My last appointment you would have thought I was the scum of the earth. Not only did Hablitzel tear me a new one he did it in front of patients and staff. I have been homeless, sick from health issues and it's all in my chart. He did not care about that as he was not trauma informed by the way he spoke to me. Regardless of my challenges... a medical professional should never ever treat anyone like that. I do hope he understands how detrimental it is to treat someone like that especially since has the power. Mental health is important in the health field. His behavior was gross and discriminatory. Work was good, however their billing department needs a lot of work. I received a lot of dental work over two years from this dental place for thousands of dollars out of pocket, not counting the insurance. Every time I went, they reassured me and seemed to understand how my insurance plan worked with coverage, including maximums. I received my last treatment from them in March, 2022, and paid $800 out of pocket, with insurance covering the rest. I thought that would be the end of it, as I was moving away to the other side of the country. Then I receive a bill for almost $500 four months later in late July without any prior notice. They told me that I was "at my maximum" that insurance was covered and that nothing was paid for the last service. This is contrary to the maximums that insurance would cover as I double checked. In addition, they quoted me the insurance and I was below the maximum. So I contacted them confused about the situation. The representative refuses to give me receipts or documents other than dated in July for the estimates and the original services provided to verify the costs. In short, do not do business with Pacific Avenue Dental, unless you want a surprise bill for hundreds of dollars months later, especially when you don't have the means to dispute it and get answers in person because you are moving. read more

I had the best experience I was a nervous wreck when I got to my first appointment and it took about 10 minutes with Heidi the dental assistant and I was calm and felt I was in good hands. I suffer from Hashimotos autoimmune disease and because of this my anxiety is terrible, so I was scared and she took all the anxiety away. I finally met with the dentist... what a nice man... he actually listened and heard what I had to say and needed. I feel extremely blessed to have been lucky enough to find this gem. read more

Linda the receptionist is very accommodating and nice. Rhea the hygienist also put justice on her job. I never felt so much comfortable on having my teeth clean. She gave me great advices on how I properly take care of my teeth. She took her time to thoroughly clean my teeth. Which I must say, amazingly job well done on her part!!! In addition, Dr. Hablutzel is very professional and approachable. I feel totally relaxed in venting out all my concern with my teeth. Great place and kid friendly. I have had bad experiences with other dentists in the past. I am so thankful to have found Pacific Dental & Dr Hablutzel! The staff was really friendly and informative. I was hurting really bad from an exposed nerve. Had no dental insurance & no money. The receptionist gave me a pamphlet for CareCredit which I didnt think I would be approved for but I was! She also offered to help me choose the right dental plan for me when open enrollment came at work. They got me in that day to get my tooth pulled. I have had several teeth pulled in the past but this one was painless & is felling great even though it was done just yesterday. The assistant was really friendly and caring as well as the dentist. Not only did he pull the tooth but he also told me what I needed to do to fix a problem I was having with my gums. Then they called to check up on me today to make sure I was doing ok. They are so nice here but really I want to comment on Dr. Hablutzel. His way with people is the reason I got all my work done within a month! My teeth were in bad shape but he treated me as if they were fine (other than repairing all the damage) The atmosphere of this office is positive and caring. This is my response to this dentist comment on my review... As you can see he has disclosed certain details of my chart which is suppose to be confidential which is breaking the HIPPA law. Again proving that he has no accountability ! Dr H. You are really are creating hostility with your practice... I do know enough about your practice to know this is pure negligence on your behalf. Why do you think you have fired some of your staff and most of your staff has left! No one feels comfortable working for you and your non accountable ways! You have to bully someone who writes a negative review about your practice when you know very well every time I went in there you blew me off. On the tooth in question you could not see the fracture from the x-ray until it became severely infected and you can see deterioation around my gum line not to mention the abscess on the front and back of the tooth. I had to get a CAT scan to see that I had a fractured tooth. As for putting it off your office never sent over my information and I had to repeatedly call the specialist to get it going... That was not just one specialist that was just to get the CAT scan. Then your office failed to send my information to the specialist who surgically removed my tooth. Again I had to call them and wait until they received the required information to do the procedure. In fact I had told one of your assistance there that I was still waiting for them to send it over and she told you... She also told you how upset I was with your negligence! I don't feel I need to explain myself to you and please stop contacting me... A real professional wouldn't blame the patient over and over again! They would show some accountability on a problem you failed to address because you over book and your patients only get a few short minutes after waiting long periods of times for you to examine them. So you possibly wouldn't know if my tooth had come to this degree without proper examining instead of assuming that I just need my bite reset. That tooth had a crown on it there is no way I could of grind or clenched it to deterioation with a crown! Who are you trying to convince people reading this review or yourself? Obviously you know I am right because you keep trying to contact me and blame me for this issue! So unprofessional.... You best stop while you're ahead... I am getting my tooth fixed and spending thousands of dollars to do that... I have cut ties with you which I should of done years ago...
