When I arrive early at LAX, I can always count on hanging out at the Alaska Lounge. They've upped their game with including a nice array of hot food for breakfast and lunch. Upon arrival, I enjoyed a mocha with some oatmeal and a blueberry muffin. For lunch, I had Kimchi fried rice, pork spring rolls and pulled pork in bulgogi sauce accompanied by coleslaw and a kale salad. Everything was tasty! It's a great place to hang out, leave your stuff in one spot, relax in a quiet area and get a bite to eat. Staff are welcoming, friendly and helpful.

This lounge was a very basic and simple lounge. They had a small hot bar with food which was not bad. I didnt try to the drinks at the bar but they had some alcoholic and non alcoholic options. It is a good place to hang out if you have a flight with Alaska. It wasnt too crowded on a Friday night. Restrooms were clean and staff was friendly. Wifi is also available!

I really enjoy this Alaska lounge! It's quite spacious and open compared to some of the other lounge setups I've seen (like the awkward two story lounge a at Seatac). The food is quite standard, and the buffet is well maintained. I frequent this Alaska lounge often as I fly in and out of LAX all the time, and I've never had trouble finding a spot to sit and relax. Checking into the lounge is quite easy as the lounge pass is linked to the boarding pass. Bartenders are incredibly nice, and the staff circle around frequently to tidy up the space. Even so, I wish people would bus their own plates and glasses and do their part to keep it clean.

The lounge is meager compared to the other lounges @ LAX. Their saving grace is the fully stocked bar or they'd be a 1 star. The buffet was gross; the bacon, eggs & carne looked overcooked. The muffins looked like school lunch & were pathetic. There was barely any fruit so I settled for some hummus and pita which was ok. The private cubbies were nice. They don't do day passes but if you're traveling far enough, first class they'll accommodate you.

I arrived in the LAX airport and located this lounge. I was greeted by very friendly host, she is the reason I gave it an extra star. She was very apologetic, and sweet when saying " unfortunately." No priority pass, no day passes, and the people in front of me didn't "qualify" due to not being a connection lounge/ not having enough miles in their trip. Super confusing, and the host said if they or I were apart of the admiral club. Safe to say no luck at getting in. I have multiple ways to enter lounges, and this was a no. Very unfortunate.

Pretty basic lounge set up

So there are lounges that are destinations in and of themselves (I'm looking at you Delta One Lounge at JFK), and then there are are lounges to simply pass the time in what is hopefully a more comfortable area than a loud airport terminal. The Alaska lounge at LAX falls in the latter category. It's... fine. It's kind of stylish, there's a bar, you have a view of the gates. But it's not a place that I would particularly seek out ahead of a flight. It's honestly, a bit underwhelming, As in most airport lounges, the food set up reminds you of a free breakfast set up that you'd see at any number of limited service hotels. Food in cold cafeteria trays or under heat lamps. Not exactly appetizing. However, I did grab a bagel and a pastry because I missed breakfast and I can honestly say it tasted better than it looked. The real disappointment, however, were the bathrooms. I HATE airport bathrooms and consider an elevated and hopefully more private bathroom experience the greatest perk of an airport lounge. These bathrooms felt like an airport terminal bathroom with slightly better soap. Major disappointment especially considering the cost of a business class international ticket which is the way most people gain access to the lounge. Where this lounge does shine is the customer service. The staff really are great. They do a good job of making this as comfortable as possible from a service perspective ahead of a flight. Suffice it to say, this is not my favorite lounge. Honestly, if it weren't so early and were I not so tired, I would have walked over to terminal 5 to access the centurion lounge. I still maintain that I prefer this lounge to actually sitting in the terminal... It's worth a visit ahead of a flight. I wouldn't expect much outside of that.

The staff is what makes this lounge a success. An employee by the name of Frances is beyond exceptional with her care & customer service abilities. PLEASE get this woman in a managerial role so she can really shine. The pancake maker is also very good.

The lounge is located in the middle of terminal 6. They are super friendly here and I have a good choice of food for breakfast. I love that they have fresh pancakes and the machine that makes them. It's pretty awesome to watch. There's lots of seating including tables and lots of seating with charging ports which is always a plus.

Boy, has the quality of this LAX lounge gone down. Desperately need an overhaul facelift. Place is a mess, kind of looks grungy. The food area is really disappointing, messy, and the quality is cheap. No longer things like fresh yogurt or cream cheese in individual packages, it's now a community-share knife in a vat of congealed goop. Disgusting. It now looks more like a rundown cafeteria than a first class lounge. I've been coming here for over 12 years and this is just sad.

