of the day, if Paddy is on your side, you WILL win. We were up against another buyer for our home, but Paddy guided us to secure the winning bid while staying comfortably within our budget. In fact, we bought the home under asking. I remember asking him, "Do you think we have a chance of getting the home?" His response: "Yes, because I'm your agent." He was right. He's simply the BEST! read more

I recently worked with Lilli Rath to help a family relative sell their condo in downtown Walnut Creek. Lilli did a great job overcoming obstacles on this particular sale. She was hyper focused on closing the sale and on following through to address some unusual issues with the state Franchise Tax Board. I highly recommend Lilli and would definitely work with her again. read more

We turned to Paddy Kehoe and his Team when we needed to sell our Lafayette home of 45+ years. They helped us every step of the way. Paddy and his wonderful assistant Alyson were always available with advice and answers - from setting an asking price to deciding on the many necessary updates to understanding the many unfamiliar documents. We worked with his stager/decorator and contractors to modernize our home while retaining its unique character. When it came time to respond to offers, Paddy worked his magic based on years of experience. He negotiated a sale price over-asking in a housing market that was beginning to soften. Thanks to Paddy Kehoe and his amazing team, we bought a fantastic home in a highly competitive market and sold the home we were moving out of for top dollar. Eric Larson helped us to find the perfect home in Lafayette. In a competitive and fast-paced market, Eric was always friendly, patient, very thorough and never pushy. He is knowledgeable about the Lamorinda area, matching our needs to the right neighborhoods and homes to view. After seeing a home, Eric always took the time to engage in a conversation about the property to understand our thoughts and share his own ideas and knowledge, and helped us carefully consider each home we viewed based on our needs and goals. As homes came on market, Eric always took into consideration what we did or did not want in previous homes, so our time was never wasted. He is very responsive, and made sure when he was out of town or not readily available, that we had a channel of communication set up with his team who we could go to. There was zero pressure to bid on a home or push back on any of our decisions to not make a bid. However, if he had some knowledge of a home going way over our budget, he made us aware so we could move on. Even though Eric was the primary agent on the Paddy Kehoe team that we worked with as Buyers, the extended team were all great contributors to help us secure our new home. Paddy introduced us to an amazing Mortgage Broker, a true master in communication and follow-up, who worked with us early on to make sure we could move fast when we had an offer accepted. Eric and our mortgage broker were a great team, making sure any of our offers were thorough and that our loan approval was seamless. In this market, Buyers need someone fast but thorough to find a new home and put in a successful offer, and Eric definitely meets those needs. We continued to use Paddy Kehoe and his team as Sellers. As we were occupied with moving into our new home, we easily put our confidence in Paddy and Brittany to fully manage the preparation of our home to sell. They scheduled all the inspections, counseled us about what work would be most impactful for sale, but were also very respectful of our decisions if there was something we didn't want to do. The communication across the team (Paddy, Brittany, Michelle) were always aligned, they were all very responsive when we had questions and provided timely reminders if there was action required on our part. Paddy has a great understanding of the market, where to price our home, and thus we received several outstanding offers, many above what we were asking for. Even now that we have settled into our new home, and have closed the sale on our previous home, Paddy continues to support us in our new community in Lafayette, whether it's greeting us in the neighborhood or at school events, or in sharing recommendations for home projects. We also have come to learn how involved and supportive Paddy is in the community, and this makes us even more confident in recommending Paddy and his team. Whether buying or selling, there isn't one weakness in Paddy Kehoe's team. They work very hard for their buyers and sellers, and are all a real pleasure to work with throughout the process. read more

