I had another appointment today for some dental work. I have extreme dental anxiety this was my 3rd trip for work and all three times have been great experiences for me all workers are very accommodating and attentive. My dentist is gentle and listens. I usually dont write reviews even when service is bad but I cant help but keep thinking about how I regret going here. My first visit was pleasant but then my 2nd and most recent was not. I went in to get a exam so they could ultimatly fix a very small chip on my front tooth. All together it took him a couple minutes to look at my tooth and to decide that it wasnt worth fixing. Had to pay $140 for the "exam" and didnt get what I wanted done. I barely had enough money to do this. (Im a stay at home mom full time). So it Just was really dissapointing. read more

Just want your money, so far $300.00, and they have not touched my tooth, waited over a month to get in would not even look at the rest of my mouth or discuss it, said you need a root canal and only one person in Roseburg does them, sent me to an endodontist, who also has done nothing except charge me another 300.00 and scheduled me for a root canal. It has been about 3 months since I started this, and still waiting for my root canal. Meanwhile the person who recommended PCSmiles, had a cavity filled. and said the dentist was extremely rushed, running between patients, when the numbing wore off she was in lots of pain with blisters and damage to her inside of lips. I will not go back. They got my 300.00 for taking an xray, and have not helped me at all. Other than that the staff is quite friendly and nice. read more

Doctor I saw had terrible bedside manner. He spent a total of 5 minutes with me and told he "thought" I needed a root canal, or I could just have an extraction. As someone that works in healthcare myself, and someone who takes care of myself and values my teeth, I found this unsatisfactory and unprofessional. You cannot base what you THINK on something without doing a proper exam. He also said he did not feel comfortable working on my tooth, so I needed to go to a specialist. I went for second opinion (thankfully) elsewhere and was told this was certainly not what I needed done and I had no infection, no issue down to the nerve, etc. A simple filling was all I needed. I don't know if he is a new doctor or just an uncompassionate one, but I would not recommend him to anyone that I care about. read more

Forgetful no follow through, went in for severe pain was given prescription for antibiotics, and told I would be forwarded to specialist in Eugene. Two weeks later I get a hold of office in Eugene and was told they recived no reference, but they would contact smiles dental group. At end of week I call smiles dental because I still haven't heard from any one. Well they still haven't sent referral. I don't understand the lack of care and compassion for someone In pain and in need of root canal. I hope they all have a shity life experience. read more

They took very good care of my teeth and made the whole dentist experience enjoyable. They are constantly playing music to help you relax and the more "open floor plan" makes you feel less alone in the experience. I was showed a lot of sympathy throughout the appointment and my hygienist was always trying to spark conversation. The dentist that saw me was only there for a few minutes, but I actually enjoyed this. He looked at my teeth thoroughly but efficiently, so I wouldn't have to wait too much longer. He made sure that I fully understood the next steps for my teeth, and was very friendly. Checking out was amazing as well. The women who went over my payment details was very friendly and funny. Todays dental assistant for inserting my dental implant crown (Vicky) was conscientious and precise about the fit. She tweaked and adjusted until things were just right and to my satisfaction. I have seen consistency of conscious care during my last several visits. All in all I'm pleased with Smiles dental. read more

I have been going for two years. I was told when I started I needed work done. I was in no hurry. Yesterday I went in for a regular cleaning. My technician was not there out on leave. Got a traveling technician. She was 15 minutes late starting . I went back to her section. She messed around doing what don't know. She stated she could not clean my teeth. She said I had to do the deep cleaning first. I said fine start it. She went to make sure my insurance was up to date but it was not. They would pay for cleaning but not the deep cleaning. They called into my insurance the tech said she was on the phone with my insurance. I waited and waited. She came back and said I have to wait maybe a month for approval. They would call me. Then it would not be until April to get it done. I just went in for a cleaning. She was rude. I drove for 55 minute drive one way so 55 minutes back plus the 60 minute with nothing being done. I live in Elkton I had things to do I was early. She was late.The parking bad. When I got home called another dentist I will be in next week. My insurance already approved Smiles request that they were suppose to call me back on. I have gotten no respond from Smiles. Dentist. Poor serves Did not know what they are doing. Hope my new Dentist is better. read more

Dental Care on their terms. I'm having a dental emergency, called them Saturday, no answer, again today (Monday) and the woman made me feel like I was an intrusion. When I went in originally, they said they would bill my Insurance, but it took 3 calls to them, one face to face visit, and 4 calls to my Insurance Company to get them paid. Insurance Company said Smiles wouldn't send THEM a bill. While I was there, I was rather rudely treated by the old lady cleaning my teeth, I hadn't been doing things to HER satisfaction. I'm 72, I have most of the original teeth, leave me alone. read more

My experience started out very good with Dr. Schumacher. Our consultation went great. I decided on getting full implant restoration and was referred to their in house "implant specialist." Our consultation went ok, he talks so fast that it is very difficult to keep up with him. After leaving and talking with my husband and grown children about the plan we all agreed to move forward with the $40,000 job but we wanted to see some testimonials as this specialist has been a dentist for 4 years and an implant specialist for 2 years. The office manager was very kind when I requested these snd she sent me 3 referrals for folks who had 1-3 implants done. When I met with the implant specialist before my actual surgery date, I asked him how many full mouth procedures he had done. He said "I do them everyday!" I said I would like some testimonials from those folks. That's when the wheels flew off! He raised his voice telling me that he was giving me a great deal and with what I was having done it should be $100,000 but he was giving me a deal. Finally after about 5-10 minutes of his pontificating about his great price I told him that it's not about the money. I just needed to feel confident as I have had some very bad experiences with dentists. He then told the assistant to get me the phone number to Clear Choice and walked out like a child. I was stunned but after talking with several people I truly feel like I dodged a bad situation. read more

I went to Smiles Dental and saw Dr. Michael Neish. It was the most bizarre dental experience ive ever had. I go to the dentist regularly, every 6 months, and I am in my late 30's so I have seen a lot of dentist. The dental cleaning was the standard cleaning, cant complain about that, but the dentist was so weird. I felt like he acted as though he was high on drugs. He had a hard time sitting still, he rambled in his conversation, and when he fist came to meet me he shook my hand, made some weird small talk, looked in my mouth and then told me that I needed 8 crowns! I go to the dentist all the time, don't you think it would have been brought to my attention in the past if I might need any crowns, especially 8! He wanted to redo every filling in my mouth. Then the last dentist that I went to had told me I had a small cavity brewing, and when I asked Dr. Michael Neish if he saw that, he said no...never once even looked at the xrays the tech took.
