The absolute worst "Doctor" I've ever seen in my entire life. I left there crying. I was treated with absolutely no compassion. Just treated rudely by the front desk person as I left. As usual, I went to set up an appointment only to find out the earliest I will be able to see her is four months from now! How in today's world is that acceptable? We are not a 3rd world country, and if it takes more than a week to see your doctor, I would say that they have way too many patients in their care. I will be shopping for yet another new primary care doctor now.

Compared to LVH, this is the best care you could receive in Scranton. 5 stars in Lackawanna county,…read moreprobably 3 if compared nationally. They took care of my mom which is more than I can say about Lehigh Valley Hospital in Dickson city. They completely dismissed and discounted my mother's complaints and sent her home with a broken bone in her spine. Fortunately, the doctor's here took a fresh look and found this fracture and a couple other problems that had been ignored by her other primary care doctors. The ER Dr. White was amazing and had wonderful bedside manner. He actually seemed to care, how incredible is that?! Nothing like getting a full explanation on the current care and future plan for helping my mother get out of the hospital and continue on in her golden years. Everyone was great during our visit to the ER and we appreciate all the loving care my mother received here.

Then 4 days later my catheter clogged. I went to the er at midnight. Once again waited for hours while my bladder was about to explode. Then they took it out and wouldn't let me stay in the back. They put me back in the waiting room er and told me to use the bathroom there. So I did. I tried to anyway. When I walked in my nose was hit with the smell of death. I knew this smell . C diff. I was DISGUSTED to see streaks of shit all over the floor, toilet and wall of the only stall in the male bathroom. Clearly someone half ast cleaned in and left it. I had to stand in front of the urinal for 10 to 15 mins at a time as my urine slowly started working again. I pleaded to just go back into one of the actual er bathrooms in the back but I wasn't allowed. Finally after about 2 more hours I was brought back. Treated over the course of 6 more hours. I finally went home at about 8 am. And then 4 days later, guess what? CDIFF infection!!! It literally almost killed me. I can't imagine how many people your disgusting hospital infected. Im just getting over it now and that was almost 2 months ago. Dont ever come to this place if you want to live.

I'm sure he didn't even read my chart before seeing me, because what he thought was my issue had nothing to do with why I was there, neither did the testing he did. His people skills and bed side Manor leaves much to be desired. I felt as if he didn't even hear me, I was just an inconvenience and I was just another dollar to Bill my insurance. Anyone reading this should not go to this hospital under any circumstance. The bottom line is although I got terrible care and was released before medically ready and without a discharge plan, I have a great support system, family and friends, I still fell through the cracks. I miss Dr. Sheldon and Dr. Zenker, but Dr. Severs, Dr. Marsili, and Dr. O'Donnell are all so kind and knowledgeable. I feel like they really listen to me when I tell them what problem I am having. Some reviews complain that they have to make more than one appointment, but they don't realize how busy the office is. If you aren't able to get an appointment with one of the doctors quickly, make an appointment with one of their PAs. I don't think people realize how well educated and knowledgeable they are. I can't say enough good things about Gina and Casey. The problem, I think, with reviews is that people mostly only give them when they want to complain or they are unhappy in general. The world would be a better place if people would be patient, kind and put themselves in the shoes of others.