Highly recommend Paddy Kehoe and Team at Compass! We used them to purchase our first home and more recently for our forever home. This time the sellers were a bit more challenging but Brittany took the time to manage expectations and was in constant communication between their agent and our lender. She is beyond responsive, even after we moved in to ensure that the transition went smoothly. We are so appreciative of her professionalism and attention to our asks! We also sold our house that we purchased 5 years ago with Paddy. Since then we used his thoughtful expertise to make certain improvements to the home over the years that added tremendous value. We had some unique circumstances when selling that Paddy was able to sort out timely. His staging team also did a phenomenal job and quickly too. Compass has a concierge service to front the costs for presale improvements with no interest or fees so it's hassle free. It just gets deducted from proceeds of the home afterwards. There was a very clear timeline of all the events from improvements, cleaning, photography, marketing etc. Communication was clear and would go through them again in a heartbeat. Most importantly, they are trustworthy and really in touch with their clients' needs. read more

We worked with Brittany to purchase our new home this past winter. We selected the Paddy Kehoe team and reached out. We received a very quick response and introductory phone call the next day. They reviewed our goals and created an online portal with options for us to review and comment on. Brittany spent the time to add comments that helped us think about the properties, including how to use the space and school districts. When we made comments back, she was extremely responsive and gave us great feedback. This was really helpful so as to filter our choices and not go to a zillion open houses. In the offering process, she had a very quick turnaround time and was always extremely prompt and helpful! I personally loved how quickly you got a response that was well thought out! Once we had an offer accepted, her team guided us through the whole process and was a great resource since we had a lot of questions. She was extremely helpful with getting bids and inspections done fast! I highly recommend working with Brittany! read more

I cannot say enough positive things about Brittany and the Paddy Kehoe Team. As a first time homebuyer, the process can be both scary and overwhelming especially when buying during a pandemic. That being said, Brittany and her team were there for me every step of the way and made me feel like I was in good hands. Brittany was extremely patient and knowledgeable - from answering all of my questions, to seeing multiple (and I mean MULTIPLE) properties, until finding my dream home. As someone who was very new to the homebuying process, this was extremely appreciated. I especially enjoyed when Brittany would share her own visions on a home, which would help me see all that a home could be and appreciate it for its full potential! From start to finish, Brittany was there for me and always seemed to be one step ahead. She was extremely proactive throughout the process which helped everything to move along smoothly, especially while in Escrow and closing! Thank you Brittany for helping me find my dream home and for all of your help along the way :) read more

This review is for our experience as first-time home buyers with one of the agent on his team - Brittany Hogan. In summary, we went through an extremely stressful process buying with her that also simulateneously put us in a very vulnerable position. - When making offers, Brittany made very strong pitch and educated us about how appraisal value rarely fell under offer price by drawing on her "rich experience and knowledge". She pushed us to remove all contingencies in order to be "competitive" in the market. It turned out there was a signifcant shortfall between the appraisal value and our purchase price (that was even AFTER sellers reluctantly gave a partial price reduction!) -Due to miscommunications between her and sellers's agent, we almost ended up losing our escrow deposit. At that point, we had absolutely no protections because of her well-intentioned advice to remove all contingencies and was basically on the chopping block. - Barely two months moving in, we already received notice in the mail that there will be a huge house constructed (~4000 SF) literally only A FEW FEET AWAY from us. We raised this concern to Brittany before when sellers disclosed "possible development" in the near future and she simply disregarded this as no big deal as we will not have to "share" our driveway or gate with these new neighbours. We chose to move to this area because we wanted more space and privacy. Now, with this new house to-be constructed right next-door to us, everything good that we initially looked for in this house will be gone. We genuinely felt like she was more concerned with submitting winning offers and earning commissions by shifting all risks onto her clients' shoulders, rather than focusing on her clients' well-beings and goals. read more

Whether you're moving across town or across the country, selling or buying, Paddy Kehoe is the realtor that you want to represent you. We contracted with him to sell our home in Lafayette in the midst of a pandemic yet his confidence, professionalism and knowledge made no obstacle insurmountable. His enthusiasm was the first thing that impressed us but that was only the beginning. His vision about the potential and possibilities for our home and future buyers instilled confidence that he knew the market, the process and what it would take to sell our home at the best possible price. Paddy's hard work exceeded our expectations. We left our home and moved cross country while Paddy took control and prepared it for sale. After being listed, our home sold in a week and the process went more smoothly than we ever could have imagined. His predictions about the offers we might get were right on the mark further proving his expertise in the Lamorinda market. Paddy is SO much more that a realtor. He builds relationships. It was evident from the beginning how much he enjoyed his career and how invested he was in the concerns of his clients. He got to know us as people not just as clients and we got to know him in the same way. His outlook on life and his advice helped us focus on what was important. In the end, it came down to building new friendships and even learning a few life lessons along the way. Thanks Paddy for everything!!! read more

