Bree has a lot of experience and is great with animals! Our cats are usually pretty shy, but she was able to check on them for us while we traveled and got to see how much they opened up and loved having Bree around! Would highly recommend her service for any pet sitting needs. read more

Bree took such great care of our cats, Norma Jean and Jackson. We were away for a few weeks and never worried about them. She communicates often with videos and photos. So fun to see how well they are doing. They can play, relax and sleep anywhere in her home. Bree has a special connection with animals, we will be using her services again when we travel in 2026. read more

We feel so lucky to have found Bree to board our senior cat, Scout. Traveling has always been stressful for us because Scout needs inhalers, medication, and extra special care, but Bree gave us complete peace of mind. She is responsive, communicative, and sends great updates that reassure us Scout is safe, comfortable, and happy while we're away. The sweetest part is seeing the connection Scout and Bree have formed -- Scout truly loves being with her. We couldn't recommend Bree more highly! read more

Great pet sitting service for my dog! Bree really cares and gets to know your pet and provides a great spot for them while your away.

Thanks so much, Bree, for taking such great care of our dog! From step one, the attention to detail was obvious which put our mind at ease as it was our first time having to leave him with a stranger in a long time. But Bree made sure she didn't feel like a stranger for long! And, throughout our trip her communication was frequent without feeling overwhelming. We loved all the photos and videos. She clearly has a passion for what she does beyond just making a living. read more

Bree is an absolute gem of a pet sitter--trustworthy, thoughtful, and truly devoted to animals. She has cared for our cat during both quick weekend trips and longer vacations over the past 7 years, and we could not imagine leaving our furry family member in better hands. For short getaways, Bree comes to our home to feed, play with, and check in on our cat--and we always return to a tidy home and a very content pet. For longer travels, she keeps our cat at her home, which has become a kind of second home for her! One of the things we appreciate most is Bree's communication--she always sends quick photos or videos while we're away, which gives us tremendous peace of mind. It's clear she genuinely loves animals, and her warmth and attentiveness show in every interaction. Bree is also extremely trustworthy--we have zero hesitation giving her access to our home. She is respectful, responsible, and reliable in every way. If you're looking for someone who will treat your pet like family, look no further. Bree is the best of the best! read more

Bree was very communicative, I received updates on my little buddy everyday and videos so I was reassured about her during the whole boarding process. My cat wasn't good with strangers and Bree was extremely patient with her still, I would recommend anyone to leave their pet with Bree. read more

Bree took amazing care of our cat Millie while we were away for a week. Within minutes of us dropping Millie off, we could tell she was comfortable with Bree. Bree sent updates and videos for us, showing Millie sun bathing, looking out a window, and getting cuddles. She took care to brush Millie and provided helpful suggestions for heathy cat food. It's clear Bree truly loves animals and wants to provide the best care for them. It was so reassuring for us to know Millie was in such good and caring hands while we were away! We will definitely call up Bree next time Millie needs boarding, and would recommend Bree without hesitation. read more

As soon as we adopted our kitten (Nori), I worried about who would care for her while we were away. I knew from my initial conversation with Bree that Nori would be safe and loved. We looked forward to the updates and videos each day of our trip. We saw that Nori was *extremely* happy and secure. We are so lucky to have found Bree! read more

The owner, Bree, has been our dog Abby's second Mother for almost two years now. She is so loved by our dog, and us, because of the affection she gives our Scotty. Love is important when one chooses a pet sitter, but trust is equally important and we trust Bree 100% to give our girl the safest most loving care available. Don't hesitate to call Claws and Paws for your pet sitting needs. read more

I was searching Yelp and found myself so lucky to find Bree with Claws and Paws Pet Boarding and Housesitting. I initiated an inquiry with a request for cat boarding with dates, and Bree responded very quickly via email. After establishing her availability, we set up a call to chat. During the call she inquired about my cat's habits, needs, and any additional info that we wanted her to know about caring for my cat Boba. Just from the call, I felt at ease about booking with Bree and she did not disappoint. We booked a 5-day stay and when we picked him up he did not want to leave. Throughout the time we were away Bree made sure to send us pics and videos which we consented to. It fills my heart with joy to know we have Bree (when she's available) when we have to leave Boba for trips. Can't recommend her enough !! read more

Bree has tended to our cat Sneakers a number of times over the past several years and always gives her lots of TLC and sends us daily photos and videos. We recently needed to board Sneakers with Bree and our kitty was definitely pampered! Lots of cat beds and comfy places to sleep plus great windows to watch birds and sunbathe. But the best part was loads of affection and play time! And we received many photos and videos from Bree. read more

Bree was amazing with my kitten Enzo. It was the first time we left him alone for the weekend and Bree made sure to update us with pictures and even brought a laser to play with him. Enzo loved having Bree over and we will keep calling her every time we travel. Thank you so much Bree! read more

