This was also my first time ever flying first class, and I ended up choosing Delta One. Best decision ever! They helped make the entire experience feel so special. I'm normally the person who gets to the airport about an hour and a half early because I hate sitting around waiting for my flight. After experiencing this lounge, I realized I need to get to the airport four hours early next time! I could have easily spent the entire day here. From the moment I walked in, the staff were phenomenal. I first met Treasure, who was incredibly kind and helpful. I had seen videos and reviews online and somehow got it into my head that someone would personally escort me on the elevator when I arrived. She explained that there are different levels of Delta One service and that particular perk is part of an even more premium experience. But instead of just saying, "No, that's not included," she offered to speak with the manager and see if there was anything they could do for me. I was already grateful that she even asked. While I was enjoying my meal, Treasure came back and told me they could make it happen. Y'all... they really did! After my massage, I was escorted through the lounge and into a private area where I was shown a lineup of Porsches to choose from. They then drove me directly to my terminal, where I was taken up the back stairs and straight onto my Delta One flight. I didn't have to wait around with everyone else. I was just... escorted directly to my plane. WHAT?! And the lounge itself? Beautiful and peaceful. I spent about two hours there and loved every minute. They have a private massage area with individual massage chairs separated by curtains. You can choose your music and ambiance, and the room is dark and relaxing. The chair reclines all the way back, and it honestly feels like such a premium experience. I believe you can book the chair for up to 30 minutes, and they're always offering you wine while you relax. Honey, I was in heaven! The food and drinks were also amazing. They have made to order sushi, cocktails, wine, desserts, and a great menu. I had the steak frites, Caesar salad, fish tacos, and Pinot Noir. The steak frites were amazing, the Caesar salad was perfectly dressed, and the fish tacos were pretty good. The Pinot Noir was also hitting I had a couple glasses, but please learn from me and pace yourself because I am a lightweight! I had been looking forward to this birthday trip for months, and at one point while sitting in the lounge, I called my mom and started tearing up because I was so happy. This was only my second solo trip, but experiencing my first ever first class flight and doing it for my birthday made it feel incredibly special. I was experiencing all of this by myself, and it was such a beautiful reminder that I had created this experience for me. I've even compared menus online from other Delta One Lounges, including locations in New York, and I honestly think the LAX menu looks incredible. I just wish I had enough room to try more of the desserts! Clearly, I'll have to come back. If you're considering splurging on Delta One, especially for a special trip, I genuinely think it's 1,000% worth experiencing if you have the funds. This experience spoiled me so much that I came home thinking, "Oh my goodness... I can't do economy anymore. I need to get my money up!" The bar staff in the day is outstanding. Big shout out to Derrick. Anything you can think of, he'll concoct it with skill. And too many beer and wine and champagne options to mention here. You won't go away dry. If you're Star Alliance Gold and flying domestic, this is always an option for you free of charge. No first class or international ticket needed. The first thing I noticed was how well staffed the lounge was. There were no lines to check in, get food or order a drink at the bar. The tables were clean, and as soon as someone left, the table was cleared and wiped down. Staff also regularly walked through the lounge collecting used plates. The employees were friendly and seemed to genuinely enjoy interacting with the guests. At one point, I said to my partner, "The last time we visited United's Polaris Lounge, we waited in line to check in, waited in line for food and waited in line for a drink. The food was on par with what you might find at Costco, and the staff treated us with indifference--yet Polaris is supposed to be the exclusive lounge." The Alaska Lounge may not have the same air of exclusivity, but the attentive service, relaxed atmosphere and lack of lines made for a much better experience.

Positives: They have hot food vs Terminal 4 that had no hot food when I flew AA in May, 2025; The lounge is more spacious vs Terminal 4; The food was pretty good, but should have included more hot food like scrambled eggs, bacon, et al; Showers; Negatives: $79 daily fee. United charges $59, but their LAX lounge is much larger and has more hot food; The fee in relation to the offerings is misaligned. For the price, they should have more offerings; I plan on flying AA more bc of service and price. I also plan on getting AA's top card that includes an Admirals Club membership. Then I don't have to worry about the high daily use fee.

Located just north of the TSA security point, the Sky Club is located between Terminals 2 & 3. Once you check in, you will ride the elevator or escalator to the main club floor. At the main floor, the first half of the lounge has a lot of seats, a good proportion with outlets. Then there is the bar, outdoor patio, drink station, & finally buffet area. Other amenities include showers, hot chocolate, and even a slushy station. The buffet rotates between an an assortment of breakfast items and lunch/dinner. At this Sky Club, there is always a featured dish to order. Most times its tacos, this time for 4th of July it was hotdogs/smoked sausages. After I got some things to eat, I got paged by the hospitality desk. With food, drink, and my bags it was too much to carry to the front, so I wolfed things down until I take everything there. At the hospitality station, I was informed that I would make my 1 millionth mile (Lifetime Gold status) on the upcoming trip back home! Got a picture and some swag right there, and a link to order the gift & luggage tags! How awesome! It was a great way to cap the vacation! Recommend and will repeat!

