This truck parks on Wilshire most nights in Ktown, and living nearby I found myself here several nights. After watching a movie and heading down Wilshire we pulled over at this taco truck for midnight munchies. I ordered the California Burrito with all the fixings. These can be a hit or miss and the reason is that they usually serve me these burritos luke warm when I just received it. The flavor was good but again what turned me off was that it was luke warm. I've been coming here for 10 years. Today is my last day. The cashier is new. She's rude, short with her words, racist, and horrible. She first let others cut in front of me because I'm not Latino. Then I try to order a burrito, and before I can finish my order she cuts me off and tells me $12. I've never had this experience before. After I get my food, I respectfully ask her "Did I do something wrong with the way I ordered?" She snaps at me and doesn't answer my question instead saying the person in front of me asked for 3 (of something). I ask her again. She responds. "18 hour shift". As if that's an excuse. Then she proceeds to try to talk smack about me in Spanish to her coworker cook as if I can't understand (I'm not Latinx). I've been supporting this small family owned business for 10 years. The owner knows who I am, as I get food here all the time. But honestly this is my last day. I'm so disgusted I'm not even hungry anymore that I just threw my burrito away. read more

Food wasn't too mind blowing. Chicken could use a little more seasoning. Green salsa is amazing though! The cashier needs to work on her customer service. There is no reason why an attitude should be given as I'm coming up to place my order. She also shouldn't be snapping at people when they ask simple dietary questions. If she doesn't like her job maybe look elsewhere that doesn't have to do with dealing with customers. read more

It was good but just missing a few things. Got DoorDash from here a couple days ago so service etc can't be really said for. We both got burritos that while authentic and very clean in flavors just was missing that oomph and seasonings we come to expect with our Mexican food growing up. The chips though were slapping! Definitely think the prices and portions were standard to above average but it's just the plainer taste that has me stumped. The salsa too had the same clean quality but wasn't anything pushing my buds to it. Will need to go here again in person to complete this review but as of now it's just 2 steps away from really hitting. read more

Sorry but It's a no for me. The service was pleasant nice family run business but the food isn't giving anything. Ordered the asada fries and an Al pastor taco and a shrimp taco. On the side we also ordered an horchata. I knew the place was questionable as soon as I took a sip from the horchata. ZERO FLAVOR I mean none. The Al pastor had no flavor at all either. The shrimp taco was unseasoned and garnished with iceberg lettuce. The asada fries were mid lacked flavor as well. I never throw food away but I did with the food from here. I figured why bother taking it home it won't heat well anyways but my suggestion is go elsewhere .... read more

One of my favorite taco trucks in LA! Great quality and lots of options and the workers are super nice, I usually do a torta or the Cali burrito, I also love it bc it is open late. Only thing is it can be hard for parking if u are driving since it's Wilshire and western. Otherwise I do recommend you stop and try it! I used to live in the area and go all the time after work but unfortunately moved a little farther. Miss it! read more

Asada fries were good. They give skinny fries and do a good job of slathering guacamole, crema, onions and seared beef and beef fat all over. The red salsa is nice but not spicy enough. I liked that the salsa verde was more tangy than tart. When I first walked over I didn't see the truck, but 10 after 7pm a red-orange truck peeled out from a small street and swerved into parallel parking. Wow, I thought to myself, this better be the best asada fries ever. read more

Been coming here since 2015. A solid place, but even better when paired with a drunken night. They're parked on Wilshire, next to Luna apartments. If you're close by, I'd say this is one of the better Mexican places you can get without having to drive a few miles. While they don't have anything that is amazing or spectacular, each item on the menu is pretty decent or good. You really can't go wrong with any (or actually, most) of the items on their menu. I sometimes ask to custom make my burritos, which they're cool with. I'll add shrimp to my california burrito for a few dollars more, so it's a surf and turf burrito. read more

They happen to be in front of the Ralph's on a rainy afternoon. I got an al pastor burrito the size of a small dog. It was delicious. The staff were super friendly. A great value in these expensive times. My only regret is they don't normally visit this neighborhood. read more

