Pacific Shield is great. I've been with one of the large well known carriers since moving to LA and thought I had a great deal. Recently, my rates kept going up though and they were not responsive about why. No tickets, no claims, nothing. I reached out to some of the other big firms to get a quote... while they may have saved me a bit of money, it was still difficult to work with a big company and the savings weren't great. I then contacted Pacific Shield after someone else in my family switched to them. They were extremely helpful, went through my options, walked me through everything, suggested (but did not push) other services and significantly reduced my cost. I really like being able to support small business every chance I get, even when it comes to car insurance! Yes, there are so many online insurance platforms, but they really don't hold a candle to actually dealing with a human being who helps you navigate through laws, requirements, and policies which best suit your needs. Personally, I don't know the ins and outs of insurance policy details, but I needed a comprehensive policy immediately as I was leasing a car back in November. I was able to get everything set up with the broker over the phone, signed forms via e-signature, and just like that, I was insured and covered under CA law. They took all the pain out of the process and made it a ridiculously seamless transaction. I was very lucky to have spoken with Valerie, she was very experienced and made the process so easy from explaining to what type of coverage I would need for a leased vehicle, what I needed to provide and of course how much it would cost. Looking for insurance is the biggest pain ever, I just happen to stumble in here because my co-worker told me they were cheap...that and I wanted to get some tacos from Hugos! My first thought was, "Damn this place looks a little shady." It was a tiny little office with about 3 desks and 2 people working there. Just one room, no dividers. Kind of weird for an insurance office. The guy I spoke to was polite, but nothing more. Very emotionless. Kind of like a tron doing his work.
