Doesn't hurt to have it checked even though I don't have any issues. Yet secretly I kind of want glasses but I passed the exam.... had to be honest, I couldn't help it! It was a smooth process, from calling to schedule an appointment, to signing papers and getting the exam. I was still nervous though! I thought I had to get my eyes dilated and experience blurry vision, that's scary! But I guess I didn't need too.. The second reason I came was because I work with multiple computer screens at work, I wanted some blue light glasses. I had some pairs in my Amazon cart, but I just couldn't trust. Doc prescribed me, I tried on multiple frames, found the perfect frame and checked out. But now I have to wait patiently, gritting my teeth, for it to come in! I'm excited!

They're kind, always willing to explain the tests, processes, and results so that they're easy to understand. The office offers tons of glasses options and the staff are always willing to answer any questions you may have about lens options and how they can work with your insurance to help you upgrade your glasses or make adjustments. Appointments can sometimes be a little hard to come by as they have serviced the Mililani community for many decades at this point but it isn't much of an issue if you plan ahead. They're always very flexible when it comes to immediate need as much as they can. If you want to find a community based caring pair of doctors, you should definitely become a patient of theirs. There's a reason why so many in the community have chosen this office to be their own.

My cousin needed new glasses because his frame was broken. We had to get pre-authorization from his Primary Care Physician to see Dr. Tanji again... after all of these years... because of insurance coverage. It took a few phone calls, but the appointment was finally made for 2:20pm. We arrived early to update paperwork. Cousin was called in at 2:28pm... not bad! He had some testing done; waited in the lobby for a few minutes; then got called back in. In short: mission accomplished! (We were there for about 2 hours total.) He got a prescription to take to Lensctafters! Thank you, Dr. Tanji and staff for your professionalism, thorough manner, and cheerfulness! Therefore, I made an appointment to have my right eye fixed. This time, I was kept waiting in the waiting room for 2 hours. I finally had to go to the restroom. When I returned, I asked how much longer do I have to wait. I was told that I lost my turn because I was not in the waiting room when I was called. I then had to wait another hour. When I finally had my left eye worked on, Dr. Tanji said that if my eyesight is not improved, he could redo it. A few days later, I was looking at the full moon and could see 2 moons. I made an appointment to see Dr. Tanji to correct the problem. When he saw me again, he said that he was not going to fix it. His exact words were, "do you know how hard it is to do this? Have you gone to see your doctor for a checkup?" He was insinuating that my mind was not working! I had to see another specialist who tried to correct the mess that Dr. Tanji caused but it could not be completely corrected. Plus, Dr. Tanji made a tear on my eyeball. I am stuck now with double vision which cannot be completely corrected with glasses. Dr. Tanji not only ruined my eyesight but he was also very cocky and condescending!!!

I really like their one year warranty on their frames & lenses (will replace scratched lenses at no cost). They also make minor repairs and/or adjustments in house. The employees was very welcoming and friendly, the wait was not long at all, I went inside tried on several glasses to see what I prefer and once I found the one I liked I let them know and then i sat down to do the paper work to order the glasses. Turn around time was 2 weeks but I got it less then 2 weeks when they texted it was ready for pickup so I'll be picking up this Saturday which is amazing.
