I saw this place pop up on Yelp and I don't think there is much Indian food in Port Orchard. The…read morestaff was very kind and there was a decent number of people sitting in the restaurant for a late lunch. Ordered the Chicken Vindaloo, Butter Chicken, and chili onion naan. Each curry came with rice that was nicely fragrant. You get to choose your spice level, so we chose 7/6 for our dishes. I personally could have gone spicier. My favorite was the Chicken Vindaloo. There was so much depth in flavor to the dish and had that addicting taste. The butter chicken was also good (that was ordered at a 6 level spice), but I think because it's creamy, I could have gone spicier. In both curries, there is a decent amount of protein. The naan like the other reviews say is thin, but has a nice crisp to it and is still very good. I'm giving this 5 stars in comparission to other spots in Port Orchard. If it were in an area that perhaps had more Indian food, then I might give it a 4.5. I will definitely be coming back though.

The Chicken Marsala (breast so can be a little dry) was creamy and the Chicken Tandoori was very flavorful. The Garlic Naan Bread was good, a bit crispy for me but still very good. The restaurant is large but the parking is small, I heard some ppl needed to park in the Staples parking lot. They have Indian beer you can take to go (~$11 for large bottle)along with a variety of wines. The facility was very clean and when someone left, staff was quick to wipe the space down. They can host large parties and it was spacious enough for someone to read a book in the corner table. Highly recommend and will be making my way back again to try other dishes.

Nirvana is a solid option on Bainbridge Island when you're craving Indian food. We had a couple of…read morestarters that hit the spot. The onion bhaji was nicely done, and the pakora was especially good with a subtle chili kick. For the mains, it was a mixed bag. The Gurkha subzi with paratha was the clear standout, seriously delicious and the kind of dish you'll think about later. The malai kofta, on the other hand, was just average and not something I'd order again (it came with rice). Big plus: parking and seating were both easy. Overall, a good spot with some real highlights.

Prince was working front of house by himself literally running to get to everyone and making naan as well. Anyway our worries were for naught because we were thoroughly impressed by the food. We got the tandoori chicken which was juicy and tender, with a good char to it. The sauce to complement it was perfect too. The chili garlic naan was crisp and great for dipping into all the different dishes we got as well. Bhindi masala was bursting with flavor and we chose tofu as our protein which soaked up all that savoriness. Saag paneer was creamy and generous with the amount of paneer. We also got a small side of basmati rice but it was enough for 3 of us and cooked perfectly. The mango lassi was not too sweet (the highest of compliments!) They seem to be a family business so I feel extra great supporting them. The place was decorated nicely and the seating was comfortable. We thought the prices were fair for such delicious food and portion sizes. There was a bit of a wait to get the food but it was well worth the taste! I look forward to returning to try more of their menu.

Take your time though, and if you're in a hurry just order ahead for take out, or to make sure it's ready when you are. Good food takes time, people. Service was impeccable and the food was some of the best Indian Food I've had in years. I had the Chicken Biryani (there was so much I had the rest later for dinner) and my husband had the Chicken Tikka Masala ... also quite a bit of food. We topped it off with the good ol' garlic naan that really is GOOD, and two mango lassi that were the real deal. The flavors were incredible, and I'm always a little scared to ask for "mild" but it was. My husband got "medium" so I could really tell the difference in the heat. They do pay attention. And yeah, so the floor was a little sticky by the bathroom, and we did wait for about 25 minutes for the food (totally worth it ... by the way). It's our new favorite place.

I have to say this is on place I will never step food in again. Especially during the graveyard…read moreshift the guy who works that shift Is have to say has the worst customer service skills I have ever witnessed. He really needs to learn the proper way to treat paying customers. I used to go into that sore 2 sometimes 3 times a day but last night was the final straw unfortunately they are the only store open all night in the area however I will from now on make sure I either have what I need or I will wait until morning that man is so rude either rude or not even behind the counter a note always saying be back in 5 min. Talking to people like they are beneath him and don't bother calling the manager and complaining because he is equally if not more rude then his employees. I have heard several people I know talk about the graveyard guy and how rude he is so I will say that store is the worst store as far as customer service goes that I have ever had the displeasure of going into. They lost a good customer and the way they are in sure they will loose many more I know I'm definitely going to spread the word about the employee and his manager if either of them worked for anyone else I'm sure they wouldn't for long that's how bad they are. The guy is not only rude but he's super creepy really he even looks creepy. I'm sure people know exactly the guy I'm talking to career am/pm cashier because I doubt he could get a job anywhere else as creepy as he is and a good shower is another thing he needs cuz I've never seen such greasy hair in all my 53 years on this earth seriously not even joking how unprofessional.
