My husband had a sleep study done at the Riverside facility. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to sleep so he couldn't complete the study. I didn't know what to do because my husband's pulmonologist is not from Pacific Pulmonary Medical Group Thankfully, Andrea from scheduling called me to help us make another appointment and tried her best to set us up at the earliest available she had. Terrible experience like many others trying to schedule here. I wrote in to their website trying to request an appointment on April 21st. I finally ended up calling because they never replied until May 29th and when they did reply they left the string of emails on their email to me with them telling one another to respond to me so weird and unprofessional, but I let it go. When I called in I had a couple terrible experiences trying to schedule... the woman said she could not find my referral in the large stack of faxes that they have and that they were "behind"... I had my doctor send in the referral again. They sent a text with information about my appointment and it says to reply if you have any questions. I replied with a question and it took days and another text before I finally got a response. They scheduled me with a male doctor whose name is nowhere on their website. I called and asked to be scheduled with a female doctor instead (explained this was due to severe anxiety especially with male doctors)... after hours combined on the phone I finally had an appointment scheduled for a virtual appointment with Dr. Tran on July 7th! I scheduled this appointment with Dr. Tran on May 1st, but agreed to wait over two months, because I wanted a female doctor and a virtual appointment. They confirmed these details and sent me a text. Mid-June they called and left a voicemail saying Dr. Tran only does virtual appointments for follow ups and not initial appointments. I had explained during my original call that I have limited mobility, already have a CPAP machine that I've been using for years and could have my husband bring in the machine and mask if it would help to see them and I could meet on video chat for anything else. They had agreed at that time, including a call from my primary care's office who had also confirmed. So when they called with this new info in the middle of June I contacted my primary care doctor's office again and they reached out to Pacific Pulmonary to make sure my appointment was virtual and still okay for 7/7 which they confirmed it was. Fast forward a week or so, I received another call saying they had an appointment sooner and asking me to call back. I called and just got a voicemail so called again the next day. They acted like they had no idea why I was calling and confirmed that my appointment was still scheduled for 7/7 with Dr. Tran for a virtual appointment... great. I received a text on Monday of this week asking me to confirm the appointment which I did. Then, today I receive a voicemail from someone named Jessica who says the doctor said they have to move my appointment to tomorrow with some male doctor's name and to call them back so they can explain why they're moving it. Umm what?! I called back and she reiterates the same information. I told her I cannot change to tomorrow and that I had specifically asked for a female doctor which is why I was scheduled with Dr. Tran. She places me on hold and comes back and says "okay, we can keep the appointment for Monday, but you'll need to come in person". Ummm that is not an option which both myself and my primary care doctor's office had now confirmed with multiple people multiple different times. She basically acted like there was nothing else she could do so I told her to just go ahead and cancel my appointment because I've lost all trust in this office. She said okay in a very rushed voice. No, I'm sorry you've wasted over two months and who knows how many phone calls and messages to now have had absolutely nothing actually done. I would not recommend this office to anyone. I have still not received a text or email confirming my appointment has actually been cancelled. I texted the number earlier today to get some sort of confirmation, because I don't want them accusing me of missing this appointment on Monday. As you may have guessed though, they have not responded yet. Such a waste of time and not once in any of my communications have I felt valued or like they cared if I actually stayed with them. Definitely recommend avoiding if at all possible. read more

Absolutely the worst experience with a medical provider I have ever had. Dr. Peter Zamfirescu-Alexander is terrible. I took my mother in to recertify her oxygen prescription. Mind you she has PLS which is a motor neuron disease resulting in her inability to walk/use her hands efficiently/swallowing difficulty etc. She also has chronic COPD and was prescribed oxygen BY this provider years prior to this. At her appointment he came in the room, threw his things down on the counter and said "I have a lot of patients waiting, what are you here for?", my mother handed him a note she had typed because the PLS has affected her voice and she cant speak effectively. He threw the note on the counter and said "what are you here for?". I explained that she was there to to recertify her oxygen. He says "get up and walk"......mind you, she came to the appointment in her wheelchair and cannot walk or even stand unassisted for any amount of time. I explained that to him and he basically said "well then I cant recerify your need for oxygen". Absolutely the worst medical experience my mother has ever had and she has seen MANY doctors. Wouldnt recommend to even my worst enemy. Stay away. read more

The entire experience at the office was great, from Anaya, Dr. Harianawala and the sleep medicine staff.

They don't answer the phone and when you leave a message they don't call you back. I've tried calling 18 times this week. I tried first thing in the morning, before lunch, after lunch, late afternoon but they never answer the phone. I've left messages with the answering service but I don't get a call back. Their webiste has a contact us to schedule an appointment feature but that is broken. Scary to think these people are qulaifed to perform medical procedures on people but they cannot manage a phone. read more

I arrived 18 minutes after my scheduled appointment. I drove from Moreno Valley to this Riverside office. I was unfamiliar with these offices and drove around for 20 minutes trying to find their office. I explained that to the receptionist. She checked with the doctor who said I have to reschedule. No thanks! Amazing how doctors can make patients wait and wait for their scheduled appointments, but patients being late when it's their first time there, must reschedule. read more

