The installation process and different options were explained clearly and understandably right from the get-go, which I really appreciated. We were concerned about us having 3 dogs and the potential for foul odor from urine, etc. But with the turf that is designed for that and the underlying material used, those concerns were addressed well. This might be TMI, but the dog feces is super easy to clean up now, as it sits right on the top of the grass and is easily removed! (Not to mention it is easy to spot!) A real plus for us. We had our concrete patio replaced and as a result the turf was cut, pulled back, and left in a pretty rough state. I sent Rich (the owner) a text and he replied immediately to set up a time to look over everything and get me a quote. Friends recommended Pacific Grass & Turf to us after their backyard turned out great. Robert came and talked to us about their installation process and products and provided an estimate. We came away impressed. It took us another year before we actually moved forward with the turf installation because we were also coordinating the installation of a new deck and slate patio. Robert checked in with us every couple months but not at all pushy. Once we were ready, he provided an updated estimate and we were scheduled for less than 2 weeks later. Richard from PG&T stopped by the day before the scheduled install to make sure there were no hiccups and to answer any last minute questions. The next morning, the installation team arrived, introduced themselves, and got to work. There were about 8 installers and it was impressive to see how well they work together. They were able to adjust the turf placement in a way that avoided having any seams (except one short seam in side yard). We finally have a backyard!! We have always wanted to get some turf put in, but when we decided to get our new dog that pushed the project up a year. We started our research as to what we need, types, and all of that stuff that. I started by hoping onto Yelp to find some reviews of local business. Ill mention that everyone in the business was straight forward and prices where for the most part very close and comparable. We ended up choosing Pacific Grass & Turf based on price, and a personal recommendation from a fellow co-worker. Our scheduling was approximately 10 days out. it took half day of existing material removal. and another half day of instal. I was there to witness the prep work. Thats where I feel a lot of the money goes, I could have done some of this myself but they had all the tools and a crew of 6 to knock this out. They moved along like clockwork. The grass rolled and and they began to roll it out and get it nice and tight and complete the job. The infill was also cool to watch. They had a process and a few diff tools to make it happen. Again, this can be done DYI but some times its work it to budget and let the pros happen. 6 guys, all the equipment, warranty was good peace of mind. The crew left the job site cleaner then how they found it. Checked in before they left. Very happy customers. This area is 400 square ft.
