I just realized I forgot to tell about our wonderful experience at Pacific Coast Veterinary! From the moment Louise and I entered the building I felt like everything would be all right! Dr. Biz diagnosed Louise with a liver disease MVD. From the first moment, I sat down with Dr. Biz. He was so kind and patient and understanding with everything that was going on with us, I did not feel rushed. I asked as many questions as I needed to and from that day forward, I have felt comfortable calling messaging, emailing the hospital or Dr. Biz. The front office staff is fabulous, if I had to complain about anything, it's the drive to them, I live in Burbank and they are in Calabasas, but I can't really complain because it's worth the drive! My last words are my little Louise Mae is in good hands.

I absolutely love this place! Ample parking, lovely environment, kind and supportive staff and AMAZING doctors! I've trusted Dr. Maya Lottati with my miniature Schnauzers for over 8 years and she is the absolute best internist ever. So knowledgable and caring - she's helped me manage kidney disease for two of my dogs, and I'll be bringing another to her now that he's been diagnosed with proteinuria. I've also seen Dr. Tallant, who was so patient and answered all of my many questions regarding my dog's mobility issues. I know my time is limited with my dear pup Seamus as his kidney disease progresses, but I know he's in the best hands and I feel so supported by Dr. Lottati and her team (thank you, Hope!). I can't recommend this hospital enough! Thank you, Pacific Coast Veterinary Specialists.

Neighborhood Great Dane snapped its lead and jumped our girl. Dr Bisignano and staff squeezed us in and took great care with her. The facility is new, so clean and fresh, and the staff truly care for the animals they treat. Ivy needed a surgery and they took care of things swiftly. Dr Tallant helped turn things around. The recovery will take a few weeks of course. When we go the office Ivy wags her tail and trots in the door (3 times now) as she knows she is going to get so many pets and love from staff while there.

Thank you Dr Lottati for being able to see my Coco so quickly. He is already feeling so much better and his stools are normal again. Highly recommend this place!

Pacific Coast Veterinary Specialists is like no other veterinary clinic. It is truly exquisitely beautiful. Every detail -- from the entry, to the waiting room, to the exam rooms -- has been thoughtfully designed to delight the eye and calm the anxiety that parents and their dog and cat children experience every time they walk into a veterinary clinic. More importantly, Dr. Lottati was incredibly kind, patient, and thorough with Phoebe. She gently approached her, speaking softly, instinctively knowing how to make Phoebe feel safe before attempting to examine her. Phoebe always wants to retreat back into the safety of her stroller at veterinary appointments, so seeing her calmly walk around the exam room floor was truly a testimony to how comfortable she felt. Phoebe has been to several dermatologists, emergency hospitals, and veterinarians over the last year. Many of the medications and treatments that were suggested came with pages of potential side effects, including hospitalization and even death. After Dr. Lottati carefully reviewed Phoebe's complicated history, she explained how Phoebe got into this condition and suggested a thoughtful treatment plan. Dr. Lottati gave me hope that it might be possible to control Phoebe's infection topically rather than immediately turning to more antibiotics and injections. She also followed up with detailed emailed instructions. For the first time in a very long time, I walked out of a veterinary appointment feeling hopeful instead of defeated. Dr. Lottati radiates compassion, knowledge, and light. She is truly one of a kind.

Wonderful experience from start to finish! Scheduling was so easy and they were able to get my dog in for a consult and CT/Rhinoscopy right away! Dr. Lottati was fantastic! She spent a lot of time taking through my dogs extensive medical history, thoroughly explained what she found during her procedures and what to expect moving forward. We never felt rushed in any way. Every team member we met was extremely friendly and personable and the facility is absolutely stunning! We highly recommend Pacific Coast Veterinary Specialist!

This photo is of Biggie after Dr. Lottati modified her treatment. She was back to her spunky self!