The good reviews have to be fake... because all of my experiences have been awful. It takes several months to be able to schedule a sleep test and several months to get the results. I had to call myself and see what was taking so long. Got told they were "scheduled to call me, but they are extremely busy so they hadn't been able to". Bc i called myself after a month, its going to take 2 1/2 months... i cant imagine if i hadnt... the nurse and font desk are also extremely rude. She has been instrumental in a smooth transition during my husband's pulmonary surgery and after care. Extremely unprofessional experience at this location. I had a very rude receptionist call me to schedule an appointment that was already pushed out months after my initial visit. This rude individual scheduled the appointment, confirmed the appointment, and then continued to spam my phone to try to collect a payment that was "due". Although the payment was already being resolved, she continued to persistently call my phone to collect a payment. My appointment was then canceled without any formal notice. This establishments priority is not in favor of the patients well being, instead they run this establishment like a business instead of a Healthcare provider. read more

PRO TIP: Call your medical insurance provider and make a complaint against them. This is the only thing that will help. Don't just ask for another clinic, make a complaint. This will force them to call you. Same story as a lot of others here...multiple communications over multiple weeks to the answering service, leaving messages but no one ever calls you back. If you listen to their entire message at the end it says to press zero to speak with an operator, but you never get that chance, it sends you straight to the answering service. Try it maybe they fix it after some time. I found another number for them 951-590-4837 but it rings to the same telephone number and the message prompts are exactly the same. read more

Dr Kanaan is amazing, very professional and informative. Any questions or concerns you have, he answers and explains with detail. His staff, Evelyn, is so knowledgeable and informative. I had issues with getting my bilobectomy surgery approved from my insurance. Evelyn and Dr. Kanaan were very active with my insurance in having the surgery approved. After my surgery, I needed more time off from my job to fully recover. I reached out to Janet to get a doctor's note and help with extending my disability. She was professional in getting all the information needed to give Dr. Kanaan to get my disability all sorted out. First of all, I am not complaining about physician care. I am writing to express my disappointment with the lack of communication and services regarding my CPAP supplies. I have made a total of 16 calls to the Pacific Pulmonary Medical Group to the individual who processes durable medical equipment. Each time I call it is directed to voicemail. The message on the machine I received stated " leave a message and we will get right back to you." Unfortunately, I have yet to receive a response to my call. I'm wondering what exactly this generic message means. To further expedite the ordering of my CPAP supplies, I went to the office in person. However, I was disappointed the durable medical equipment coordinator did not come out to speak with me. Instead, they chose to communicate to the clerk behind the desk. This is a lack of professionalism, quite frustrating, and unhelpful. Additionally, I reached out to the home health agency supplier, but was informed they could not proceed without a doctor's order. Why was I never provided with follow-up communication from Pacific Pulmonary. I have been trying to resolve this issue since December 5, 2024, and have run out of CPAP supplies. It is always a great experience seeing and speaking with my pulmonary specialist Dr Harianawala. My physician always takes the time to address all of my medical concerns and inquiries without making me feel rushed. I leave feeling confident and fully assured that my doctor has outlined the appropriate course of treatment for me after a meticulous and thorough assessment of my health care. Today, I personally saw and heard a staff member by the name of Brian advocate for one of his patients with great zeal and compassion going above and beyond the general scope outlined within his position. His voiced concerns reflected his genuine compassion for his patient. Brenda is always very professional, thorough and pleasant in coordinating the scheduling of my appointments for the various procedures that I need and making my follow up visits. Steve has an excellent and gentle mannerism in his thorough explanation and instruction on how to best use my Cpap machine. He pays extreme attention to my test results to factor in his recalibration of my machine accordingly. I had to wait a while before posting this review. This review is not on the doctor of this particular office but of its office manager and receptionist (on the other side of the wall from the front desk in the lobby). She needs to have a level of discernment that can tell the difference between being "mean," and frustrated... After being sick for months with pneumonia, sepsis and staph in my lungs I lost everything. My finances were below the ground. My family was struggling. We were homeless. Because I had to many doctors involved one doctor just pointed at the other one to sign my Disability Paperwork. I was "Frustrated" because I was told that I needed to wait for Dr. Alizah to return June 16th. Which was 3 weeks away. We all know EDD.... It's a pain. I told the lady with a "Frustrated" tone that I cannot wait that long. My family needs help. She was of know help and neither was the office manager. I found out that these receptionist have the power to write negative things about you In your file. Which creates a bias to others. I was told " If you don't be nice we will delay your disability." Then this person told me that the receptionist logged that I was being mean. Try having your family suffer. "I certainly didn't ask to be sick." Your lucky that I didn't cross my own limits or put this treatment with her photo on social media. All platforms.... You lied woman. Your co-worker might back you up but my daughter heard the whole thing as well. How many other people did you lie about? Oh, and I received my disability with no help from this office. I usually skip reviews but I had to take a moment to thank their office staff for being extremely helpful and helping alleviate some of our frustrations. My family fell on hard times after the pandemic and Nia listened to our problems and provide a solution to alleviate some of our cost on our bill. Avoid this place like the plague...not that you have to avoid it because they do everything they can to avoid contacting you. The office staff, specifically Janet and Evelyn, are incredibly rude and unprofessional. Rather than being helpful to people that are obviously in need of medical care, sometimes urgent, they chastise the patients and hang up on them. They admittedly discuss patients amongst themselves, trying to discredit them. We were told that they have "millions of patients" that they see within a week, yet they can't seem to call back one....or multiple according to the history of reviews on this place. read more

This place is trash! I never had a bad experience as I had at that place! I arrived within the 15 minutes grace period, and I called the office before going. When I arrived there and after some arguments, the doctor decided to see me, but when he entered the room, I was about to explain my problem, and he suddenly got mad, opened the door and LEFT me!!!
