I was in pretty bad shape, with bruises and swollen face, after basic first aid, on a Sunday, I called Signature Dental group stating my emergency, Dr. Shakeel was quick to respond and put me on medication. Dr.Shakeel made arrangements for an emergency checkup on Monday itself. The Entire staff was very friendly and caring, I visited the group and Linda took my x rays with care. Dr. Shakeel, had done a few procedures on me, worked my root canal, and took care of an infected broken tooth. All this in one Monday Afternoon. He was like a magician, performing every act professionally and meticulously. I was hopeless on Sunday but walked out of Signature Dental group with great confidence on Monday Evening. The Pain Reduced, and I was able to get back to work on Tuesday in Indianapolis! Bruises faded slowly over the week, the best part is I'm feeling normal and going back to Chicago soon for a follow-up. I Highly Recommend anyone in Chicago to visit Dr. Shakeel.

I made it clear I didn't want or feel the need for x-rays, and as a patient, it's my right to refuse them--plain and simple. Informed consent and patient autonomy are basic rights in healthcare, yet this office treated me like I had no say. They wouldn't even perform the cleaning without forcing x-rays on me first. No real explanation beyond "policy," no discussion of alternatives, and zero respect for my decision. This feels like nothing more than a blatant cash grab--pushing unnecessary radiation exposure and extra billing instead of focusing on actual patient care. The staff couldn't (or wouldn't) explain anything properly; they just see patients as dollar signs. Poor communication, zero empathy, and a complete disregard for patient rights. Signature Dental Group (and their "gentle" approach--ironic) is a joke. I will never return, and I strongly advise anyone reading this to go elsewhere. Find a dentist who actually listens to patients and respects their choices instead of strong-arming them into procedures. Save your time and money--avoid this place at all costs.

Even when it came to the billing portion, I was met with professionalism and the utmost courtesy from the office manager Madelyn (again very sorry if spelling is wrong). Something about the consultation made me feel uncomfortable, and I had serious doubts about their recommendations. Thankfully, I trusted my instincts and decided to get a second and third opinion. To my surprise, both other dental professionals told me that I did not need bone grafts and that I was actually a candidate for All-on-4 dental implants. What shocked me even more was that Aspen Dental quoted me nearly the same price for dentures as I was quoted elsewhere for All-on-4 implants! Based on my experience, I felt that Aspen Dental was more focused on making money than genuinely caring about my dental health and well-being. Dental procedures are already stressful, emotional, and expensive. Patients deserve honesty, compassion, and treatment recommendations that are truly in their best interest. This is a husband and wife dental team that hired a staff of experts and are really doing dentistry at its highest level. Came to Dr. Walia for a cleaning/bi-annual checkup. Upon arrival, I was informed she had no…read morehygienist, which was shocking to me. I naively didn't realize it wasn't always standard to have one. The polishing she did was no more than 30 seconds, only to the exterior of my teeth. I was informed I had a few cavities and Dr. Walia scheduled me for an appointment to get them filled. At this appointment, she only filled one of these cavities (it was not intensive, maybe 15 minutes in-and-out) and informed me she'd be scheduling me for another appointment for the rest, explaining that she didn't want to numb both sides of my mouth and risk me biting my tongue. That's reasonable. I arrived for the next appointment. Dr. Walia's assistant (who she actively degraded throughout my first two appointments) was absent and her receptionist filled in. It's unclear if the receptionist had any training... Again, this was a quick appointment: in and out. The cavity was so minor that we agreed not to use novocain. Yet, I was told I'd have to make yet another appointment for the next cavity. This was scheduled this upcoming Monday, despite my frustration with the process. Just wanted to get it over with. Today, I received a call from Dr. Walia herself, asking to reschedule due to staffing. We agreed on a new date and I did express my frustrations regarding the process. We disconnected and I soon received a text and a call back from Dr. Walia, stating she could keep my original appointment. I expressed concern due to her staffing issues on that date and requested to keep the rescheduled time. Dr. Walia continued to push that she could do the filling on the original appointment date, despite previously indicating she didn't have proper help. At that point, I requested she cancel my appointment and forward me my X-rays from the initial appointment via email so I can continue with a more appropriate dentist. I guess we'll see if I even get those... In providing my email to Dr. Walia, she realized she was not speaking with the patient she had thought she was talking to, noting in surprise that I was not a woman named "Julia." I only hope that her attention to detail holds up better in her dental work.

Dr. Rao is very compassionate and will give me as much Novocaine as needed. I recently had a rather large bridge put in, spanning 6 teeth, but she made sure I was as comfortable as possible during the lengthy procedure. This is important: Dr. Rao is extremely precise in her work. She takes the time to make sure everything is done to perfection. When I leave there, I know the work done is the best. I love Janina, the hygienist. She's wonderful. And the assistants are friendly and knowledgeable. And I want to give some serious appreciation to the office staff. These gals are awesome. They really know thier way around the billing and insurance system and will take the time to patiently answer all of my questions. Love this place so much, my whole family goes here now.

I gave her my info on allergic medicine. She gave me that same type of medicine. This delayed me more since I had an operation scheduled and needed to be healthy. Guess what, I had to postpone that surgery. Had to go back to my regular doctor and pay for another physical so I could get cleared for my operation. She did not listen to me at all after explaining everything to her. She messed me up. Now wants to destroy my credit! Will never use her again! Stay away.
