I don't mind that this airport gets busy, it is what it is, but the employees and staff/TSA are always pretty dang unfriendly. I once preemptively took off my shoes because I'd always been required to prior, and this TSA staff very smugly? rudely? asked me if anyone had asked me to take them off and to put them back on since no one told me too. Another time my shoes in the scanner bin actually got pushed off and my shoes fell underneath the scanner onto the floor...And I tried to get an employee to grab them for me...But they like...aggressively avoid eye contact. It took me like 10 minutes to flag someone down to help me. Also, one time as my husband and I were making out way to one of the gates there was dog poop smeared on the ground. This airport kinda really sucks lol. I think they have an okay selection of stores/restaurants, but the prices are jacked, but in an egregious way. Having been to other international airports at other countries, I think we can do better...It would be nice if this place got even a general aesthetic upgrade.

The airport is not as great when comparing to Changi Airport in Singapore, but it's clean (at least cleanlier and more modern-looking than the domestic airline buildings in LAX.

For an international gateway in a city like Los Angeles, I expected a bit more. The food options are pretty mid. There are enough choices to get by, but nothing that really stands out or makes arriving early worthwhile. Overall, it is functional and gets the job done, but there is definitely room for improvement.

Also got to hang out in the American Express Centurion Lounge before the flight, which was really nice. Overall a good experience, especially compared to how it used to be. You're practically walking half the airport from security back to the gates once you get through and several of the stores aren't available due to the construction so don't expect a lot of amenities on the other side once you enter. Sears at the gates at LAX are always uncomfortable but these especially weren't great. And the best part... a loud alarm came on from a gate that did not get turned off for several minutes which is always pleasant at 5am. So if you're flying American just be prepared...

I was happy with the amount of food options this airport had as well, though prices are what you'd expect them to be. The Delta lounge here is a little hard to find, you'll need to go up an elevator. This airport is clean and well laid out in my opinion. There are plenty of outlets around to charge devices, and ample sitting room at the gates, which I really appreciated. One of the better airports I've experienced overall.

I used to arrive at LAX (Los Angeles International Airport), but in stopped because Hawaiian Airlines got moved over to Tom Bradley Airport (International Flights) instead of being at Terminal 5. I strongly disliked dragging my luggage from Tom Bradley Airport to Terminal 5 where the rental car shuttles were. I tried Long Beach Airport, but they close early and so do the Rental Car Companies... then I get stuck without a rental car if my flight is delayed. I switched to Ontario International Airport, but this time, I needed a red eye flight which LAX had because of the merger with Alaska Airlines. It's complex, but there are some benefits (such as more flight chouces) to switching back to LAX. I'm super happy that we landed at Terminal 6. Why? 1. The rental car shuttles stop here! 2. There are several restrooms between the gate and Baggage Claim 3. Directional signs are clear and numerous 4. The environment is modern, bright, spacious, and clean. Perhaps I will return to Terminal 6 in the near future!

When I know I'm flying out of this terminal, I don't think about getting to the airport early. Whereas if it was another terminal I absolutely would. Staff generally are annoyed but not as bad as JFK. They ain't winning awards for customer service but they do explain things pretty well. This time around I flew out of gate 52D. If you're in any of the 52 gates other than A or B, know that you need to get to the 52 gate and then you'll have to chat with a gate agent, scan your boarding pass, then take another bus to your gate. Thats how big LAX is. You need to jump on another 5 minute shuttle ride to get to your gate. The 52 gates aren't world class. It's pretty old. Probably just neglected since most of the flights here are regional / short distance flights. There's flights to Seattle, Bay Area, etc from here. Overall verdict - you could certainly do worse. But for how big it is, I think it's a pretty well oiled machine. And that in of itself earns a 3 star from me.

There were lots of (clean) restrooms, quiet area, unfortunately all the restaurants were closed but otherwise, no problem flying out from LAX at all

United staff in Terminal 7 pulled out all the stops for a unique experience at Gate 71…read more The great United staff welcomed UA2605 flyers with cheers to a gate party hosted with a food spread (kebab skewers, cheesecake poppers, sliders and more), a live DJ, swag and speeches to mark the final leg of the 7 HUB run through United's network. The layout of Gate 71 made things a little tight and chaotic at times but overall a great event to see in LAX.

The main Terminal for united airlines is dated and shows the signs of decades of heavy use. As with most of LAX it needs some serious attention and modernization. That being said it is functional and while it might not be spotless it serves its' purpose. Airplanes come and go, passengers move through steadily, and the hustle and bustle stays around. There are restaurants and stores in the Terminal for passengers and employees. I fly through Terminal 7 fairly frequently. It's one of the better laid out Terminals at lax.

PARKING Parking in the garage is $9 for the first hour and $7/half hour thereafter. AUTOMATED PEOPLE MOVER There should be an elevated electric train called the automated people mover (APM) linking light rail, terminals, and parking and rental cars for use this year, pending successful testing. Hope to see this soon, as it's very much needed to alleviate traffic on roads.

Since this was her first time I made sure to make her understand each sign so that the next time she can do it on her own and I won't have to pay the extra $150 each way. I told her that airports are pretty much set up for dummies and it's pretty hard to get lost as long as you can read! The unaccompanied minor aspect was nice as we were allowed to take her all the way to the gate like we use to be able to do before 9-11. Upon her pickup in New York, her designated pickup person was a bit late and she was set up in a nice room with all kinds of amenities like games and a recliner so she was comfortable! TSA was a breeze this time around especially since you no longer have to take your shoes off! It was truly painless.

Staff were very friendly. Only United flies from this terminal. Making it very convenient.
