Fall is hands-down the most magical time to visit, leaves fall like glitter, and the lake views are serene. Bonus magic? Bret, the property manager, who also is Santa for Christmas and is one of the kindest human beings ever. Only in Kingsland! Located right next to Hooper's (yep, that house from Texas Chainsaw Massacre - now a great spot for comfort food and drinks), plus Junction Steakhouse across the way. We were with a larger group staying at house near the water - a full 2.5 minute walk from our room (I clocked it). The room was spotless and larger than I expected. Every interaction I had with the owners and staff was beyond pleasant. I travel quite a bit and I had just been at a Hilton in San Antonio and I swear that our room was cooler and more modern. I'm just surprised it wasn't packed!

The pool is an adorable heart shape and has a cover to keep it cool! The fishing pier is amazing and it has multiple different places to hold poles, they also sell bait up at the customer coop! They have cats (soooo many cats!!) and chickens! They also have fishing poles for anyone to borrow. There's multiple beautiful cabins on the property that you can rent. They always have fun celebrations for the 4th and Labor Day. The guests you'll meet are honestly so memorable and a lot of fun to meet. You'll make some good friends and maybe see them again in coming years! This place is so amazing and I wouldn't change the location of my 4th celebration anytime soon!

And the heating and cooling work very well. The windows in our cabin were able to provide ample natural light. The quilts make a lovely, homey touch. All the beds were comfortable to sleep upon. We enjoyed the clubhouse with the many rooms and kitchen, which can accommodate multiple groups of guests. Far enough from technology to focus on being with ourselves. And so happily, we could finally see stars. It's amazing how peaceful and recharging this place is. I highly recommend coming here and resting your soul.

The lodge sits in a cove where the water is calm, with a marked off swim area and fishing house, boat dock and just hours of fun. I truly can't imagine our summer with out this place. Pretty doable for a grandma! the new owners charged 10$ per person when they first advertised! that wasn't so bad but i called today and it's 25$ per person for the day!! Inks lake 3 miles away will be getting my business now or marbel falls pool!!! talk about inflation! Marbel falls 4$ a person and it cost me less than 10$ at inks lake last time i went!!