I am sure Bree has been great to others but I have been disappointed in basic communication and follow-up ahead of boarding our cat with her. We won't be doing so. The hesitation on the phone around simple questions and not returning either my email (across 4 weeks) or outstanding phone queries is poor form. Would be easier if Bree said she had no capacity rather than hash a response with no follow-up. (I'm now led to wonder how our beloved pet would have fared if we actually placed her here.) read more

Bree is awesome! She is a friendly, outgoing person who really cares about her furry clients and their owners - the daily videos she sends showed our cat Reggie, who is wary of strangers and new situations, playing and snuggling with her in her cozy apartment. I appreciated that she came to the house in advance of the stay to meet Reggie, and ask about any special needs, etc. Communication was excellent throughout. Highly recommended!! read more

Bree is wonderful! She has been a house + cat sitter for us several times. Frankie (cat) loves her and Bree does a wonderful job managing his indoor/outdoor schedule. She does a great job keeping an eye on the house. Bree truly cares about Frankie, even though she knows him well, she always touches base before we go out of town to make sure she's got any updates on his schedule, likes/dislikes, etc. And, while we're away, she keeps us updated on how he is doing with daily videos or pictures. We feel 100% comfortable leaving Frankie and our house in Bree's capable hands when we go out of town and are so thankful to have found her! read more

We boarded our cat with Bree during a 2.5 week overseas trip. Bree was an excellent cat sitter and our cat (who can be shy with strangers) bonded with her quickly. As this was our first time boarding our cat with Bree, and it was a lengthy stay, Bree came to our house ahead of time to meet our cat and make sure they would be a good fit-- and we talked at length about our cat's behaviors, preferences and quirks. After we dropped our cat off for boarding, Bree sent daily photos and videos to keep us posted on how she was doing. After a couple of days of warming up, our cat settled right in and was very comfortable and happy at Bree's cozy apartment with its big patio window. Would highly recommend Bree if you need to board your cat in a loving home. read more

Bree Brown has been caring for Ava and Burma our two Siamese cats from their days as rambunctious teenagers to today's Medicare eligible senior citizens. Bree is a fantastic cat sitter for our two furry family members. She only allows them to socialize with the good kids, no pizza or fast food nor late night neighborhood carousing! Bree is conscientious, reliable and responsive to last minute requests. Bree has our strongest endorsement and will treat your pets as if they were her own. read more

Horrible experience. Had some questions right before the reservation, which I never received a response to. But, it was too late to find an alternative. And, then it was next to impossible to reach her during the trip. read more

Bree has watched our cat several times over the last year and she is exceptional. She's professional, reliable, kind, and thoughtful. Our six cats give Claws & Paws a high five rating to Bree Brown who is by far the best cat sitter we have ever had. She sincerely cares about our cats as if they were her own. Bree was just wonderful keeping us informed about each and every one as well as pictures of them while we were away. When Bree came to visit with us after pet sitting our six fur babies my cat Mia , would not leave her side and that said it all for us. We now don't worry about leaving them as we know they are in excellent hands. read more

Bree was an exceptional cat sitter for my orange boy, Oliver. She's very easy to communicate with, responds quickly, and provides thoughtful updates. You can tell she genuinely loves her job and takes great care of all her animals. I was very lucky to find Bree because I had last minute changes to my schedule, around the holidays, and she went above-and-beyond to accommodate Oliver into her already busy schedule. I couldn't be more thankful to have found such a wonderful and caring cat-sitter on such short notice. She quickly scheduled an in-person meet and greet, had a very streamlined and thoughtful checklist, and my usually shy Oliver felt comfortable with her immediately. I'll definitely reach out to Bree / Claws and Paws anytime I need a cat-sitter and cannot recommend her enough! read more

Our ragdoll kitten Kaya is very social and doesn't like to be alone. Bree was a godsend when we found her as she offers boarding services at her home in addition to sitting (from my searches this type of service seems to be rare in the Bay Area - most places that offer boarding place cats in small enclosed spaces with relatively little personal attention). Since she only boards one pet at a time, she can provide them with lots of attention and care. When boarding with Bree, we received daily photos and updates which were much appreciated and reassured us that she was doing great! She came home happy and healthy. We'll definitely be relying on Bree again when we travel! read more

Bree is such a wonderful cat sitter! She is so attentive to our two cats - one that is very friendly and the other who is more shy and skittish. Bree is also very professional - she is meticulous and sent updates everyday on how our cats were doing while we were on vacation. We'll definitely have Bree cat sit for us again! Thanks Bree! read more

Bree is a cat whisperer. She anticipated every need for my elderly (and very vocal) old lady, Patches. I could travel knowing that Patches was taken care of and, in fact, given organic steamed chicken and lots of hugs and play time!! Bree is a wonderful person and I recommend her without reservation for all your pet sitting needs. read more

Bree works wonders, and truly cares about the wellbeing of her clients. She was even able to make friends with the shier of my two cats, which is pretty amazing. I love that I receive regular updates from Bree while I'm away, including photos of my pets. Overall, Bree is trustworthy, reliable and communicative. Highly recommend! read more