I can't say enough good things about our experience buying our first home with the Paddy Kehoe team. Brittany Hogan was an absolute dream of an agent. She was ultra available to us for showings and answered our endless questions with patience, competence, and honesty. It sounds hokey, but Brittany really treated us like family. We ended up finding the perfect place for us in downtown Lafayette and were even able to close early as we hoped. We love our new home and the whole experience was surprisingly simple and stress free, which I credit to Brittany's dedication and commitment. I will definitely use Paddy and Brittany again when we're ready for the next move and I can't recommend them highly enough. read more

Brittany Hogan is exceptional, I cannot recommend her enough! Brittany recently helped us buy our first home in Walnut Creek. As first time buyers, my husband and I had thousands of questions and Brittany answered them all and did a great job of walking us through each set of the buying and closing process. The housing market is exceptionally challenging right now but Brittany constantly looked for houses for us and was very resourceful when it came to finding houses that might be a fit. Brittany took a lot of time to understand who we were, what we were looking for and was very patient. Brittany was always available via multiple communication channels. Sometimes I only had time for a quick text asking to set up a home tour and other times I was available via phone for a longer conversation. Brittany was very responsive no matter what. Brittany's determination and positive attitude helped us stay motivated even after losing out on multiple offers. In the end, Brittany was able to find us the perfect house and we couldn't be happier. read more

Initially just looking for advice about the market and the possibility of selling our home, we luckily stumbled upon Paddy and his team. Right from the first meeting, we were impressed by Paddy's professionalism, but more importantly his honesty throughout the selling and buying process! We highly recommend Paddy and his team to anyone looking for a real estate agent to guide them through this often complicated and overwhelming process. read more

Let's be honest... Most agents will tell you whatever you want to hear just to get you to sign the listing agreement. If you are looking for an agent to be honest and upfront about everything to do with your home, then Paddy Kehoe is your Agent. Paddy is not afraid to have those tough conversations with you about your home. he will tell you the truth every time, even if he knows you don't want to hear it. this trait is VERY hard to find in Real Estate agents these days I am a local builder and also a RE agent. i could list my homes if i wanted to, but Paddy has proven his worth time and time again. he will do what ever it takes to help you get the best price for your home, even if that means he has to get his hands dirty. read more

Working with Paddy and his team was an absolute pleasure. Buying a house is one of the most stressful things one can subject themselves to and Paddy helped keep me calm during the buying process. He was always there to take late-night calls or texts because he genuinely wants people to find the home of their dreams. That said, no home is perfect but he will help you understand the tradeoffs and long-term value of a home based on the construction, location, finishes, repair needs, and your general sentiment as he gets to really understand what you find important in a new home. He was extremely patient with me and my multiple spreadsheets and multiple home showings :) Most importantly, he's not gone when the deal is done. He'll help walk you through new home woes after closing and is always there to lend a helping hand should/when something (inevitably) breaks in your new house. I can't speak highly enough about the service provided by Paddy and his team. In a difficult market, Paddy correctly priced our home and sold it quickly. Paddy's recommendations combine his vast experience of the Lamorinda market with a Data Driven approach, resulting in realistic estimates. Paddy remains very accessible throughout the buy and sell process, as is his super capable assistant Alyson. I would highly recommend the Paddy Kehoe Team if you are thinking of buying a home or selling your home. You absolutely will not regret it. read more