My dog Biggie had Cushing's disease and wasn't tolerating the standard medication and that's when we were referred to Dr. Lottati. After meeting with her for a second opinion, Dr. Lottati recommended a much less common treatment, and Biggie's quality of life completely turned around. Her pot belly shrank, her fur grew back, and I truly never expected such an improvement. I'm so grateful. This is just one of the many times that Dr. Lottati has treated my pets. Dr. Lottati clearly loves her patients like her own and anyone would be incredibly lucky to have her care for their pet! We unfortunately had a separate incident where our family cat, Chet, where he had a freak accident that left him with a large, open wound on his stomach. During a very stressful time, we were lucky to be under Dr. Tallant's care. He needed multiple procedures and ongoing bandage changes, and Dr. Tallant was kind, thorough, and incredibly supportive throughout the entire process. I'm so thrilled to know that Pacific Coast Veterinary Specialists has such incredible doctors on their team. They will definitely be my go-to for any specialty care that my fur babies may need.

I had such an amazing experience bringing my cat here. The staff was kind, patient, and genuinely cared about my cats well-being from the moment we walked in. Dr.Lottati and her team took the time to thoroughly explain everything and answer all my questions without making me feel rushed. If you're looking for a knowledgeable, compassionate, and trustworthy veterinary specialist I highly recommend this practice, I will not be going anywhere else!

Couldn't recommend Dr Lottati and the team more! My pup Murphy unfortunately has quite a few health issues but Dr Lottati has been incredibly attentive and caring for my pup.

Murphy and MacDuff totally agree!

I cannot say enough about everyone in this office... from the receptionist all the way up to Dr. Lottati and the surgeon, Dr. Tallent. A very well run office. We are awaiting test results for Murphy, but confidence is extremely high that no matter what, Dr. Lottati and her staff will do their best to find the answers! You just get a rock solid feeling that they know precisely what they are doing. A bit of a schlep from Encino... but worth every mile. Highly recommend them.

Glitch the office pet

Toast and I have been seeing Dr. Lottati for years, and her new location is very convenient and clean (and much less stressful). Dr. Lottati is a Cushing's expert who takes her time with all of my anxious questions about my little old girl. Friendly office staff and adorable office pet. Expect to pay specialist prices; this is a specialty practice.

And because of them my husky lived 14 happy, pain free, years with amazing quality of life until literally his last day. We've been through several vets in the many years of patronage but Dr.D has been our vet for the last couple years and without a doubt her treatments are why my dog lived to 14 pain free and happy. Yes they are expensive, Woodland Hills, but pets are expensive. I highly recommend pet insurance for all pets as that is the reason I was always able to treat my dog. Last: the staff. Everyone at the front desk and the techs are amazing but I have to specifically point out Xavier, who has gone above and beyond for us more than once, and was the one to help renly pass, as they had their own special bond. and Bailey who has been there for us for many years as well. Now I have brought home a 10 month old east valley rescue who had kennel cough and several other shelter related issues and Dr. D has treated him appropriately and he is recovering quickly. Disappointed to say after years of kind service and being a favored location for our rescue dogs, to being at random blocked from booking any appointments "due to missing 3 previous appointments" which we had never been notified or contacted about, therefore not even aware of these alleged appointments being booked in the first place. The lady on the phone had instructed that Dr Messri decided to no longer allow us as patients at random. 3 years of being a loyal customer. 5 dogs that had relied on their care - which any dog parent knows how valuable a vet to trust is. I had an appointment booked and confirmed for the 10th Nov for two of my dogs - in which I was not notified we wouldn't be seen until I called today the 29th of October to check if we could move it earlier - to be offered an earlier appointment on the 4th of November, placed on hold for 8 minutes, and returned with a response that the owner, Dr Messri, said we aren't allowed to be seen any longer... after we had a confirmed appointment in two weeks; that I assume we arrive to be turned away on the day? The lack of communication regarding this has been horrid and quite beyond disappointing from a business that represents itself to care for its community. This has been an utterly disappointing experience that has stained over 3 years of loyal customer experience. It feels like a random, unannounced, and quite frankly hurtful way to communicate to any customer (let alone those who have supported your business for years $$$$! + have been nothing but kind). Dr Messri Decision to not communicate with his business and to shut out patients that had seen him since they were pups is a sad reflection of what Skyline Animal Hospital has become. I truly appreciate the front staff whom were always kind and accommodating- sadly I can't imagine that lasting with Dr Messri treating customers such as this. If you desire a trustworthy vet that communicates transparently, Skyline Animal Hospital is NOT your place.