The Los Angeles temperature was 104° outside, and in this so called high end lounge, it was hot. Really? The excuse: we are in the process of replacing our air conditioners. Then I heard frequent travelers state and complain, that they have been trying to fix the air all summer. Go figure. Shameful. On top of that, you have to sacrifice 15K Aadvantage miles or $150, even though you are booked First Class domestic or out of the country (business too), unless you are going very far, or to the moon. The food this time was no surprise, unappetizing and very disappointing. It is always hit or miss here, albeit, on an unimpressive level. Terriyaki ginger beef was hard and dry. Thai roasted salmon looked good, till you took a bite. Also tough. How can you fail with salmon? I was really scared to even try the pale looking chicken Tanjine. Enticing descriptions. No delivery. Believe it or not, the best selection was the smoked paprika roasted potatoes. Nice. The crudites were good on the vegetable part (how can you go wrong). The accompanying hummus (probably bottled, was what it was). No freshness, no oomph. This lounge has a live station, 6-8 pm. This time it was Penne Pasta. And assembled on demand, at the station, with your preferred additives (all vegetarian) and desired condiments. This is what most of us, if we are here, at the right time, look forward to. They had 3 sauces. Alfredo, Pesto and an Arrabbiata. I started with the Alfredo, few penne shells (nice and large), mushrooms, peas, spinach, garlic, chili flakes, fresh grated Parmesan. For the second try, I went with more peas, lesser mushrooms, spinach, some tomato, of course garlic, just two pieces of penne and then the Arrabbiata sauce and Parmesan. Not a favorite of red sauces, but this was spicy and welcome. I took a pause, to digest, relax. On purpose, I left the Pesto tasting for the last. Only double peas, mushrooms, red chili, parmesan, two penne cylinders and pesto. All 3 concoctions were good, well assembled. The best so far, for this visit. Still, the American Airlines Flagship lounge, is highly deficient, in the food department. If they can fix this, and the air con, that even employees are complaining about, they can compete, with the major international airlines of the world. Yes, American Airlines flies all over the world. But their lounges, like this one at LAX are major failures still. Like they have always been.

Attendant service was constant as dirty dishes were cleared often, but this one female worker was seemed indolent as she expected dishes to be handed to her rather than her picking them up herself. OVERALL: I've said it before and I'll say it again: It's better than sitting with the masses in the terminal!

But if you do not have a pass, it will cost $59 per person to have access. We had a red eye to fly out of LAX to BOS and so my husband figured it would be a good idea to come here to have dinner before flying out, especially since flying back from BOX to LAX, there isn't a United Lounge. So we arrived around 8:15 pm. We checked in and were greeted by friendly employees behind the counter. Then we took the escalator up to the lounge. We picked a small area to sit and then my husband was off to getting food. I just waited so that someone could watch our luggage. Then afterwards, I headed over to look at the food variety. There is a good selection of food here with some healthy options and also options for those that are vegetarian. But even with the options that they had, I didn't really like the food. I actually like the food at the American Express Centurion Lounge in Ontario, Sacramento and San Jose. I also really love the Centurion Lounge at the Seattle Airport. But I still did eat dinner so that is more of a matter of food preference. Of all the food choices, my favorite was the roasted tomato soup with gouda. It was very flavorful and had a great mouthfeel/ texture that was very creamy. I had read from another Yelp member's review that the alcohol is not free, but the alcohol was free on our visit (not sure if they changed their rules?). The lounge itself is very spacious with tables and large soft chairs that you can choose from to sit. There is also an outdoor patio but not sure if it was open during our visit since it was already night time. There are also outlets and USB ports available for charging your electronic devices. The lounge itself was clean during our visit and also nice and quiet. The ladies restroom room was clean and big enough to wheel in your luggage if you are traveling along and need to bring your luggage in with you. One thing I did not like though during our visit was that an employee reached over me without asking to do so and grabbed an empty plate and glass from the small table on my left. She ended up stepping on my shoes as she did so and did not apologize and then walked away with those used dishes. I actually was not done with my drink, which is why I did not put it away myself. I am sure it was not her intention to step over me but I believe maybe she was just determined to remove the used dishes. But think she could have done it in a better manner and believe United could train her and the other staff members on situations like these. Overall, I thought our visit was fine and it was nice to hangout here while waiting for our flight instead of waiting out in the terminal (although I don't mind that either). But I think I would prefer to try another airport lounge in the future.