Paddy was amazing to work with. This was my first home purchase and he provided phenomenal guidance throughout the entire process. He's extremely knowledgable about the area and shared great insights about the quality of the home and future renovation vision. He found us an off market home which had 3 offers the day after we saw it so we knew we had to move quickly. After a year of looking, we finally found the perfect place :) The best thing I loved about working with him was his honesty. I valued his opinion and when we'd look at a home that we'd be interested in, he'd share his feedback. There was one home we were semi-interested in and tried to figure out how we could renovate to make it work, but he said "it just didn't feel right." We ended up passing on it and I'm glad we did. It's clear that his heart is in the right place and that he truly tries to find the perfect home instead of making a commission. Thank you Paddy for everything!! read more

We've had the pleasure of working with Paddy twice now. The first was in 2011 when he helped us buy a beautiful home in Walnut Creek, the second time was in 2019 when he helped us sell that same home when we were moving. Working with Paddy as a buyer we found him very hard-working and patient. We looked at dozens of homes over months (we were picky), and Paddy never pressured us during the process. We were able to take our time and choose a home we really loved. The decision to sell the home when we were moving away from the area was a hard one, and Paddy initially urged us to consider not selling, even though that would mean him losing out on the business opportunity. Once we decided that selling was the right decision, Paddy did quite a bit of research to price the home just right, urging us not to over-price the property at risk of turning away buyers. He also organized painting the property, fixing up the yard, and staging everything. The house really showed well when he had it ready. The first weekend of open houses we received 6 offers, 2 of them at $100K over asking. He walked us through the offers and the merits of each, we chose one, and 30 days later we closed without any issues. I'd rate Paddy 6 stars if I could and would work with him again in a heartbeat. He's honest, patient, and super knowledgable. read more

Paddy and Brittany are a Dream Team! We recently moved from Los Angeles and wanted to find a house in Orinda because of the great school district for our young kids. We were not used to the ultra competitive market, but they worked with us every step of the way. As a buyer we worked closely with Brittany. She made it her priority to find houses that met our needs and answer all of my questions (and I had a lot!). She was very informed on the local market, very detailed in helping us understand disclosures, and guided us in crafting strong offers. Once in our new home, Paddy and Brittany came by to check -in and even offered to host a welcome BBQ to get to know our new neighbors. They have have been back to walk through the home with us and help us prioritize improvements we plan to make, even giving us lists of contractors to consider. They truly go above and beyond for their clients. I would highly recommend Paddy and Brittany for anyone looking to buy or sell. They are knowledgeable, professional and kind! read more

Paddy is very knowledgeable and super responsive. I love his passion for Realestate and ongoing support. He genuinely loves to help.

Paddy is a superstar! I am a licensed real estate broker, but chose to have Paddy list my home in Lafayette due to it being a non-standard property. Paddy is super-responsive, very knowledgeable about Lafayette real estate, helpful, smart, a good negotiator and a valuable resource. He told us the hard truth about pricing to expect, what repairs to make, and how long it would take to sell the house. In all areas, he was spot-on. He managed the listing and sale perfectly and there were no hiccups. I couldn't have asked for more. Highly recommended. read more

Brittany was more than we could have hoped for in an agent! She was referred to us by a friend and did not disappoint! This is currently an incredibly difficult market to buy a home in and there were multiple times that my husband and I were losing hope. Brittany stayed positive and determined through months of looking and finally found us our home! We ended up buying a home in the area we wanted for under asking AND we were able to include the contingencies that offered us a sense of security. This is unheard of in this market! I cannot thank her enough for her positive attitude, attention to detail, and mostly for finding us a home to bring our new baby home to. There are endless positive things I could say, but essentially if you're looking for an agent, Brittany is your girl! read more

Paddy and his team are top notch! We have come to know Paddy over the prior year as we bought a new house then sold our old house. Paddy was incredibly patient, thorough and knowledgeable throughout both processes. He is a great communicator and has excellent instincts. He is definitely not looking to make a quick buck! At times we were surprised at how much he advocated for us to wait on the exact right house to buy, and also on the right buyer when we sold our own home. In addition, Paddy and his team make selling and buying so easy with a host of recommendations when work is needed. If something needs to be done while selling, they go the extra mile to arrange for estimates and meet the companies at the property. You cannot go wrong with Paddy Kehoe and team! read more

