One of the most beautiful venues. Clean and comfortable seats, amazing staff, and wonderful variety at the bar. Always a great time.

Egregious ticket surcharge for the "cheap seats". Is this per ticket? I don't even know.

It really pains me to write a less-than-ideal review for these folks because they're a wonderful organization with top-tier talent and caring staff. I know you're asking, if that's so great, why the lack of stars? In a nutshell - MONEY. I received a promotion for twenty dollar seats in certain sections at a variety of shows. I figured this would make a terrific holiday gift for my husband who loves music. Well, I couldn't find those prices so I opted for a somewhat low-cost seat for thirty-five dollars and dropped that into my cart. Once there, the site updated to include a ticket surcharge of *eighteen dollars*. What does that even cover? Not parking. Not concessions. Not souvenirs. So, what then? Greed, apparently. Look. We all know ticketing surcharges exist and have existed since the first caveman chisled out the first ticket on a stone tablet all those many years ago. A *fifty-two percent* surcharge is both insulting and, dare I say it, disgusting. Needless to say I dumped my cart. Sorry, P.S.; your decision to push your hand further into my pocket left me feeling rather p.o.'d. No sale.

If you've never experienced live classical music, the Pacific Symphony is a good place to start. We went to a concert at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater, which is a great place to see the symphony since you can bring in food and wine! The music was very accessible. Even if you never listen to classical, you'll probably recognize some of the selections from movies. In addition, the conductor, Carl St. Clair, spoke a little bit about each piece before they started playing. The night we went featured a photo slide show along with one of the pieces. I noticed the other day in the Los Angeles Times that they were offering tickets for 50% off. If you've never seen the Pacific Symphony Orchestra and you live in Orange County, it's something you should do at least once. It's a lovely way to spend an evening.

They play at every Irvine Meadows Independence Day celebration. Nice song selections (pop, Dixie, Swing, jazz).

The show…read moretakes place in a temporary outdoor, Elizabethan-style theater with just over 120 seats, making the experience feel wonderfully intimate. I sat in the Queen Elizabeth section and loved being so close to the action. The production was funny, lively, and incredibly engaging. After thoroughly enjoying last year's production of Much Ado About Nothing, I knew I wanted to return and so glad I did! This isn't the Shakespeare some people might expect. There was laughter, dancing, singing, plenty of clever satire, a mix of Shakespearean and modern English, and Spanish. The entire cast was fantastic! I especially enjoyed "Frank" and "Cayo", although everyone did an amazing job! Sitting so close to the actors really pulls you into the performance and allows you to feel every emotion. It was such a fun and entertaining evening, and looking forward to next year! Be sure to put it on your reminder list for next season. This year's production ends at the end of the month, and unfortunately, the remaining performances are sold out!

The performers were excellent and obviously they have a fantastic director!! From costumes, to stage design, lighting, choreographer all went well together! I have been to enough plays and performances to say this theater is definitely special and if you get a chance you should go watch a play here. There is a big parking structure so parking is not a problem and it's a short walk to the theater from there.

I am docking points for my negative experience here. First of all, I was in orchestra row B and I asked where I would need to enter (go up the ramp or enter on ground level). I was directed to go up the ramp, which had 3x the line as the ground level, only to eventually find that ground level was closer and had a much shorter line. I had a handheld camera smaller than the size of my iPhone. The security attendant didn't know whether that was permitted. He asked someone else, who also seemed unsure/hesitated/stuttered at first, then he insisted that it was prohibited. I would understand if it's truly prohibited, but my issues with this: 1. It seemed like he was just making up rules 2. Their website says no PROFESSIONAL recording devices, but personal device recording is okay in the lobby (obviously wouldn't do it during the show) 3. I had to go all the way back to my car to put it in there. I read another review that the workers/attendants are rude; for me, this includes security.

I go here regularly, bringing my theater group almost buying out the theater it's so popular. The group of us love their productions and their large lobby with a snack bar is great and very clean bathrooms. Not a bad seat in the house, and the stage is pretty large for a small community theater. It may be tricky to find, since they are located on the campus of a high school, but don't let that deter you. See you all next month for "Street Car Named Desire" and the following month, "The Whale" which is a great show!
