Finding the resort is probably the worst thing you'll come across. Seems as if a few hotels have combined to form Pacific Bay. We were directed by Wyndham reception on where to park and how to access our room at Novotel. The room is privately owned so when our check in time of 2pm came my partner received a text from the owner to let her know when we arrived, to text when we leave and to let her know if we needed anything. We found the key with it's safe box open. The room was still locked though and we advised it may be broken.
After settling we went for a couples massage by an independently owned Beauty salon located in the hotel. There are 3 very nice pools, 3 tennis courts, a large gym, basketball court, golf course, aqua golf. I actually could keep going. The resort has everything. You don't need to leave. Back at reception there is Charlie's restaurant. A 3 part restaurant with proper 3 course meals, bar and bar food if after something casual and a grab it and go menu to take away. I spied some of the dishes when waiting for our pick up order. Looked delicious and very well presented.
Now for the room. Eccentric, peculiar, a little old fashioned and bird themed. It grew on me though and felt more homely than your average hotel room. Even the giant gallah framed over the bed became part of the charm. A small balcony overlooked the aqua golf pond. It was cosy with blankets inside if it gets cool but the chairs, cushions, rails and floor could use a clean. read more