Ordered a veggie burrito, was starving and really looking forward to it. Sounded good. Got it and it was terrible. Like the worst burrito I've ever had and I've had alot of burritos in my life. It was nothing like it said it was. It was basically 85% rice and 15% lettuce AND THAT WAS IT! Sooooooo disappointing. I won't go back to this place ever. Chips were stale too, burrito was dry as a bone. I'm just gonna toss it in the trash. Horchata wasn't bad thou. Too bad they only had one small size. I mean really??? Food (1): I come from a hispanic community. I got chorizo, fish and al pastor tacos. Each one disappointing. I usually don't get fish, but I figure I try it out. It wasn't too bad, but it wasn't amazing either. As for the chorizo, it tasted just like fried fat and that was it. I am a big chorizo fan and I didn't get the good flavor of a chorizo from it. The same as the al pastor, it felt too dry. I expect food trucks to be better than restaurants like King Taco. That was clearly not the case. Service (3): They got the food out at a reasonable time. Ambiance (3): It's a typical taco truck next to the metro, but there is nothing really scenic around the area. Price (3): Pretty reasonable prices for the tacos. read more

You know when you travel and wished there was a taco truck outside the hotel open late at night? Well my wish came true!!! Home style authentic Mexican food! We had chicken nachos and steak tacos! After delayed flights, I didn't get into my hotel until almost midnight and wanted something to eat. I walked out to Wilshire and saw the Pachecos food truck and decided to go get something. There were others in line, so it had to be good...right? I ordered the Asada Torta, for $8, and it was delicious! Great bread, fresh cut avocado, tasty asada, and the guys in the truck were super nice. Fresh made salsas/sauces were available and also were great. read more

I always get the super burrito (comes with nachos) carne asada. Every time I come here, the burrito is consistently tasty and fresh. They usually have your typical hot sauce and green spicy sauce that you can put into small containers. Solid place compared to other taco trucks I've been to in ktown. read more

I also like how the restaurant handles crowd control. They allow a couple of people at a time to go inside, order, and get their condiments. You wait outside until they call you for your food. The al pastor, I think uses a fattier cut than some other places but keeps it from drying out. The tacos were leaking meat juices still. The surrounding streets are quite dark at night but the parking lot the stand is in, is well lit and there is a covered seating area. We went on Thanksgiving weekend and there were maybe always 15-20 ppl in line at any given time. I imagine there are longer lines in the summer.

Very good pricing ($2.5 per taco and $3 for a medium sized horchata). Bring cash. They also accept zelle or card (for an additional fee). I keep coming back here so of course I would definitely recommend!

I've never found a mexican spot that does this, not to mention the food is so fresh and so delicious. I call it a baby burrito but what you'll want to order is the 1/2 pound Mar y Tierra burrito, lol. I'm not sure if they do 1/2 pound with all burritos but I will ask & update this review next time I go back which will be very soon as it's my new go-to Mexican spot in West LA. I also got the shrimp taco which was spectacular. The guy at the front is super kind, and the ambiance is calm. The salsa that comes with your food is incredible and I can taste the freshness. On my can't-miss list!

No indoor dining was available since they were closing in 15 mins. Food was ready in less than 10 mins. Salsa is free which both were delicious and had great flavor. Overall the food was delicious! It hit the spot. Filled with meat and the tortillas were a hit on their own. I would definitely go back again and try the other items that they had to offer.

It's a cool casual vibe here. Seating inside as well as the patio. They have tasty looking horchata and other agua frescas. Colorful walls. They bring your food out to you by calling your name. The tacos were loaded with a pretty decent amount of meat and toppings. But sadly we were far from impressed by the flavor. The asada was okay and better than the tripa, but it paled in comparison to our go-to taco trucks in the area which only costs $1. And the tripa was strange to eat in taco form. The tripa is crunchy small pieces so it just feels odd to eat in a taco. Maybe if it was just served as an appetizer to eat by itself, but even then, it kinda just feels like you're eating pellets. Don't see the hype unfortunately.
