Refreshing beverage in Honolulu, Hawaii…read more.. Located at the Kaka'ako Farmer's Market on Saturdays between 8am and noon, Boba Bros is an efficient, friendly vendor that helps customers cool down! I think it was around 90°F in the direct sunshine. I had just finished an iced tea from another vendor and was working on a smoothie from a different vendor when I saw Boba Bros. I thought that I should get a drink for the road... The only dairy-free option seemed to be Plantation Iced Tea. It contained black tea, cane sugar, and pineapple juice. It was quite refreshing and not too sweet! The service from the young boy was very sweet and cute. Maybe his father was the barista! Check them out! Note to self: get the Kalo (taro) or Matcha beverages next time!

Decided to check it out and saw this cake in a see- through soda can. So many options but I purchased one with Dubai chocolate for $16. The cake was moist and I can truly taste the pistachios. Brilliant idea! And it was yummy!!! Give them a try! It's worth it.

Canned cake... I do…read moreadmit that I love to see my food and drinks like the glorious level of matcha before I stir or that plate lunch I'm ready to demolish and here's Waikiki Cake a catering biz that makes these cute and very portable treats for any occasion as it's sealed tightly until you're ready to treat yourself. Very fun concept as the weather can play a horrible roll in bringing something sweet outdoors or just the humid hot weather makes it melt before your eyes these cuties can do need to be chilled but are very more sturdy than your usual slice. They're made in various flavors and the price is quite up there but for the look and convenience is what it's all about along with personalization which they're also able to do is nice for any occasion though this one was for me to treat myself and I found this place at the Ono Grindz and Makeke at Wai Kai. I just couldn't resist the Strawberry Matcha Shortcake as it has all the loves I have in treats but wanted to enjoy it fully chilled at home later and it was days later until I was able to o so it was just as I expected with the cake being quite dense as it needed it to be to hold up the look and build of the whole dessert but was it delicious despite it all yes but at $15 it was up there for me though will probably get it for special occasions as I check out their Instagram for locations to find them as who wouldn't want something like this to celebrate with...cheers! Thank you!

While I listed her business address, you can usually find her set up near the Kapolei Walmart entrance Sunday to Wednesday 10 am to 8 pm. You can also contact her on Instagram at @808tasteofpolynesia. Omi was incredibly kind and welcoming. She offered me so many different flavor samples and took the time to explain everything. The hardest part was choosing a favorite! I loved it so much that I ended up buying two large jars: mango and watermelon Vaifala. The flavors were fresh, refreshing, and absolutely delicious. In fact, I came back the very next day to try her strawberry tea, and it did not disappoint! If you're looking to support a local business and try something unique and tasty, I highly recommend stopping by and visiting Omi. Her hospitality and passion for what she does shines through in every interaction. Every drink is delicious!!! You gotta give each one a try..

Feeling social... As…read moreTaste of Aloha was having a Matcha Market so you know all the tearrific vendors assembled for this event and finding The Matcha Social here as well did make many gather to a point we couldn't figure out where the end of the line was lol the the vibe was nice and calming though to my surprise they ran out of matcha :( but did have Hojicha BUT did run out of some flavors and no oatmilk as well...sigh! Luckily I do love hojicha as well and with still actually quite a bit of options let (Strawberry Guava Shortcake was my first choice) it was the Banana Cream Pie so having some choices taken away isn't exactly a horrific situation as it forcefully made me pivot to something that I fell in love with. The banana flavor was so definely there but not too sweet and balance so well with the nuttiness of the hojicha it was a nice and delicate sip. Sadly at the end there wasn't a line at all since they ran out of Matcha but wished that some would try the hojicha as well it's very smooth and delicious besides you never know like me the discovery of your plan B turns out to be fabulous as well. The staff was very nice and friendly made my drink super fast and can't wait for their next pop up to support this wonderful small local biz. Thank you!

If you've tried egg nog before, I suggest you try this particular brand. I'm in the mood for Christmas all of a sudden! Yes, it's that good! Check out the picture and buy more than one to save on gas, cuz you're going to have to drive back to the store for more!

Cravings in check…read more.. After a nice lunch with fellow Yelp Elite bestie Nadine C we had a bit of room for something sweet and as I remembered an event in Pearlridge Center Wai Makai called Kawaii Friends Fair amongst the sea of crafters was this one that instantly caught my eye...Ko'olau Sweets. A simple set up but with all the yummy treats we love from okoshi, brownies, bars and of course mochi. With fun flavors like Strawberry, Pumpkin and Matcha of course the matcha was sold out :'( I decided on the sampler which had one of each and I do like the other flavors as well it was a perfect pack to try them all. Of course I did have to get a bag of okoshi as well and with several flavors of that as well really made my indecisiveness going bonkers but I do love it all as it was made without being too sweet but exactly how I'd like it to be and was thrilled. I see from her that she's here and other events as well keeping quite busy baking up all these treats makes it so easy for us all to keep our cravings at bay. Thank you!

Today at the Barn in SALT Kaka'ako was filled with various wonderful crafters all unique in their own way and loved that many have items you can make it your own. Matcha is also found here as well which is very nice as that alone makes my shopping experience extra bougie ;) as I couldn't resist both Green Times (Earl Gray Matcha) and Yonsei Matcha (Banana Cream Matcha and Hojicha) but the stickers from Mini Girl Studios is just so adorable and at 1 for $2 or 3 for $5 I got 15 of them for $25 :) Parking in SALT is free for the first hour and entrance is free so feel free to give them a peek which I'm sure you'll find something that perfect and support these wonderful local small biz. I personally purchased each flavor because I wanted to see which was my favorite and I would definitely recommend the Strawberry and Pineapple Dream! The Strawberry Dream contains strawberry purée which is definitely tasted within the drink. The Pineapple Dream contains pineapple chunks at the bottom of the jar with a hint of pineapple throughout the base of the drink. The Strawberry and Pineapple has a hint of strawberry along with pineapple chunks which are great complimentary fruits and has the perfect balance. The service is amazing, the owner of the company is super nice and guided me on how to properly prepare the "Take Home" Jar. She was very patient and was willing to answer any questions I had. The prices are reasonable and the "Take Home" jars includes a reusable jar which is a bonus. I also liked the presentation of the bow around the jars which is fitting with the logo. Will definitely purchase more jars to take home!
