**New Name Alert** Now called Cachet Beach, new name, same awful place to stay
We booked an ocean front room a year in advance (they make the year in advance mandatory for owners to insure you will get the room you booked), we arrived and were told we are in the "other" tower which is not near the beach. We get to our room and there is no view of the ocean, no view of a pool (also said pool view on our reservation confirmation), lamp shades are broken an chewed up, guest bath toilet won't fully flush (disgusting), kitchen lights were flickering and not working, safe doesn't work (Ongoing theme as I read that none of the safes work in the units which allows the staff to come to your room and rob you while you're out enjoying Cabo). Check the reviews and you'll see people had money stolen from their room. Room smells like mold, slider door to the deck takes a 200 lb man to open and close it, To cap it off, we tried to sit on the lounge beds on the beach but the staff says (these are reserved for later). We found out people off of the streets (not guests) are allowed to take the lounge beds all day for $20, and if they're reserved, they can stay reserved all day, and the guests cannot use them, even if no one shows.
We complained to the Sales Manager (Adam), his response was to yell at us in a threatening manner and tell us "there is a pool view, look to the right, there's no water in it but there's a pool" He proceeded to degrade and belittle us before storming out of our room, never to be seen again for the rest of the week.
We all drank only bottled water outside of the property and didn't order iced drinks, but all 4 of us got really sick at different times throughout the trip. This was due to brushing our teeth with the Cabo Villas/Cachet Beach water. They don't filter it, if they say they do, then they don't change their filters frequently enough.
At check out, we agreed on our final bill (which was only the per day resort fee that was never mentioned or shown in any of the fine print at time of booking) We charged nothing else to our room. As a result of them treating us so poorly we ended up spending every dollar for dining and drinks for the entire week at establishments off property. We signed the final bill, get home, then see our credit card bill has numerous charges for the mini bar. We did not touch one item from the bar. We had to have our credit card cancel the charge as it was in fact fraud.
They've recently changed their name to "Cachet Beach" as a result of the bad name Cabo Villas has developed but don't be mistaken by this, they are the same people. I cannot overstate how terrible they treat their guests here, if you stay here, they will ruin your Mexican vacation. read more
