Joy had been living with an amazing foster family in Taiwan who clearly invested time and love. She arrived knowing sit and stay, comfortable with people, children, and ready to bond. That foundation made our first weeks smooth and joyful (pun intended). As a parent, I appreciate how Tina knew what's best for the dog and the family. The foster model and careful matching really show. Joy is gentle, eager to learn, and an instant best friend for our household. My daughter Olivia was asked to add her own words: "We found a perfect dog because of ABC. The fosters taught Joy so well with sit and stay! If someone is looking for a forever dog I definitely recommend ABC!! They put the dog in a foster family so they can know what it's like to have a family. The fosters teach regular English commands like sit & stay (they are awesome at that!). ABC is awesome!!" Thank you, Tina @ ABC, for the love and structure you pour into rescue. You didn't just place a dog; you helped build a family. -- Matthew & Olivia (and Joy!)

The folks there really know their stuff--they asked us all about our home life to ensure it'd be perfect for him. Hachi arrived healthy, vaccinated, and ready to roll. He took to our home instantly, plays fetch like a pro, and settles down without a fuss at night. They're not just rescuing dogs; they're carefully matching them with loving families like ours. Big thanks--you've changed our lives for the better and literally saved our new pup's life!

Amanda is very responsive, and is also "tuned in" to the dogs, their dispositions, what would make a good home, etc. I read a less than positive review about the application process, and it is obvious that whoever wrote it had limited experience with the process of adopting a rescue. It can be time consuming, competitive, and requires diligence. When it comes to Might Mutts, they are reviewing every application, setting up appointments, and dedicating a TON of time to making sure these precious dogs get to the right homes. It is very honorable-and I would recommend them and their organization to anyone.

In our case, we have two kids, and really wanted to make sure the dog was a good match before we introduced them. That model isn't a great fit for shelters where they (understandably) want the whole family to meet the dog, and won't place a hold to let grownups prescreen first. Not so with Underdog! We completed our initial form, had an email exchange, and then a video call, just grownups. There was no rush, and absolutely no pressure - such a wonderful difference from what we'd experienced elsewhere. Once we felt like this was a good fit, we included the kids. Our foster was incredible. She was responsive, caring, kind, and compassionate, and it totally opened our eyes to how this process can go when it is handled so skillfully. Moreover, she gave us a fabulous download of information, all super actionable and helpful. We came home with healthy, realistic expectations, and tons of tools and resources to get us started. All this is to say, thanks to Underdog, we got connected with our pup - and our family is completely in love.

But the thing that keeps bringing me back to Linda is the fact that she really cares about my dog. I know when Dazzle is with her she gets taken care of AND she gets love and attention. Linda takes care of Dazzle on a regular basis from daytime only stays when I work to 2 day stays when I have to travel for work, to 10 day stays when I go on vacation. She is friendly and easy to like. She is professional, her house is always clean, and the dogs in her care always look happy and well cared for. When a dog has particular needs (food, behavior training, medication administration, outdoor time, etc.) she always accommodates these needs and builds them into her plan of care for the dog. The telltale sign that Dazzle is well cared for and loved is the way Dazzle runs to her with a wagging tale when I drop her off. Linda Taylor gives A+ care to dogs!!

I am not interested in a kennel that is going to keep the dogs in cages all day and only let them out for an hour or two. I also had a lot of apprehension about leaving him with a complete stranger (I am very picky about who I will trust with my dog). But when I found Sara I felt 100% comfortable with having her watch my beloved long-haired chihuahua, Mo. She boards pets in her home so it is as close to their normal environment as possible. She also tries to keep their normal routines (sleeping, eating, etc.) consistent. When I dropped Mo off he was so excited to have other dogs to play with that he didn't even notice when I left. I wanted to explain to Sara that Mo has a collapsing trachea and what to expect but she already knew - very impressive! She really knows her stuff which put me at ease. I was also glad that she lets customers pick their dogs up until 11 pm which took some of the strain off of our travel schedule and saved us from having to pay for another night (although her rates are very reasonable). When we picked Mo up I was pretty sure that he would have rather stayed with Sara! I know that he had a great time playing with other dogs, going to dog parks, taking long walks, and playing at the beach. He was exhausted (but in a good way). Normally I would feel guilty about leaving him but this was like a vacation for him as well! Boarding my dog with Sara took all of the stress out of my vacation and I am definitely going to utilize her services in the future.

I immediately trusted her with my two dogs. Sara is very well organized and meticulous about all aspects of her business and her relationships with her clients -- and of course with the furry ones. She organizes the walking groups according to temperament and size, and doesn't accept poorly socialized dogs. Unlike the so-called walkers you see with way too many dogs all leashed together in a tangled mess, Sara never exceeds the legal limit because she wants to ensure the safety of the group (and other people/dogs) and the quality of the OFF LEASH walk. She also does basic training exercises, cleans the dogs when she delivers them home, keeps photo blogs and videos of the walks, and overall gives them a tremendous amount of love and friendship. If I could, I would have Sara spend time with the dogs every day. They love going on her walks and actually anticipate her visits! I have no doubt that the time they've spent with her has made them happier and healthier.