A great lounge where we were able to stay away from the airport crowds enjoy time with the family before our flights and have some drinks while enjoying some snacks .

Resting before the flight

Friendly customer service and a great place to relax before the flight! Comfortable pleasurable experience.

Ask the Community - Alaska Lounge

I'm concerned about how many priority pass members are turned away. Are there better times to go? Can we do something about this especially given that there are very limited options for priority pass members in the domestic terminals?

Agreed. I would say it's closed to Priority Pass members 75% of the time when I am at LAX Terminal 6. I bought Priority Pass solely for that lounge so it irks me that I usually can't use it. They seem very quick to put that sign out, and when I… Read more

Can you access this lounge while traveling first class to Mexico with Alaska?

Only if you purchased first class. Upgrades don't count

Can you stay in the lounge past closing time? What if you have a 4am red eye? Can I go in at 11pm and just rest in there?

No sorry they close at 11 pm

If you are arriving internationally, be prepared for a long walk, but then everything is a long walk at LAX. (And don't believe them when they tell you that gate 26 is a 5 minute walk) Upon entering the serene space, we were warmly welcomed and shown to a table. This isn't the overpacked lounge with scroungy looking fruit and cups of yoplait. No, you order from a menu. I wish I'd had time to really peruse the menu - due to delays, our 3 hour layover was reduced to less than an hour. Because of time constraints, we both ordered a breakfast croissant. Perfectly scrambled eggs, thick crispy bacon, cheddar and avacado all nestled in a large, fresh croissant. Delicious. As it was breakfast time, a lovely display of morning baked goods, both sweet and savory, were displayed for your choosing. There are small bags if you are just running through. We tried a jam bar and a palmier - both were also delicious. Mimosas were freely flowing and the bar was open. Cappuccinos, lattes, flat whites and even plain old regular black coffee is available. Just ask. There is an outdoor seating area that I would have loved to have had time to sit and enjoy. You have to check out the bathrooms - my husband was oddly excited about the individual stalls. I'm now sitting in a Sky Club in Atlanta. I'd normally be happy as could be, but now it's a bit of a let down. It's time to just shake off the fairyland of flying Delta One and come back to my Southwest Airlines basic fare lifestyle. I'm just going to sit here and stay on my private little isle a few minutes longer ...

One of my cards reimburses me for ancillary fees (lounges, inflight food & drink, et al), so I decided to give this lounge a whirl. Positives: They have hot food vs Terminal 4 that had no hot food when I flew AA in May, 2025; The lounge is more spacious vs Terminal 4; The food was pretty good, but should have included more hot food like scrambled eggs, bacon, et al; Showers; Negatives: $79 daily fee. United charges $59, but their LAX lounge is much larger and has more hot food; The fee in relation to the offerings is misaligned. For the price, they should have more offerings; I plan on flying AA more bc of service and price. I also plan on getting AA's top card that includes an Admirals Club membership. Then I don't have to worry about the high daily use fee.

In one word: disappointed. THE FOOD: While there were more options than a typical lounge, quantity didn't make up for quality. The food simply didn't compare to the Centurion Lounge in taste or execution. Even more surprising, several items ran out and sat empty for a while before staff noticed or replenished them. THE SERVICE: This was a mixed bag. On the positive side, when I asked about a specific item being restocked, the manager personally brought out a fresh plate of my favorite dish, which was appreciated. That said, the overall attentiveness felt inconsistent (see below). THE AMBIANCE: It's definitely more private and feels a bit more "exclusive"... but not necessarily more comfortable. The main seating area was extremely warm. When I asked about it, I was told it was due to the sun pouring in through the large windows. Unfortunately, that didn't make the experience any less uncomfortable--I was genuinely miserable trying to relax before my flight. Bottom line: For the premium price, I expected a noticeably elevated experience across the board. Instead, it felt like a modest upgrade in space, but a downgrade in comfort and food quality. Not worth the hype or the cost.

The windows make it super nice during the day, even though I didn't take advantage of it obviously. Food options had a little local LA flavor, but I also ate dinner. Granted, very little actually stood out to me as something I'd actually like to eat. The bar is fairly nice and large. Not too many people though, so maybe I took advantage of it during quieter times (though the lounge was quite packed). I like that there's a terrace. People could make good use of it during the day.
