It is amazing how a place located right in the center of the city, 50-100 yards far from Plaça Sant Jaume, has not been caught by a chain, or become a trendy bar. I am pretty sure the place is exactly as it was 30-50 years ago. It is run by the mother and her son (they look the same) and it is what we call in Spain a Bar Manolo, the one you can find in the main square of all spanish towns. I have to admit that I admire and worship this kind of places. Ask for a mediana and try their famous tortilla de patatas. It is made by the mother and you can feel and see how perfect it is. And that is because to master something, years of experience is probably the best way to do it. Hats off for these guys!
