One of the most beautiful venues. Clean and comfortable seats, amazing staff, and wonderful variety at the bar. Always a great time.

Egregious ticket surcharge for the "cheap seats". Is this per ticket? I don't even know.

It really pains me to write a less-than-ideal review for these folks because they're a wonderful organization with top-tier talent and caring staff. I know you're asking, if that's so great, why the lack of stars? In a nutshell - MONEY. I received a promotion for twenty dollar seats in certain sections at a variety of shows. I figured this would make a terrific holiday gift for my husband who loves music. Well, I couldn't find those prices so I opted for a somewhat low-cost seat for thirty-five dollars and dropped that into my cart. Once there, the site updated to include a ticket surcharge of *eighteen dollars*. What does that even cover? Not parking. Not concessions. Not souvenirs. So, what then? Greed, apparently. Look. We all know ticketing surcharges exist and have existed since the first caveman chisled out the first ticket on a stone tablet all those many years ago. A *fifty-two percent* surcharge is both insulting and, dare I say it, disgusting. Needless to say I dumped my cart. Sorry, P.S.; your decision to push your hand further into my pocket left me feeling rather p.o.'d. No sale.

If you've never experienced live classical music, the Pacific Symphony is a good place to start. We went to a concert at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater, which is a great place to see the symphony since you can bring in food and wine! The music was very accessible. Even if you never listen to classical, you'll probably recognize some of the selections from movies. In addition, the conductor, Carl St. Clair, spoke a little bit about each piece before they started playing. The night we went featured a photo slide show along with one of the pieces. I noticed the other day in the Los Angeles Times that they were offering tickets for 50% off. If you've never seen the Pacific Symphony Orchestra and you live in Orange County, it's something you should do at least once. It's a lovely way to spend an evening.

They play at every Irvine Meadows Independence Day celebration. Nice song selections (pop, Dixie, Swing, jazz).

Being a huge fan of the film, I rushed to get tickets thinking it was actual live stage performance, then come to find out it was just a screening. Oops! Don't rush, take your time when purchasing for a show. The screening itself was adapted from Stanley Kubrick's masterpiece. Nothing can replace the original cast of this iconic film; however, the stage version was pretty impressive with the handling of the changing of stage scenes. It was highly abbreviated though, in my opinion. Tickets were for General Admission so we chose our seats upon doors opening. Every seat (approximately 750 seats) in the house seems to have non-obstructive view. We went for the first row center on the balcony level. Love this view. If you need a snack, there is wine, beer, water, soft drinks, and packaged snacks like cookies, chips, and candies for sale. Parking is in the structure right next to the theatre. (US$10-15) Ushers and all staff were very polite and courteous. Enjoy!

Our family went in summer 2018, 2019, and 2022. The gentleman next to us had sat in every type of seat in the house, and he confirmed that each seat has a good view. For a seat on the stage floor, there are cushions, but you must be comfortable sitting on the floor for about 50 min at a time. Most seats are comfortable. Some seats use bar-stool type seating that may cut into your thighs a bit. On a clear night, enjoy the moon and stars from the top level! One time, there was some aircraft noise from the airport, but that was unusual. Tickets. We did not see any at-the-door sales; all sales were in advance. When you buy on the website, the Barclay will email you good directions two days before the performance. The e-ticket says "print this ticket" but it is OK to just show it on your phone. From home. Bring an extra layer of clothing because summer nights can be relatively cool and breezy at any level in the theater. Some people may like to bring a seat cushion. Park in the UCI Student Center Parking Structure for $13, through 11:59 pm the day of the performance. Arrive about 7:20 to give yourself plenty of time to stroll to the theater. Signage is good. The location on Apple Maps is not correct and Google Maps does not give a location; hopefully that will change. At intermission, restrooms are signposted, a minute's walk from the theater in the adjacent UCI Library building. M&Ms or Gummi Bears cost $1; paper cups of water are free. After the show finishes, some cafes and restaurants in the University Center are still open: most fast-food restaurants, Cha for Tea, or Eureka. Access the University Center by using the Watson pedestrian bridge across Campus Dr.

It's in a really nice area of Costa Mesa close to a bunch of hotels, south coast plaza and some of the best restaurants. (So many options for you to pick from and have dinner before your show) The architecture of the building itself is really beautiful. I would say it's a little tucked in, because I am always in this area and have never seen it before. The ambiance inside is nice as well. It's extremely clean This place has a parking garage and valet. Unfortunately, we had no idea they had valet. So we just automatically parked in the parking garage. But they do have a little walk way that is extremely easy to get to the building from the garage The lines went extremely fast for getting into the building. There was no restrictions on handbag size. ( or at least they didn't say anything to me about it / could differ from show to show and who is performing) All I had to do was open my purse and walk through a metal detector. Everyone was so friendly Once we entered the building, there are tons of staff directing you where to go if you need help finding your section They do have stairs when you walk in, but they have elevators. I chose to walk up a few stairs and then take the elevator to get to our seats We had second floor box circle level seating. It was extremely easy to get to the seats and the lady who took us to our seats was extremely kind and helpful She also gave us the rules - No placing your handbag on the railing, no video or flash photography I can't stress enough, the importance of elevators and it being accessible. So 5 stars for that The bathrooms were very clean and had a great amount of bathroom stalls. So there was no line I only saw one very tiny stand where you could get refreshments. I did not get anything, so I don't know what they had to offer (such as alcohol or if they had any food) The write up online for the show we went to for Tchaikovsky's Fifth & Avi Avital Pacific Symphony -Experience Tchaikovsky's Triumphant Fifth & Mandolin Virtuoso Avi Avital!
