Upon entering, you can smell the aroma of food and what I assume as cooked meat. I was promptly greeted by the staff and handed a menu. The menu is simple, not a lot of options, which is good because it forced you to order quickly. I ordered the birria, which is a burrito wrapped in a standard flour tortilla but then it's wrapped up in a layer of grilled cheese. It was essentially a grilled cheese burrito with the content of beef, rice, and beans inside. It also comes with a side of ramen, which is so interesting, since I've never heard or seen of ramen + Hispanic food coming together. The burrito is huge, so come hungry. Also I personally feel like the layer of grilled cheese is a lot and makes the meal heavier. I had to scrape off half of the cheese off, then I felt it was proportionally appropriate and I was able to get a good bite of rice, cheese, etc. It was extremely flavorful. I also ordered the quesadilla with brisket, or the 'penny' according the menu. They overly stuffed this quesadilla and I felt the brisket was on the drier side. I had to add sour cream from home to balance the dryness. There's also a salsa bar which is pretty cool and the sign shows the volume of heat for each salsa. I was pretty much a sissy because I thought the tomatillo was too spicy! Overall good experience with good food and friendly staff. My only critique besides the brisket being on the drier side was that majority of the staff did not wear masks. Our State hasn't issued that we can remove masks in public settings yet, and I appreciated that all the customers upon entering wore masks. read more

I've been meaning to make my way to Pacos for a while and I can't believe that I've been missing out this whole time. If you aren't looking for it or don't know it's there it's easy to miss, but well worth the u-turn. I went with the Rock Tacos, which is their version of a birria taco. They came in a set of three along with the consomé. I loved everything about this dish. The crispiness of the shell, the tenderness and flavor of roast, the creaminess of the cheese. Perfecto. I got mine with onion and cilantro, but they also have a salsa bar with a few hot sauce options, pico, and pickled veggies. Naturally, I add all that because why not, but the taco just by itself is a really tasty treat. Just those three tacos alone were plenty to fill me up, but because it was Taco Tuesday, you get one free traditional taco with your order. I got the carnitas and passed it along to my friend and she had no complaints. I also tried the frozen prickly pear margarita. I wasn't sure what to expect flavor wise as I've never had prickly pear, but it was delicious. Just boozy enough and not too sweet by my palate. The food is average compared to real Mexican tacos. The issue is the lack of meat in every taco, I had birria tacos , tacos al pastor with piña tacos , birria ramen , and rock tacos. The portion with every taco was pretty small. Not sure if this is the business model to charge $10.50 for three tacos and give .50 cents of meat in the tacos. The Burris ramen had a good portion for the price. The birria they make here is just needing more seasoning. I've been here twice in 6 months and I can say they still need some work. I had no idea what to expect and was gratified to receive three tacos in homemade like shells (not like ones you find in the grocery store). Glad my wife caught it or else I would have gotten 5 steak tacos instead of two. Let me tell you about their soft tacos. It's sooooooooo soggy. Came in not knowing what to expect from the birria ramen bowl. Left out wanting the birria ramen bowl EVERYDAY! It's really that addicting. Imagine your grandmas beef stew but better and with ramen noodles. The birria was savory and tender and just downright delicious. I was so full from the ramen I barely touched the burrito. The burrito was wrapped in a cheesy tortilla that grilled until crispy . It is packed to the max with rice, beans and meat. Delicious! I loved my meal here! I got a birria burrito that I took home and it was still delicious when I reheated it later that day. It was HUGE too! I probably could have split it with someone. We tried it 2x to have a honest review lol Some things I would say is their trompo meat could be seasoned way more all u taste is the sweet from the pineapple. As well as upgrading both corn and flour tortillas for a more authentic taste. Their "guacamole " is just smashed avocado with no salt or lime. I love their arachera meat, the penny quesadilla w meat, the Rock taco with the consomé. I like that they have all toppings individually wrapped It keeps it sanitary and fresh. The shells are store bought, the amount of onions were a serious overload I had to wash my hands three times to get the smell off. 5 tacos for $10 was not worth it, I actually became full off two to three tacos despite the small size, a lot of meat was inside the taco just no seasoning or taste.
