This is the worst FBO I have been to at any airport in the entire United States. Call for fuel and they constantly tell you "they're on the way" when they are in fact not on the way. 3 hours later you might get fuel, maybe you won't. On top of that, the people working the phones are rude and take zero accountability for lying about wait times. Words cannot describe how horrible this FBO is. read more

WHAT A HORRIBLE PLACE!! Not sure who they think they are but some serious introspection is in order. THEY LOST THE KEYS TO OUR CAR. Seriously. We waited one hour after we landed, all the while being fed B.S. by employee Kenny (who has one serious attitude) only to then be told that they could not find the keys to our car. If it was not so sad, it would be funny. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!! I don't care how many movie stars land there, the incompetence is not worth it. read more

Have heard a lot of nasty things about Signature Aviation franchises in different parts of the country, my experience in Van Nuys tonight was anything but bad service. Lineman were very helpful and professional, at they front desk they were most helpful. Money, money, money, money, moneeeeey! Everything about this place screams awesomeness! I recently had the privilege of flying in a private plane and well what can I say, other than I wish I could do it all the time!! You don't have to get up days before to make your flight, you don't have to wait in long tines and the best no TSA (if anyone knows anything about me they know I H-A-T-E TSA!!!!) The service if beyond exceptional but then again when you're going in a private plane it should be. Not much else I can say but money definitely makes the world go round. I was on a short VFR hop from KCMA to KWHP when the visibility went bad. I had to divert to KVNY. I asked KVNY ground where I could park for an hour to wait out the weather, and they directed me to Signature West. I found the ramp, and the line guy had me park in an out-of-the-way spot. I told him I would be an hour, and would not even be leaving the plane. He said "no problem, have a nice day," and walked away. About 10 minutes later he comes back, and tells me they want me to come inside, register, and PAY A LANDING FEE. I reminded him that I was only going to be there for less than an hour. He said it was not his decision. I decided to fire up the plane, called ground and asked for a spot where I could wait for the visibility to improve. Ground vectored me to another area where I could park without charge. Look, I get that Signature is a business, but at some point good business also includes helping out someone who had to make a short pit-stop to wait-out some weather. Rather than write this nasty review, I could have just as easily written a positive one had they helped! A little courtesy and common sense goes a long way! Signature has long had a lousy reputation. Amazing service, best aviation company in Van Nuys airport. The atmosphere is pleasant, front desk service is always on point.

Weird, a couple of the other reviews for this FBO. Obviously they were passengers, unfamiliar with the services common to the non-commercial side of airports. Yes, there is no TSA. That's how it is when you fly a private airplane lol, regardless of where you tie it down. If you're a "little guy" in a single-engine piston airplane, don't even think about taxiing to Signature when you land at Van Nuys. You'll need to buy 25 gallon minimum of fuel that costs twice self-serve, just to park there. PLUS, the overnight ramp fee is $101. The line crew are super nice, though. Those guys will come up to you and politely tell you the score, then, under their breath recommend McGuire or PentaStar aviation. We ended up choosing PentaStar. Wow, the friendliest FBO I've ever been to. And completely free! They must give their flight desk girls happy pills. They aren't a dive, either. Very pretty building with plenty of private jets parked on their ramp. I can see why. Sad this particular Signature is so mercinary and unfriendly to everyday pilots and aircraft. The Signature at Santa Barbara only asks for (if memory serves) a 5 gallon fill and will give you a free crew car for the asking. No ramp fee. Even the Signature in Las Vegas (McCarran) is cheaper and friendlier. I don't really understand why Signatures from airport to airport vary so much in fees and services. Maybe each is a franchise. But one thing I do know... I won't be back to this one. read more

I work where we have to fly helicopters for a living. I am blessed with good employment. Several times a day we have to land off site and refuel. We don't get to come to Van Nuys Signature Flight Services a lot but when we do everyone at the front desk is always friendly and helpful. The FBO gets a little busy and the employees never get flustered they just do there jobs which I like. What a concept no attitudes they just do their jobs. Way to go Signature you hired good people read more

Lot's of movie stars! $40 to park over night is ridiculous! Nothing to give away like other FBO's and there is a hotel on the strip.

Talk about being baller. You have to have or know any one that owns a $35 million jet to fly here. I love the part that you drive to your plane and when you get out of your car, it takes you 2 sec to get from your car to your plane. We never had to deal with staff so i dont know about that but the airport manager was there to make sure that everything was going good. the best part about this place.... NO TSA!!!!!! no hassle of taking your shoes off and have some hot chick staring at your worn down barney socks... read more

The staff here at Signature is great and do a wonderful job supporting the various individuals that fly in and out of Van Nuys Airport.

Attention do not apply to work for this company completely unprofessional and do not show up names involved Dorian Cody, Andrew Olson, Gus Chavez. I complained and no response from these three. Do not work for this company and I wouldn't fly for them either because if they can't show up to interview you they won't treat you well as a costumer. I find that treating current, future and past employees well they have no right to be in business. Do not fly for them or work for them. read more

This place is a joke of an FBO first they flag us in on the Ramp as far away as possible from the front door of the FBO then as we are deplaning passengers they flag a Lear jet in front of us and blast our passengers and Cabin with Jet Exhaust when I question the line guy as to why he parked us in that location he said they had already staged the passengers car for the Lear and had to put him in front of us ! I guess they did not want to move that car ! When we went to close out our Bill for being on the Ramp at Signature for s total of 3 hour they hit us with a $ 270. 00 dollar ramp fee ! If your a professional pilot looking to get rest in the Pilot lounge , forget it cuz all your gonna hear is the line guys slamming the door in and out of their office which is right next to the pilot lounge ! read more

I've been coming to signature for the past several years, as I fly with a federal organization and use them for fueling, never had any problems. But apparently if I don't come in a uniform, they don't care about being respectful. I walked in and stood over on the side of lobby as I was waiting for someone to meet me, who was coming from the flight line. The front desk lady came around the corner and started being very aggressive, asking why I was there. When I told her I was waiting for someone on the flight line to walk in, she started getting very ugly with me - telling me how she has to know who's in the lobby. She asked for my name, I gave it to her. She asked who I'm waiting for, I told her. I was polite - and even told her my reason of visit. She kept bullying me, being extremely hostile and rude. NOT what I would expect from a signature branch. I'll use Mguire or signature east next time. read more

We flew into KVNY in a Citation for a three hour stay and had called 10 mins out to announce our arrival at the FBO. After landing, we pulled onto their ramp and held our position for about a minute while three ramp line guys just stood off to the side ignoring us. We then just decided to park in front of the main doors as one of the line man began to walk across the ramp not even looking at us. No one attempted to direct us where to park. As we came to a stop, the guy who was walking across the ramp began waiving his arms for us to park behind where we came to a stop. We had to make a 360 degree turn and he then parked us. These are the laziest group of ramp guys I've seen. The ramp service is horrible and they seem to not care. For a ramp fee of $319.00, I expect better service. Later in the day, I called the manager to voice my concern, but he never bothered to return my call. If you go to Van Nuys, park at Clay Lacy for better service. read more
