I will preface this review with saying that the restaurant's patio is so beautiful, It is worth coming just for that. The waiters were awesome, and the overall experience was good. I think I just ordered some of the wrong things.
Guava smoothie (non-alcoholic) - this was so refreshing and mouthwatering. Expected It to taste more like the guava nectar drinks, but actually tasted more like fresh guava. 5/5
Bao bread short rib - this dish comes with 5 bao buns with the most tender meat I've had in a while. So mouthwatering, and by far the best dish I tried. 5/5
Pork shank - tried a bit of my friends dish. You get It with tortillas and the plate of meat separately. The meat was a little sweet and tangy, and definitely tasty. 5/5
Now to the items I did not enjoy.
Ceviche- this was one of the grossest dishes I ever ordered at a nice restaurant. I don't know how to say that nicely lol not sure what It was, but the fish just didn't taste fresh and the flavors didn't work for me. I took one bite and hate to be that person to waste food and cause a stink, but I asked to send It back. The waiter, after talking to the manager asked me what was wrong with the dish and then agreed to take It back. Not sure if It always tastes like this or just a bad day for the ceviche. 1/5
Tuna tostada- really didn't have a taste for this. Tuna was subpar and the flavors kind of went weird together. But, I definitely couldn't send back a second menu item lol so I toughed It out. 1.5/5
I liked that they offered little treats in between. They gave us a wide assortment of little bread rolls to start, then delicious mini tacos. And then at the end, we got a little carrot cake pop and chocolate truffle.
I think it's safe to say that you should probably order a meat dish over fish, as I had way better experience with the meat. read more
