My experience started off a little rough in the beginning due to me not being able to get my vehicle out on the day of the tow. The next morning I went and was greeted by an employee Megan that was very helpful. I know there are a lot of negative reviews but my experience was a little different due to this one employee. Mega made the difference for my experience and she was very professional. I would like to add that I also made it easy for her to do her job as I had all my paperwork and things I need to retrieve my ride. Megan needs a promotion and/or raise. read more

Wow, what a predatory business! This place is definitely the bottom of the barrel. They have been in business in Memphis for quite a few years. I don't even know how they're still open. They have been sued several times and have so many complaints through the Better Business Bureau. They prey on people's misfortune. Its sad reading some of the things they have done to less fortunate people who can't afford towing expenses. My son and I went to a comedy show at Minglewood Hall. We would have been glad to pay for parking. The Minglewood Hall pay lot was completely full and every lot in every direction was full. We finally seen some other people parking in a Baskin-Robbins that was closed. This was on a Sunday night. We didn't see any no parking signs and thought it would be okay. It was a trap! We searched for signs and finnaly seen two very small signs that just said PB&J Towing with a phone number. Come to find out. This company hides around the corner and waits on everyone to go into Minglewood Hall, then they start towing people. To top it all off, they are closed on Sundays. When you call the number, it goes to voicemail or just disconnect you. All of my family was out of town that weekend. We took an Uber to PB&J towing and confirmed they were closed. Then, we turn around and had to get another Uber to take us back to Southaven Mississippi. If you're gonna tow people, you should have the decency to be open. So that people can get their car out. It ended up costing me $80 in Uber fees, and then the next morning. It costed me $250 to get my son's car out of this lot. Its predatory businesses like this. That makes people not come to Memphis for anything! The absolute greed in Memphis is real. After adding up everything. This night costed me roughly $800 to eat and see a comedy show! Thats pretty sad! Im sure these people will eventually get what's coming to them! read more

This is the worst towing company in the world. They tow cars without checking if they permitted to park. They charge you $225 even if they don't have your car for 24 hours. There's no way they should even be allowed to come in the garage of a private apartment complex. Rip off! Shady buisness practices read more

Awful service I actually can't believe they could do this to family's. Hidden signs, you couldn't tell anyone couldn't park there. It was a Dunkin' donuts. And a family country music band. 30 cars were towed. Low down people. It was my 13 year old brother's birthday. All his gifts are in the car. I didn't even go to the concert. It was my mom my little brother and my boyfriend. I let them take my car and now it's gone. I can't even get it till tomorrow morning. They are charging $225 cash or $275 card. $50 uber ride back home. I honestly can't believe people would honestly do this to make money. It's ugly. read more

Absolutely Predatory Towing Practices -- Beware! PB & J Towing towed my vehicle from my daughter's apartment (264 Cypress Cove, Memphis) less than one hour after I arrived for a short visit -- no warning, no notice, and no clearly visible signs anywhere stating visitor permits were required. I wasn't staying overnight; I was there for under 60 minutes. When I called the police, they confirmed they couldn't even take a report, even though PB & J clearly violated Memphis towing laws that require proper signage and authorization before removing a vehicle. After looking them up, I discovered dozens of BBB complaints and news reports from FOX13 Memphis and WREG about PB & J Towing's unfair, unauthorized, and downright predatory behavior. This isn't an isolated mistake -- it's a pattern. If you live in or visit any property where PB & J Towing operates, be extremely cautious. Their business model seems built on exploiting technicalities and trapping unsuspecting people instead of providing legitimate towing services. Memphis deserves better than this kind of scam operation. read more

This company towed my car for being parked on a handicap spot In my apartment building. They did not see my placard. they said oh we made a mistake. Very rude people. Wouldn't tell me their names. Refused to give me a copy of report. Said they don't make reports. No photos. Yelled at me. Did not report tow to police. For hours I thought my car was stolen. Car scratched up. Awful. Awful. Look up reviews. Several local news stations have done stories. Reporting to BBB and to whoever else I can. They made a mistake and then had the audacity to treat me the way they did! read more

These people are predators. They upcharge people if you drive an expensive car. I guess they assume you have the money. I listened to them tell someone they would charge her $125 just to get something out of their car. They lie in wait and post their signs so they are hard for people to see, just so they can make money. They are some of the most immoral people I've ever dealt with. Any business that uses them should be ashamed. They charged us $325 after towing our vehicle from by Minglewood Hall. I had to go back to the front several times to even get them to open the gate to get the vehicle after we paid the crazy amount! BEWARE! Horrible Service! read more

I knw businesses have to make money but do they have to stoop so low at times. This PB&J Towing has a bad habit of illegally towing people. My wife took the tags off the truck for a couple hours to take to the DMV with her. Once she returned home there was a sticker from PB&J Towing for nonoperable vehicle. She replaced the tags back on the truck, they returned two days later and towed the truck anyways. We asked how does a tow driver deam a vehicle nonoperable jus by looking, she said the sticker was for no tags, I then asked when he towed the truck n hooked it up did he not lool and see tags were on there, she replied he doesnt have to, told her that doesnt make sense, she then twlls me we should have went to the rental office to let them knw, but they claim to not even knw tow company had the vehicle....please make it make sense. read more

They wrongfully towed my car from my apartment complex yesterday and damaged my front bumper on my 2024 Hyundai Elantra. My car was literally dragged. Bonnie stated that they policy changed in November But my sister car was just towed in March and it was $150. Once I seen the damages on my front Bumper I walked back in there and told Bonnie, she grabbed the mechanic and he literally was beating on my bumper, I watched him do it. If i could leave this place 0 star rating I would. My car was illegally towed from my apartment complex. I have a parking permit, I have brand new tags and I was parked in a legal parking spot. When I called they were not sympathetic and said "you can wait til tomorrow morning at 9am" when in fact I could not. Not only will I be filing a lawsuit against them but I will also be sending them the bill for my hospital visit due to their negligence. read more

okay so I know they don't deserve 4 stars because of how the business treats people overall. But my experience today was positive. I was helped at the window in a timely manner. There was a nail in the tire but that could be from anywhere. read more

My situation is a little odd.. came down to visit some friends in Memphis. While there, someone stole my battery and my catalytic converter. So I left my car with a friend to be repaired while traveled home. My friend tended to my car and made sure to move it to sit in one spot. 2 days later, they towed my vehicle in the wee hours of the morning. These people are the worst. Towed my car and I live out of state. They have not been trying to work with me or anything to be able to retrieve my car while I'm 800 miles away. AND they are over charging me lying about the day the my took it from my friends house. The dude who answered the phone is super RUDE and DISRESPECTFUL! These people drive through town snatching up vehicles without cause or warrant. Witnessed using forklift to take them off their trailers and destroying them then in the process. Unable and unwilling to give information of why or who called for tow. They are unprofessional and rude.