Patrick "Paddy" Kehoe is a wonderful man and a true professional. Paddy is from Ireland, which you will quickly figure out when you speak with him. I think that his Irish upbringing might be what makes him such a great agent to deal with. He treats you like your families have known each other since the middle ages. Paddy is not trying to make a quick buck. He works hard to do the best for his clients. He appears to be focused on building a reputation as the consummate professional, and in the process his clients enjoy a high level of service and professionalism that is very hard to find. When I got on Yelp to write this review I was impressed but not surprised to see nothing but five star reviews. That is rare in my experience, but I am not surprised that Paddy has inspired that level of gratitude from his clients. read more

All right, listen up all you home buyers and you too, you sellers out there . . . . I'm going to give you the soundest advice you're ever going to get. Are you ready? Wait for it. . . wait for it. . . Do yourself a favor and forge an alliance with Paddy. We were referred to Paddy by really great friends of ours. We were entirely new to the area and had very limited information on neighborhoods and the area in general. Now, we were first time home buyers, but I had experience professionally in real estate. I can honestly with my experience AND my inexperience, that dealing with Paddy was THE most seamless and professional relationship we could have ever asked for. Paddy was on point, always available (even to us crazy workaholics). He offered sound advice and always an alternative. I must say, listening to what he had to say really paid off. We found our perfect home, seamless transaction and closed in less than 30 days. . with an FHA loan... incredible in this market. How is our loan relevant you ask? Well Paddy offered us an alternative referral for our financing. He works with consummate professionals just like him. Another great reason to work with Paddy. I'll say it once, I'll keep saying it: Paddy Kehoe is absolutely a class act and an example of the gold standard. Simply aaaa-mazing. read more

Back in August, 2019, my husband and I hired Paddy Kehoe to handle the sale of our home in Lafayette, California. We chose Paddy in part because of the great reviews, but it was meeting him in person that really convinced us. He's one of the nicest, and most competent people you would hope to take care of something this important. It turned out that we were right: hiring Paddy was one of the best decisions we ever made. Our situation was a bit challenging: we needed Paddy to handle everything about the house sale while we were out of the country, since we had moved to Amsterdam (Netherlands). In fact, when we met Paddy, we had returned to California for a few days to pack up our house and ship a few things back to Amsterdam. From that point on, Paddy took care of everything. We didn't want to put the house on the market until the following spring, since our (adult) daughter was staying there, and of course, we had no idea that a major pandemic would turn the world upside down in the interim. By the time our daughter had moved out, the shelter-in-place had started, and we were worried about not being able to sell. But Paddy pulled it off, and he got us a great price. Throughout, Paddy was totally accessible, promptly returning emails and phone calls. He cared about our home sale as if it were his own. We can't recommend him highly enough. He's awesome! read more

Paddy is truly as good as it gets. We just bought our first house and it was evident early on that we clearly had no idea what we were doing. Paddy was patient, kind and caring while we honed in on our desired neighborhood. I would also like to preface that we are avid HGTV watchers and would walk into every house thinking we could change everything. Paddy was nice enough to entertain our ideas and then nicely tell us that if we wanted to change that many things it wasnt the house for us. Paddy much rather his clients find the home of their dreams then allow them to make an offer on a house just to make an offer. He is real and upfront about the hurdles you will go through and, honestly, the only reason we didnt cry ourselves to sleep every night from this crazy market. Paddy really knows Lafayette real estate and the local market. He gave us sound practical feedback as we prepared our Lafayette house for sale. Some of that advice was not what we'd hoped to hear, but turned out to be spot-on. His advice as we determined a listing price was also exactly right. In addition to guiding the sale of our old house, he also represented us in the purchase of our new house. During several months of house-hunting and house-selling, Paddy was always available for one more showing and unfailingly responsive to questions.
