I will continue to go here to get haircuts and shaves FOREVER!! Let me start off with my first impression upon walking in. The shop is very, very clean and tidy (as you can tell by my posted pictures). They have nice decorations on the wall that make the shop very nice looking. I told Jonathan I'd bring him one of my old Texas license plates (as I'm from Texas) to add to his collection. As I patiently waited for Jeremy to become available, I noticed a lady paying cash for the haircut her son had just received. I asked if they took credit cards; Jonathan (chair next to Jeremy) said they only do cash business as of recently. So; I went to the local Gas station ATM (Dodge's) to get cash. The total cost I knew I was going to pay for my haircut and hot lather shave was going to be $25.00; I got $40 out just I case I decided to tip in the end; which I most certainly did. The first thing Jeremy said I was gonna get was the hot lather shave. After putting the barber apron on me, he leaned me back in the reclining barber chair and put this hot lathering shaving cream on my face. I noticed after he put it all on that the cream started having a menthol feel to it; that was very nice. After letting it sit on my face for about 2-3 minutes he put on another round of hot cream on. After the second application of the hot menthol cream, he wrapped my face up with a hot towel; Wow..... What a feeling indeed! The hot wrap sat on my face for a good 5 minutes. He didn't just wrap my face once, but three times. It was the most relaxed feeling I've had in a long while. While I was relaxing with my face all wrapped up in this hot towel, I heard a kid next to me talking to Jonathan. This young kid, maybe 16 years old, is going thru some difficult family issues. To my surprise, I heard Jonathan starting a nice prayer to the Lord our GOD; It was a beautiful prayer. I was so impressed with Jonathan saying a prayer for this young kid that it brought a warm feeling all over my body; I can't really explain the feeling! It's actually bringing a tear to my eyes as I'm writing this. We all talked about it after my shave was over. These guys are Awesum indeed! As for the haircut itself? The best haircut I've probably ever received! They actually use thinning scissors to thin the hair out! I have not had that done since I was a kid! I'm use to most barbers just using the clippers; which really don't do that great of a job. After Jeremy completed all, which took about 45 minutes to an hour (could have been longer as I didn't really pay attention to the clock) I stayed just a little bit longer to take pictures of the three amigos; Travis, Jeremy, and Jonathan... or just call him John (a nice bible name). I know this is a pretty long review; so, If your reading this now... Thank you for taking the time to read it all. These guys are Great! I can't give them enough praise for being the GOD fearing and loving people they are. Do yourself a favor and get your haircut and shave done here! I found out it has been there since the 40's and on its 4th owner who sees the simplicity of a barber shop. Price is great, only $17 for the cut (most places are charging $45-$55) for a man's haircut which if you are getting a simple fade that is outrageous. They do take card and are open 7 days a week. Glad I found this spot in town and will be my regular for my son and I!!

But this place is open until 6pm. Had the pleasure of having my hair cut very well by Christopher, the owner. He's only there on Saturday because he works a full time job. He's a very pleasant fellow and he did since job - attention to detail by trimming my eyebrows and cutting where the hair grows down my neck, then wipes with a scented towel. I'm used to paying $15, so the $20 was an adjustment- but that's ok because I also think my hair looks better than it did when I paid $15. Bottom line - I look forward to returning.