They were so gentle Reya stayed pretty still for them. Then the Doctor came in to talk to me and do a few more tests including staining. Reya was so calm and the Doctor was so gentle it went very smoothly. After the examination was finished the Doctor explained to me about the various issues that were found in Reya's eyes with a very thorough explanation of everything. We made a plan that I feel happy with for Reya and we will be following up again in a couple months. What is nice is they take care credit with the 0%APR option taking some stress off the payments. The staff are friendly, unhurried, and coordinate well with one another and with the doctors. Now for the stuff that matters most: Compassion. I think of compassion as understanding someone's suffering, and then acting to soothe that suffering. By this definition, Dr. Sheahan is one of the most compassionate people I have ever met. When I first brought our cat Benny to her for a swollen eye, she used books, photos, videos, and a whiteboard to give me a clear idea of what she was thinking. She gradually unfolded the possiblity of cancer, so that I had time to process it both mentally and emotionally. She outlined the testing options step by step in plain language. She gave me some privacy to collect my thoughts, and then returned to complete our conversation. She called *after hours* to convince a radiology company to expedite Benny's CT scan. When the tests confirmed her suspicions, she didn't announce the bad news and then walk away. Instead, she spoke with gentleness and sat with my daughter and me in our grief. When we asked about next steps, she didn't tell us to go find a cancer specialist. Instead, the following morning she called *before office hours* to speak directly with the oncologist she trusts, to start Benny on treatment and get him scheduled. And Dr. Sheahan did this on her *own day off,* keeping me in the loop by phone and text. All while tending to her garden, and making me laugh. As a retired pediatrician myself, the highest praise I can give her is this: I wish she were *my* primary care doctor.

Unlike our previous experience where we were able to book ahead of time and plan for our pup's passing, this was a circumstance where our baby needed immediate services -- his body was failing. Once I saw our senior 13-yr old pup was telling me it was okay, I called Dr. Gonzalez at 7pm. She was at our home by 10pm. Our pup had been sick for several years, and in that last week, our primary vet had already told us his health was declining, so we at least knew the end was near. And I had already mentally prepared to be strong and let him go when he needed to -- so I had Dr. Gonzalez's number on hand. We live in an apartment building, so we reserved a spot for her in our lot as close as possible to an exit. She came upstairs to our home, and she had brought all her equipment. I had already imagined how I wanted this experience to go for my once in a lifetime soul pup. I sat on his favorite place on the sofa, and I had him in my lap. Dr. Gonzalez gave me a pee pad to wrap around him within the blanket understanding there could be an accident in the process as his body released his spirit. I had a candle lit. I had soft music playing. We had low lighting on to honor what was about to happen. Dr. Gonzalez was also super accommodating to our 2nd puppy who was curious about her and wondering what was happening to his big brother. She didn't shoo him away -- she invited us to keep the puppy around so he can know his big brother was about to pass on. She gave us time to speak to Nuxx, love on him, and then let him go. Then, it finally happened. And Dr. Gonzalez stepped out of our apartment for awhile, giving our little family time to grieve, sob, and hold our baby close. Our puppy sniffed him too and said his goodbyes. Then she came back, and she asked us if we wanted to be the ones to carry him out or she was happy to do so. My husband carried him, myself and our puppy followed along -- felt like a procession down our apartment hallway. We got to Dr. Gonzalez's car, and we gently placed our baby's body in her car, and said our goodbyes again. Then...it was done. Throughout the experience, Dr. Gonzalez was so incredibly supportive, gentle, understanding, and patient. What else can you ask for when such a heartbreaking thing is occurring? When a spirit is literally fading in your arms? I am still not over losing him, but at least I know we gave him the most peaceful send-off we could: in his own home, in our arms, surrounded by so much love. If / when we need to go through again, I will continue to call on Dr. Gonzalez. RIP Nuxx.
