WOW I can see…read moreagain!!!!!!! I was referred to Dr Juancho Remulla (High Desert Eye Center) for evaluation & possible YAG Laser Capsulotomy -- in both eyes. The office was very clean & the atmosphere was welcoming. The entire Team @ HDEC was friendly, concerned & very professional. I was very apprehensive about any procedures being done to my eyes because of past bad services provided by another High Desert Eye Care Facility. Dr Remulla was the BEST. He was extremely patient & answered all my questions in detail & in terms I could easily understand. He performed several exams & stated I needed this procedure for each eye. I had lots of scar tissue damage & that severely affected my vision in both eyes. I explained to Dr Remulla that I was going on vacation & he immediately scheduled this laser procedure. He said I should be able to enjoy my vacation & see. I was able to get appointments that fit my schedule. During this medical procedure he continued his warm demeanor & professionalism & made me comfortable -- minutes after this laser procedure was done I could see better than I have been able to in months. Due to Dr Remulla & his Team I can see extremely clear in both eyes. I strongly urge all of my High Desert friends to see Dr Remulla first before traveling down the hill -- High Desert Eye Center is the BEST -- Dr Remulla is a Gift sent from Heaven. There was no wait. I don't post a lot if reviews but I wanted to make a point to leave one today. One person stood out in particular, her name is Rae. She helped me check out and was super friendly and helpful. She said she was new, but you would never know. She did a great job and went above and beyond to help me. I'll definitely be back! After going to target optometry for the last few years the difference was like night and day.

They recently moved to a new location, which is much smaller and tends to feel more crowded and congested, especially during busy hours. They've also had a lot of staff changes over time. On my last visit, I didn't recognize anyone, which was a bit disappointing because I used to really appreciate the familiar faces and the relationships we built over the years. There aren't as many glasses options anymore, especially when it comes to name-brand frames, and the turnaround time for glasses seems longer than it used to be. That said, they still move through appointments quickly and get you in and out. It's not quite the same experience I remember, but I still appreciate the years of service and hope it improves with time.

I'm currently still waiting for my glasses 1 month and 1 week later. I'm even told (over the phone) that my glasses were there yesterday, but that I'm unable to pick them up until I receive a text. Still haven't received that text into the afternoon the next day now. There was a backlog originally from the manufacturer regarding the frames, and I have been calling to try to figure out the delay over this time. There were promises made of communications back with updates, but I received none. The last time the glasses took close to a month. Plan on that. Knowing my glasses have been at the office for over 24 hours now, and not receiving that text...hm.

Buena Vista Eye Care-Adelanto…read more March 2025. The day following this exam began with not one thing going according to what I was informed would be the timeline. I waited the amount of time I was given then I called for an update then week of the 24th. I was told the lab was checking the quality of the lens. At this time, I had one and a half weeks until I was leaving the state again. I called later in the week and was given the same exact reason. The following week and with seven days remaining, I decided to go to Buena Vista Eye Care and inquire in person. I was again, given the same exact reason and I wondered if there was a sign hanging in the back area with this one response to be given to customers when and if they asked. At this point it was past the number of days I was told they would be ready and with my departure day at hand, I quite frankly told the gal that I was being screwed over. At the least, she could have called the lab for an actual update, but she didn't. I left on my trip without the new prescription I was promised and had to drive literally more than 3,727 miles (round trip) without decent glasses. However, I did receive a message while on the road that the glasses were ready. When I returned, I went to pick up the glasses and they were nice but I did question the obvious bi-focal lines. I spoke with the manager who finally explained why the delays; it was due to my insurance. Okay, if I had been told at the onset I would have had a different mindset. If the assistant had checked the insurance I would not have received erroneous information. I thanked her for the explanation and left. I tried the glasses at home in more detail and wasn't happy because at the inside area of both lenses were literally grind marks! I called, explained and was told to come in anytime and we would see what "might" be available as a remedy. I decided I did not have the time or energy for more of the same. I was again preparing to leave in a few weeks. Disillusioned, I drove to the store, placed them on the counter in front of the gal and told her that I would never wear these and to give them to someone else! "Really?" was the only response. I replied yes then left the store. This was a rotten experience that has truly left a foul taste in my mouth. I hope no one else has to suffer through this treatment and if so, leave your review to inform others of your experiences.