Bree was a life saver for my cats. She cat-sat for my two little furry balls for a week, and I couldn't be any happier. My cats really liked her, she seemed to care about them and listen to their needs in a very loving way. She shared daily updates with photos every day and made suggestions to help with one of my cats' dieting issues. I highly recommend her!! read more

I purchased a gift certificate for Claws & Paws' services via our school auction. Only after it arrived did I discover she did not list our neighborhood in her area of coverage. When I inquired what I should do, she told me she would lose money coming out to my neighborhood and I should give the certificate to someone else. I would have tipped her well for coming out of her way (and maybe I should have said exactly that in my email to her), but I'm not throwing away any more money. Allowing someone into your home when you're away -- someone to care for your pets -- requires trust. I trusted that the certificate I bought was worth something, but it is not. I see that Yelp is offering a discount coupon for her services now. Buyer, beware! Do not spend the money until you've confirmed she will honor the coupon. read more

I've been relying on the pet sitting provided by Bree Brown and Claws and Paws for many years now. She is reliable, responsible and available when I need her, sometimes with very short notice. Just contracted Bree's services for the first time and i will never worry about having to leave our cat alone again. One week away, an elderly cat who needs meds twice a day, a cat who also gets a little feisty when the owner is away....and everything went great. We got updates throughout the week and our cat was calm and happy to see us when we got home. Bree spends time with you to get to know your habits and your pet's and it feels like she really enjoys getting to know them. read more

Bree loves animals. She walked my dog for several years before my dog passed away late last Summer. The love she showed my dog was so genuine and I was happy to have her in Bree's care. Oftentimes, people are either dog people or cat people but Bree is both. I also have a cat. The cat is not the friendliest but she would always come out to greet Bree and appreciated all the love Bree would give her. Aside from the daily dog walks, Bree would occasionally pet sit for me. While I was only paying her to walk my dog for 20 minutes and give my cat just "a little love", she would wind up staying for much longer. This always made traveling emotionally easier because I knew my pets were getting a good amount of attention and love in my absence. read more

My girlfriend and I had to go out of town for ten days, but my cat needed medication twice a day for a hyperthyroid condition. Bree was great - very friendly when she came to meet him and us, and very thoughtful. She clearly made an effort to, and was very mindful of, forming a bond with him, and sent us regular updates on her visits, and on how he was doing with his medication. I would definitely recommend Bree to anyone looking for a sitter for their pet! read more

I've been using Bree as my cat's substitute Chief of Staff for many years now. She has been excellent. Before I travel, Bree is always confirms my cat's likes, dislikes and various requirements (feeding times and so on). She's always great at communicating how everything is going. Basically, I can trust my cat (as well as my place) is well taken care of while I travel. Highly recommend. read more

I have had Bree take care of my cats for several years now. The boys love her and I don't have to worry about them while I'm away. When I get home the kitties are happy and don't seem stressed at all. (Not always the case with previous cat sitters) She very clearly cares about them and they have been comfortable with her since the start. I love that she sends photos so I get to see my fur babies while I'm away. read more

One reason my wife and I don't travel together much is that we have anxiety about leaving our three demanding cats. They have very specific requirements and needs or so we like to think. We interviewed several cat sitters and realized we needed someone that would stay at our house versus just coming by twice a day. We felt good about engaging Bree. She related well to the cats. She's an obvious cat person plus she was thorough with getting the details down. We were fortunate that we had internet access on our trip. Bree emailed us daily with updates and questions. She also went above and beyond what we expected by recommending alternative types of food for our finicky eater plus a great brush to comb them with plus advise about caring for them. She is a professional when it comes to cats and respected her advise. We would definitely use her again. read more

Bree is an expert when it comes to cat care. She is well versed in nutrition, play and what contributes to an all around happy & healthy cat. She has watched my cat Tank and is respectful and very thorough. I especially appreciate her text and photo updates. I would recommend Bree to anyone interested in her services. read more

We have used Bree as a cat-and-sometimes-house sitter for nearly three years, for periods from three days to three weeks. We've been totally satisfied with Bree. We've trusted her not only with our beloved indoor-only cat, but with our house, plants, mail, etc. She's always been conscientious, professional and reliable. You have to have a special personality for this profession, and Bree has it! She adores and understands cats AND dogs (all animals, come to think of it), and they seem to return the favor. Our kitty is very shy and skittish, but Bree had her literally eating out of her hand within a day. Bree is also good at keeping in touch--reassuring us about our cat's well-being, giving us peace of mind. I recommend her without reservation. read more

I reached out to Claws & Paws during the holidays - I desperately needed to find someone to watch my kitty during a very last minute Christmas to New Year's Day trip. I got a professional response right away. She was able to help with daily pet sitting, but I found another option (for in-home care) right after and didn't end up needing her help. Based on our interaction, if/when I do need a pet sitter, Claws and Paws will be the first company I contact. Rates were reasonable (even during the holidays, when many have exorbitant pricing), plus this is a local small business owner who seems to offer more personalization and one on one care than the larger companies. She also seems to genuinely care about animals in the area, as a frequent contributor and helper with local animal issues on nextdoor. read more
